Toki's past
Tears streamed unnoticed down his cheeks as he sat curled up with his brother at the edge of a growing pool of blood. The tips of their long hair getting soaked in the cooling liquid, not that either of them noticed.
Taki was wrapped protectively around him, his injured leg barely curled at his side. Toki clenched his fingers into his brother's shirt. It was all his fault, he knew it. His fault that his parents had attacked them. His fault that he couldn't defend himself so Taki did it and got hurt so bad. If he could have just given in once more, believed the whispered promises none of it would have had to happen.
He couldn't bring himself to close his eyes as he hid his face even more against Taki. He knew he would just see the broken look on his brother's face as he was forced to choose between his beloved brother and his parents. They'd switched so fast between pleading and promising with Toki; to attacking him and his brother when Taki showed up it had surprised both brothers and allowed Taki to be injured fairly fast.
"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry." He kept murmuring to Taki over and over. Taki's repeated reassurances not sinking in.

As soon as he could, Toki found a job. He wanted to work hard, to support himself so that he wouldn't be a burden on his brother. He'd given him so much ever since they were young he just couldn't ask anymore of him. The injury from their parents having stolen his dream from him.
Time went by and they became uneasy around eachother. A tension always seemed to be in the air whenever they looked at eachother. So when his brother had been offered a job as a driver, he'd encouraged him. Toki had felt so very happy for his brother, but he couldn't go join him working in the house. So he'd just smiled and reassured him. And watched his brother limp off to the car.

Red-tipped blond hair swayed in the breeze as Toki doubled over. The anguish and betrayal he felt as he looked up at his attacker hurt him more than any of the physical pain. Toki hadn't really expected love from the man he was staring at, but he had never thought it would come to this.
He'd been offered a job, a steady one with more pay than the substitute teaching position he currently had. He'd taken it and come to get his things from the school. Which is how he'd ended up being beaten by his ex. Someone at the school had started rumors, which his ex had heard and taken to heart apparently.
Toki barely had time to react before he was hit again. Words were being spoken but they never fully registered. Black took over his vision and roaring in his ears drowned out the rest. He curled in on himself as he passed out from the pain.

A warm hand slid over his stomach, startling him out of his reverie. He turned his head and pressed a gentle kiss to his partner's lips. All that he'd been through, and would go through, was worth it for moments like this. Cuddled with Daichi in their home, warm and relaxed and safe.
Toki was still amazed at times at how easily Daichi and himself had fit together. In the few weeks they'd been together he'd been happier than he'd been in ages.
"Love you." He said suddenly, knowing it was true. Toki smiled softly at the startled look on Daichi's face. It was quickly transformed into a smile that Toki would do anything for.
