Chapter One: So normal...
Alice was so nervous starting her first day at her new high school Kingsly High. Standing by the window waiting for the bus she thought about how she could make her senior year of high school the best year of high school.
Sighing she caught sight of the big yellow bus rounding the corner of her street. Grabbing her books and supplies she quickly ran out the door yelling a quick good bye to her mother. Who was attending to her little five year old brother.
Big surprise when he came along. She jogged to the bus and when she went to step into the bus was hit with the sound of shouting and laughing. As soon as she climbed further into the bus all sound stopped. Alice looked up and noticed every eye on that bus was focused on her.
Pushing back a lock of hair she moved towards the nearest empty seat. Her foot steps sounding load and awakward on her journey. Finally she reached her seat and sat down next to a skinny messy haired boy who looked like he was no older then twelve.
Only after she sat down did the shouting and laughing continue. Looking down and trying not to make eye contact she remembered how she hadnt felt this alone since she left her old high school. Eyes going glossy she tuned out the noise as pictures appeared infront of her eyes.
She recently moved from the small home town of Valley Crest. Were everyone knew everyone and nothing is a secret. Which is why they had to move. Alice got involved with the hometown's star baseball player and thats when the secrets started and came out.
He would abuse Alice calling her names and sometimes hitting her for little to no reason.
You see Alice is a very pretty girl and her ex boyfriend was a very jealous boy. With her long black curly hair and large brown eyes she was a true beauty to behold. One day her boyfriend saw another boy talking to Alice and he thought she was cheating on him. He marched over and grabbed her arm tightly hurting poor Alice. He whispered in her ear threats of what he would do if she cheated on him.
She stood there and shivered as fear gripped her. Then as if nothing happened he pulled her into a hug and kissed her forehead. Still shocked over what happened she just nodded and put on a forced smile. Little did alice know that it would only get worse and it did. He would call her ugly names when they were alone. Saying she was a whore and a slut and then he would make her pleasure him.
She slwoly started dieing inside and didnt even know it. Her parents did though. They would ask themselves what is happening to their once very happy little girl. Before her smile could light up the night sky and now it had the power of a firefly. One day she came home with marks on her nack the shape of a had. When questioned she got fearful and made up excuses.
They kept pushing her until she broke down crying spilling every dirty secret. They were appalled at what was going on. Her mother tryed to comfort her as best as they could as her father called the cops. Soon the sheriff showed up and gather evidence. The next morning everyone in town was talking about it. Everyone would either look at her with pity or hatred. She didnt have a friend in the world. At school they left notes on her locker calling her an attention whore and dirty. The final straw was when she walked into the lunch room and a group of girls that use to be her friends started calling her names and then tey threw food at her. After the first lunch that was thrown it was like a rain of food on her as everyone else joined in. Her mind couldnt take the abuse anymore. It just shut down. She didnt really come too until two hours later when her parents got her home. They then decided they needed to move for their daughters well being.
She snapped back to the present when the bus jerked to a stop at the school. Taking a deep breath she climbed out of her seat grabbing her books and waiting for her turn to climb her way to the front of the bus. She could still feel eyes on the back of her head. A flash back of everyone laughing at her in the lunch room flashed threw her mind. She shook her head to clear it of that horrible day. As she walked towards the glass doors she whispered a quick wish that this year would be better. Wish that she could be normal. She walked towards the doors and pushed them open.
