This story is now beta, I want to thank Kylee for betaing this story for me. Kylee thank you! This was my first original fan fiction and it held a very special places in my heart and that is why I decided to rewrite this story. if you read the old one before then you will see that I changed it alot. Hope that you like the new version as well as the old one. And thank you for reading my story.

Chapter One:

Five years ago, his mother passed away. With her last breath, she called out for his uncle Royce who had disappeared twenty years ago when he was still a baby. After his mother died, his uncle’s friend Mara took him in. Why? Because he had no other living relatives. His Uncle Royce’s friend, Mara, took him in and helped him through thick and thin. But faith was cruel to him. On the day he graduated from high school, Mara died in a car accident on her way to his school. It had been two years already since that day.

The sound of his cell phone ringing brought Sakura out of his thoughts. He turned his eyes away from the window to apologize to the people next to him before answering the phone. He hesitated for a bit first before answering the call.

“Hello!”

beep, beep.

“Not again,” he muttered. This was the third time already today. Who ever it was, he wished that they would just leave him alone. Sakura leaned back against the chair and let out a sigh. Then he put his phone away. He got up and went to search for the book that he was there to get in the first place.

“It should be here. The book that I'm looking for.” Sakura mumbled to himself, biting on his bottom lip.

“Uh! found it!” Sakura exclaimed happily. He took the book out and flipped through it once. Then he proceeded to the checkout desk.

“Found what you were looking for, I presume,” said the librarian as she checked the book out before handing it back to him.

Sakura smiled. “Yes I did.” He took the book and left the library. He managed to catch the bus back to his university in time. As soon as he got on the bus, he made his way to the back and sat down to read his book. He was so into the book that he didn't notice the man that sat down next to him. Not until the man spoke to him.

“You love books boy?”

Sakura looked up from his book. “Yes I do,” he replied.

“Have you ever thought about wanting to live in a world like the book you read?” ask the man.

“To be honest with you sir, of course I did, but that would never happen.”

The man flash the boy a smile. “How about I show you a world that is way beyond your imagination? A world where people are not normal people? A world where anybody could marry anybody they wished? A world full of magic and spells that are so powerful, it would make you want to stay there forever? How about it boy?" the man asked just as the bus came to a stop.

“I will think about it.” Sakura replied, just to be polite.

The man just grinned and stood up. “I will see you later,” the man said. Then he got off the bus, leaving Sakura confused. ‘What a weird man,’ Sakura, thought, and leaned back against the seat. He set his book down on his lap and gazed out the window. His eyes caught a reflection of a book. He turned to his side and looked - that man forgot his book!
---------
It was half past seven when he arrived back at the university dorm. Sakura locked the door behind him and threw his backpack onto the bed. He grabbed a towel and headed to the shower room, where he took a nice hot shower. Once he got out of the shower, Sakura pulled out the book that the weird man left behind.

‘The Forbidden Book. What a strange title for a book,’ Sakura thought to himself, before opening the book to read what was written inside. Just as he flipped the book open, a bright light shot out of the book, scaring the heck out of him and causing him to drop the book to the floor.

“What is happening?”

The book rose up into the air as the light became brighter. Sakura raised his hand to shield his eyes from the light. At that very moment, a hand came out of the book and grabbed Sakura by the waist pulling him in. Sakura screamed but no sound came out. ‘What is going on? This can't be happening. Its impossible!’ That was his last thought as he was pulled inside. The room became quiet, the light flickered away and the room returned to normal. On the middle of the floor lay the forbidden book.

“When do I have to leave?”

“Tomorrow morning Kei. You have to make it there by tomorrow night to pick your bride to be up,” answered his mother.

“Then I shall leave tonight, just in case something comes up on the way there, and I wouldn't make it in time to fetch my bride.” said Kei.

“Good idea, and Kei, protect Sakura with your life. You don't want to wait another one hundred years for him again. Your uncle Kuron is already on the move. He won't waste anymore time.”

Kei stood up and went over to the window, he looked outside and saw his butler greeting a man. From afar he could tell that the man is someone from the higher up. He turned back to face his mother, “Don't worry, I will protect my bride. And my father will protect you, Mother."

