Prisoner
Prisoner I'm happy when I'm away from your raft,
But the closer I get to it I shiver with fear.
I wish you would let me wander away from
your dark cells.
I wish you would take away the heavy chains
that hold me in place.
Your prison is full of darkness and evil,
but mine is full of more things than the others.
It makes my skin grow dull and lifeless.
Soon I will be like all the others.
Soon I will be someone with no feelings or a voice.
Soon I will be just another collection in your prison.
