Desert Oasis

Hey, DogStar here, this is a collab fic with my good friend, NateWolf. I'm writing this first chapter, and there's at most two weeks between chapters, so you don't have to wait too long for the next installment. Anyways, here it is, the story of two men in the old west. A story told from the saddle of a horse.

Silas' boots made soft thumping noises against the wooden boards that made up the front of the town jail. The bright haired lawman heaved a happy sigh, removing his stetson and resting it by his chest, ensuring his messy tresses were behaving themselves. A sudden gust of wind blew past and Cage coughed, turning away from the dust and dirt kicked up by the stiff breeze. The checked shirt of the deputy was now speckled with dirt and as the wind disappeared once more, he turned, grumbling and wiping away the red sand. 

"Now, now, Deputy, don't get all in a fuss over a little mess like that..."

The golden-toned voice rang out clear in the silence of the moonlit street, as a lightly tanned hand found its way to his own, pulling it from his shirt front with a gentle firmness. The light blue orbs of Silas found their way to a pair of chocolatey brown eyes, in awe of the beauty before them.
