Reflections
Majin reflected on what had happened after his rescue from that place. He smiled softly and buried his nose in soft, light blue hair. Majin loved the scent of the man sleeping in his arms. He closed his eyes and drifted into the memories. They weren't all pleasant, but they were his.

Maja watched his mother play with his sisters. He was curled up, sitting in the corner of the room, just watching. He was never allowed to join in, often treated as if he didn't exist. Which he preferred over when his mother did notice him.
He'd been to a couple different foster homes. One that he had hoped he could stay at forever. His mother had gotten him back, claiming that things had changed. If only he could tell the people who'd made this decision to put him back here. He sighed and rested his head on his knees. An unwanted child, he was told so often enough.

Maja rubbed at his forehead, sitting in front of his computer. His editor had gotten ahold of his lover, and so there was no peace in his house. Not that there ever seemed to be any more. He wished he was in his seat because he had an idea. That he was going to start writing because he wanted to.
Not because he was afraid of seeing his lover. Maja longed for the person he'd met. The one who'd told him he was wanted, needed. He closed pained golden eyes at how far his lover was from the man who'd cared for him so gently before. Who'd needed him as much as Maja had need him back.
Maja shifted in his seat, bruises making it hard to be comfortable. The last time his editor, Lychal, had beaten him he'd nearly had broken bones. His lover, Ritak, had just leaned against a wall and watched.
He should just leave. His new friend he'd been talking to on the net had told him so often enough. Mischief had stopped by once when Ritak was out, trying to convince him.
"What are you doing?" The low growl made Maja jump, fingers skittering across the keyboard. Ritak seemed satisfied once there was sound and vanished back into the bedroom. He looked back to the board and started typing.
*******************************************************
He woke to a deceptively gentle touch on his face. Maja cringed internally, he knew from experience it wouldn't stay that way. And the lighter the touch the worse his day would be. He reluctantly opened his eyes to look at his lover.
Maja really wished he could have been surprised to see his editor looking down at him as well. Though he couldn't remember any reason why Lychal would be there. He did know the reason couldn't be good.
"What..?" He glanced at both of them and flinched at the smiles that crossed their faces.
"Tch, relax idiot."
"Mmm, yes. This won't hurt...me." Lychal's cold smile widened as he reached for Maja.

The next thing he remembered was seeing the barely contained rage on Mischief's face a few days later. The disturbingly easy way he nearly killed the two who'd been abusing him and keeping him trapped.
Mischief turned towards him and he just watched him. He couldn't believe someone he barely knew had come to help him. Maja held out a shaking hand and Mischief took it.
"Can you stand?" The golden haired cat murmured. Maja pushed himself against the bed and stood shakily. Just the fact that someone had come for him when he hadn't expected anyone gave him the strength.
Maja didn't pause to grab anything other than his personal laptop and wallet. When they reached Mischief's car, there was a pale white haired man in the back seat. His eyes were next thing to blank as they looked at him. Mischief settled him into the car and Maja couldn't even help but think at least someone had come for him.

Soon after he and Jia had been rescued, they went with Mischief and the others when they met Ravyn. The priest had invited them to come to his temple. He'd never heard of the small temple before but, they had all went. And they had all healed with Ravyn's and each other's help. They'd even learned how to help others.
After some time, one of Mischief's adoptive older brothers, Komi, had helped Maja and Jia change their names when they shed most of their old hurts. Maja became Majin, and Jia changed his to Jiaya.
They found love, Majin watching quietly and encouraging them on. Then to his surprise, he found his own love very nearly under his nose.
"Are you sad, Majin?" Rain had asked, and Majin's world had changed.
A quiet voice and that one simple question had led him to where he belonged.
