Immortal Heart broken
Blood began to run down the white marble of the town square. Crimson drops began to travel down the cracks of the street as it looked like tear drops crying for help. Torches lit, screams being heard blood curdling screams that were in anguish and anger. People looked down at what they were destroying.
Hate blood thirsty looks on their faces thinking they were having justice, when they were really the ones that were in the wrong. A voice wanted to cry out from the crowd a child wanting this madness to stop. The words wouldn’t form her little hands clasping in fear as she tried to push through the crowds. Her tiny body being pushed and shoved. Once everyone had left after doing such a heinous crime. The sight was something that was hard to stomach, the body was mangled, the blood from this once immortal body was drained. Dead…… cold… The child walked to the body her eyes filling with tears her body was full of pain, sorrow. The tears fell on the pale skin of one that was so kind to her. “Please…………. “ was all the soft voice said. Her heart was breaking no one knew why a child would go up to the body of a vampire. Yes one that drinks blood, one said to be a demon, one of Satan hellions. The child knew otherwise and blamed herself for this. She couldn’t compose herself as she laid her head on the bloody and battered body. Her tears left her eyes in a violent river down onto the body. Though the body was just now a shell it was as if the spirit of this once powerful vampire could feel this child’s sorrow . She felt the blame on her shoulders and she didn’t know what to do.Before all this though the little girl wasn’t really that happy to begin with. Her father would do things to her that a father should never do to a child let alone his own daughter. Her mother was a drunk that wished to have nothing with the child. She used to have hair that was golden blond like golden wheat and eyes like gleaming emeralds. Her thick hair draped down her back as she went to the market for food. Chores such as this was always what she did. No friends, no playing or giggling. Forced to grow up and be treated as if she was nothing more but a mess under their shoe. She had paid for the meat and produce that would feed her mother and her father and a little for her if she was lucky. Oh how hungry she was feeling her stomach rumbled from hunger. She wasn’t one that was over weight but her parents always said she was ugly and had the size of a pig when she didn’t. Something evil seemed to walk the streets that day though by looking you wouldn’t think nothing bad would happen. As she turned to go back home she was cornered by the local beauty and witch Angel. The girl was as thin as a stick and hair as long as the corn and the hair matched. But this one was evil, eyes that only held evil. She looked when she heard a voice.“Oh this child…….going to get goods for her poor family.” She said as she pointed a finger at the girls hair twisting it slightly “ Oh you have such fine hair and it is just as gold as mine” She made a tsk tsk tsk sound with her lips as she tugged the hair a little” Too bad you wont have that hair color for much longer. “ Angel said with a wicked grin. The girl didn’t speak. Before she had time to speak her hair felt strange as she saw something from the corner of her eye. Her eyes got wide as she saw flame engulfing her hair she ran and screamed her hair was on fire. She ran and was able to put it out. Her head was thankfully not burned but her once golden hair was now black as a ravens wing.Though she tried to wash it over and over but the black remained. Tears flowed from the child’s eyes. Knowing her parents would punish her though she was not in the wrong, the girl made her way home slowly to returning to the hell she had lived in since she was born.