Lady Athena nodded, proud of her son Kei. She stood up from her seat and walked over to the door. “When we meet again, you will be with your bride.” She said with a smile then left the room.

Seeing the look on his butler’s face Kei grin, he felt a bit sorry for his friend. He let out a chuckle and went over to them.

“It’s nice to see you again Raven. It’s not everyday we get the Lord of the other world paying us a visit,” he remarked.

"It’s nice to see you too Kei. I thought that I should visit you since I will be here for a while."

Kei turned to his butler, “Percy why don't you show Raven to his room.”

“It would give me great pleasure if you do Percy.”

Percy wanted more then anything to wipe the man’s grin of his face. But he had a duty to carry out as a butler. “If you put it that way my lord, then I guess it’s alright.”

“I promise to let you go once you have shown me to my room.”

Percy nodded his head reluctantly and led the man to the stairs.

Deep in the forest of Nadia.

“Yuu, do you understand the situation that we are in right now?”

“Yes I do, but that has nothing to do with what we are discussing right now.”

“You are to be married to Lord Kuron. There is nothing more to be said.”

“No there is. How can you let me marry that murderer? He killed mom and sister. Did you forget that fact, Father?”

“No I did not forget, Yuu, but you still must marry him. Tomorrow he will come for you. I want you ready for him.” With that said, his father left.

Yuu slumped down onto the cold floor. “Father how could you make me marry the man that murdered Mother and Sis? I hate you, I hate you!” Yuu buried his face in his hands and cried.

Nara could hear his son cry from outside the door. He leaned his back against the door and shut his eyes, “I'm sorry Yuu,” he whispered.

A knock on the door got his attention, he stood up straight and went to open the door. A man with brunet hair stood before him. The man took one look at Nara and wrapped his arms around him.

“Please don't be sad Nara. I know you love your son but we decided long ago that we will do what it takes to be together,” said the man.

Nara looked up at his secret lover for three years, “Gavin do you think that he will forgive me?”

“You are his father of course he will forgive you.”

Nara shook his head, “No, he will never forgive me. I know Yuu like the back of my hand.”

There was nothing else that Gavin could say to comfort the man he loved, so he did the only thing he could, and that was to hold the man in his arms tightly and whisper that everything was going to be alright.

Kuron was born gifted with powerful magic. No one dared to defy him. Whatever he wanted, he got. he had long black hair. He kept his face hidden behind a mask since the day after he turned thirteen. No one knew what he looked like now without the mask. No one dared to ask the man himself why he wore a mask. But they all had their own speculations as to what their lord looked like behind the mask.

The almighty Lord Kuron open the door with a wave of his hand. The man went straight to his seat and sat down with one leg over the other. “Gavin did your lover do as he was told?”

“Yes my lord,” answered Gavin with a bow.

Kuron removed the white gloves from his hand with his teeth and tossed them aside. He glanced down at Gavin. “What do you have to report to me, Gavin?”

"My lord, the bride to be for the next ruler of this land will be arriving soon.”

Kuron rested his back against his chair. "Find him and kill him. I want all of those who carry Phillip’s bloodline to be wiped out. Understood?”

Gavin nodded his head, “My lord aren't you part of Phillip’s bloodline as well?"

Kuron was out of his seat so quick that Gavin didn't even have time to blink. “I was never related to them by blood, don't you ever mention that part of my history again Gavin if you value your life.”

Gavin nodded his head, too frightened of his lord to say a word. Kuron let the man go and went back to his seat.

It was midnight when Kuron entered his bedchamber. He went over to the window and opened it. The night wind came rushing in bringing cold air into the warm room. He let his eyes wander to the two graves below him. He recalled that day clearly as if it happened yesterday. A cold smirk came on his face when he recalled the woman begging him to spare her life and the life of her children. Fools. What made her think that he would spare her and her children? Never. That stupid woman didn't even spare his brothers’ innocent lives. What made her think that he would spare her? He threw his head back and let out a laugh. He stopped and returned his gaze to his brothers’ grave once more. “I killed her and her daughter. Just her son is left now. I will make that son of hers experience the same thing you did my brothers. Then I will kill Phillip, the one who stood by and let you two die.”

