Puppet Master
Author's Note: This short story was written for the 78th anniversary of Esquire. It had to be exactly 78 words long.
----------------Life was nothing but a game to him. People were nothing but pawns to move according to his own’s desires. If one pawn was killed, another took its place. The world belonged to him. People were mere toys, puppets to be used. He was the Puppet Master, the killer who held the world captive in his deadly grasp. Blood, murder, manipulation, deception, death. All of it made him happy. All of it was part of the death game.
