Lies

Burning hearts, burning eyes,
Burning anger, all your lies,
Burning all my pain away,
Burn your eyes with light of day.
Tried to run, tried to see,
You stamped out who she tried to be,
Differences now set aside,
She hates you all because you lied.
Water runs red, tears flow,
Her hate for you will only grow,
My last chance to make you see,
I know this well because she’s me.
The girl I was has finally died,
She did so because you lied.
I can only hope she’ll rest in peace,
And all your lies will finally cease.