----------------
Sakura woke up to the faint scent of flowers drifting in the air. He slowly opened his eyes, he saw flower petals floating in the air. Lots of them. The sky above him was clear blue. Sakura sat up and took in his surroundings. Where was he? Why was he here? What was this place?

“You're awake?” A deep, alluring voice asked from behind him.

Sakura spun around and came face to face with a man that looked like a prince from a fairy tale. “Who are you?” he asked.

“My name is Kei. There is no need for you to be afraid of me. I'm not going to hurt you.” Kei make sure to add that in his introduction. “What’s your name boy?” he asked, just to be polite.

“S-Sakura.”

Kei smiled gently at the frightened man. “Sakura is it? Would you mind telling me why you were floating in the river?”

“I don't remember. All I remember is that a hand came out of this book and pulled me inside. Next thing I knew, I opened my eyes and here I am talking to you, a man dressed in strange clothes, looking like a prince from a fairytale that I used to read when I was little.”

Kei laughed softly, “I assure you that I am not a prince like your fairytale. I am just a normal man.”

"Could you tell me where I am?" Sakura asked the handsome man.

Kei moved closer to his bride to be. “You are in the forbidden world and Sakura, I am your husband.”

Sakura’s eyes snapped wide open in shock. He backed away from the man a bit, “You’re jesting with me aren't you? Men can't get married. Please don't jest with me. I am not in the mood. I want to know where I am and what I should do to get home.” he remarked. Then, seeing how the man before him was still looking serious as hell, he begin to panic. “Please tell me that you’re jesting with me?”

Kei shook his head. “There is one thing you should know about me Sakura, and that is the fact that I don't joke.”

Sakura stood up on his feet and backed away from the handsome man. “You can't do this to me. You can't just blurt out something so outrageous and expect me to accept it. And even if it is the truth, I refuse to marry a man.”

“I'm afraid that you don't have much of a choice Sakura. Either you marry me or I will let you stay here and die. Let me tell you this first before you choose, your life is in danger, and the only one that can protect you is me. If you choose not to believe a word of what I just told you, feel free to wander off on your own and don’t be surprised if you find a sword or an arrow coming right at you.”

Kei didn't even wait for Sakura to make a choice. He turned around and pretended to walk away. He counted to ten and sure enough, he heard the boy running up to him. He grinned. Sakura didn't know why, but his gut feeling told him that the man was telling him the truth and before he knew it, he had already started running towards the man.

“ Look, I'll go with you because I don't have any other choice but I still don't want to be anybody’s bride. Put yourself in my shoes and see how difficult it is for me to accept the fact that I am your bride, out of the blue, when you are a man and I am a man as well. You need to give me some time to take all of this in and to adjust to your world first. So promise me that you won't do anything funny to me while we are together. Because I don't think I could fight you off if you try to do something to me without my permission.”

Kei moved in closer to Sakura. “I promise that I won't do anything funny to you while we are together, but once we are not it will be a whole different story Sakura, for I find you very attractive,” he said with a secretive smile.

Sakura sighed. It was better then nothing. He guessed he would just have to be on his guard with the man. Sakura looked up at the handsome man. “Can I ask where you intend to take me?” he asked.

“Home to my castle,” answered Kei.

“You live in a castle? Why are we going there ?”asked Sakura. Still, he couldn't believe his ears that the man lived in a castle. He wondered if he pinched himself hard enough, would he be able to wake up and say that all of this was a dream that he had from reading too many fairytales?

Kei gazed down at the boy, his smile still in place. “My parents are dying to meet my bride to be and my home will be your home as well once we are married Sakura.” He said the boy name in a way that sent shivers down the boy’s spine.

Sakura turned his eyes away. His heart almost jumped out of him when the handsome man took his hand and led him to his horse. He took one look at the horse and almost fainted.

Kei laugh and help the boy up. “That horse belongs to my father. He rode it a long time ago when he went to fetch my dad. He looks scary but trust me the horse is harmless," he whispered. The boy looked at him, a little doubtful about what he just said, but didn't make any comment about it. He laughed and lifted the boy on top of the horse. Once he got the boy settled nicely on top of his horse, he climbed on as well, and sat behind the boy. He took the reins and gave his horse an order. Soon they were on their way.
