Paint Me Emotion

“Emotion! I want you all to choose an emotion you feel strongly and use it! Paint me emotion! I’m going to allow you to select what you want to use as a canvas for this project; be free! Let your emotion paint the picture for you! Mesmerize me with your creations!”

Ayden had finally decided to take on a different art course in his free time. His tools were mainly for drawing; markers, pencils, charcoal, pastels, etc. The ravenette had spent very little time with a paint brush in hand. So when the choice came down to sculpting or painting, Ayden had chose the latter. Now the artist was starting to regret his choice.

Mainly because of the women flailing about at the front of the classroom. It was just his luck to end up with a crazy teacher that looked like a hippie and reminded him of the odd divination professor from those J.K.Rowling books. Ms. Kawalski could be extreme.

As soon as class was dismissed, Ayden was out the door and on his way home. The majority of the other students were probably thinking up ideas for their freshly assigned project- Ayden was still trying to get his brain past the enthusiastically-shouted assignment they’d received.

The other bad thing about his selection was that the eccentric Miss’ class took place at the end of the day. There had been openings for her AM class, but somehow -even though Ayden had made sure to check the correct box- the indigo eyed youth had been shuffled into the second group. The highlight of his evening was his sweet boyfriend’s warm welcome.

“Don’t sweat it, baby. I’m sure you’ll come up with something great that’ll mesmerize stars right into her eyes.” Lexander -blue haired, green eyed and all Ayden’s- was perched on a barstool eating his way through a hefty portion of the pasta he‘d prepared for their dinner. Ayden sat nearby at their small kitchen table with a bowl of the same stuff.

The project was due the following week, giving him seven days to come up with something. But subtract his other classes from that and add in his inability to be inspired by Ms. Kawalski’s speech, and Ayden wasn’t sure how to begin. What emotions did he feel strongly? What emotion would inspire a painting out of him?

Two strong hands came down on his shoulders and began to massage in a bone-melting fashion. “Don’t over think it, A. The right emotion will show itself. A hot bath will help you relax and ours is just big enough for the both of us.”

How had a week gone by so fast? In less than a few hours Ayden was supposed to present his assignment and it wasn’t even started! Lex was due home from work shortly and had promised to help out in any way he could. The first thought to his mind after disconnecting their quick phone call was Love. Ayden felt love very strongly. Surely he could put some of the feelings his blue-haired boyfriend stirred in him onto a canvas.

“I’m home!” Lexander cheered from the door. “Let me get changed and then we can get crackin’ on your project.” Ayden would spend the rest of his life thinking himself lucky for ending up with such a great guy. Lex had drawn him out of his shy shell and made him feel alive after their collision in the dormitory hallway. Best day ever.

The sound of their bedroom door opening drew Ayden’s attention to the doorway, his jaw dropping and his pants tightening at the sight of Lex leaning against the doorframe utterly naked. A cocky grin was shot his way as his sexy boyfriend sauntered closer, smoothing large hands along his body. “What do you think of your canvas?”

“Canvas? What?” Lex’s grin grew wider as Ayden gurgled stupidly.

“It’s an idea I came up with. The lady said you could use anything you wanted, right? So why don’t you paint on me? It might” insert meaningful pause here “inspire you to choose an emotion.”

“How am I supposed to concentrate when your naked?!” Ayden’s eyes were roaming over his ‘canvas’ greedily. He was feeling inspired alright. In a very distracting way. Was this a good idea?

“Maybe you should get naked too. I’m positive we can come up with something between us.” Lex was closing in on him, pale green eyes alight with playfulness. When their bodies met -one bare and the other clothed- Ayden gave into his emotions. “Let’s have some fun with paint, my little artist.”

“Ayden, will you please share with us your emotion! Let us see what you’ve created!” Ms. Kawalski didn’t know what she was asking for. The class was going to be quiet ’mesmerized’ too. Getting up from his seat, Ayden made his way to the front of the classroom. He stood alone, hands empty. “The emotion I chose is Passion.” And with all eyes watching him closely, he walked over and opened the door.

Not a word broke the silence as the artist led his lover into the room. The couple shared a look, the kind that said a lot without saying anything. Then Lexander untied the loose robe he wore and let it drop to the ground. One girl fainted in shock, but little ol’ Kawalski straightened her glasses and fixed her eyes on the body of Ayden’s boyfriend.

It was covered it splashes of color that had no rhyme or reason. Some areas had more paint than others -thankfully, Ayden had talked Lex into wearing briefs- and there were half formed handprints and finger impressions scattered about. She had said to ‘be free’ with their canvas choice.

“Hmm. Very interesting, Ayden. I like the direction you took this project in. You get flying colors from me, my boy!” YES! ‘I have an awesome boyfriend.’ Ms. Kawalski scribbled something down on her clipboard. “Be sure both of you wash thoroughly. You did use washable paint, correct?”

“Uhm, yes.” Ayden’s face went flaming red as Lex laughed heartily next to him.

“Good, good. Thank you for sharing with us. The rest of the class will only be more presentations, so you are excused to help your partner clean up.” Maybe the Miss wasn’t so bad after all. “But I suggest you take pictures to document your work before hand.”

“That’s a good idea, sweetheart,” Lex teased. Then the bluenette pulled Ayden close before mock-whispering, loud enough for everyone to hear, “And when we get back home and in the shower, I’ll be more than happy to paint you with my emotion.”

A/N; Yay! Three down, ninety seven to go! I’m really happy with how quickly I was able to pick a prompt, match up OCs and a storyline, and actually write this oneshot! Feeling very accomplished! Plus it’s nice to use characters that I haven’t in a while. Thanks to Aduial for being such a great reader!!
