Scars
My scars are prefect Unique in every way Paper thin lines that cross my wrists Reminding me of my past; Picture thisA little girl stands in her yard
Staring into the distance Not thinking of anything But smiling just because- In the distance a dish breaks A world crumbing; a life ending Maybe both Blood stains the tiles With haunting memories; A single note reads cremate what’s leftMy scars are prefect
Unique in every way Paper thin lines that cross my wrists Reminding me of my past; Picture thisTen years old
Another house, not a home Another place I don’t belong A woman-not a mother A man-not a father Too many problems to cope with A razor blade tainted red with blood An escape from the world or a cry for help?My scars are perfect
Unique in every way Paper thin lines that cross my wrists Reminding me of my past Picture thisTwenty years old
A puke green room Caged- locked in like an animal Steel bars over tinted windows Voices drifting in and out Screams pleading for freedom Closed out and forgotten She only wants to dieMy scars are perfect
Unique in everyway Paper thin lines that cross my wrists Reminding me of my past Picture thisFreedom; light
The pain is all but gone The memories begin to fade As time slowly passes Children laugh They play and scream A smile once again graces her face Sunlight in a world of darknessMy scars are prefect
Unique in every way Paper thin lines that cross my wrists Reminding me that I am alive
