Summary: I am bad at summaries, so you'll just have to read the story and find out. Sorry, but it's good, I promise!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the grand city of Kaishi, lived a large but happy population. An enormous city made for the life of finer things. Well it would be if the people's riches and treasures didn't always magically disappear. And the only person who could doing that is the notorious thief Kibatori, he’s a superior skilled a dark elf, so he is able to move quite quickly, and can handle a bow n' arrow perfectly.
"AHH! My necklace is gone," the mayor's wife cried, her lady in waiting was shocked, as for others around her.
"ARGGGG...my wallet!” yelled a man for the crowd. Oh sure it's not like this happens every day...yeah sorry to say it did.
A man in an overly large cloak staggering away from the crowd. Chuckling to himself turning the corner, he looked around to find on one paying attention to him, smiling underneath the cloak, he ran off. Back to his lair...I mean home. (Heheheh)
Once reaching his 'home', he suddenly lost a lot of weight, he check over his new 5 wallets hidden in his cloak pocket and on the floor a beautiful necklace which looked exactly like the same one that hung around the mayor's wife's neck only moments ago. The man took off the cloak, to reveal himself as Kibatori. He stood a good 6'2, very well built, strong arms and legs, for running and lifting. Covering his black eyes was a messy top of green hair, a couple of scars on his face, from battles before he even came to gold mine of a city Kaishi. His wardrobe was quite worn out and ratty, even with all the money he makes pawning off all the valuables he takes. A simple shirt with an over cover for the face, (just in case) and a furred butt flap.
"Another day, another group of easy pickings" he chuckled and smirked. He was good, no he was the best, the best thief this city has ever seen.
________________________Else Where, In City Hall
"That damn Elf! He needs to be stopped now!" yelled one of the citizens, every citizens of Kaishi has been robbed not once or twice by Kibatori but a dozen, it a surprised there’s anything left in their fine city. And when I say everyone I mean it. The crimes committed by this ex pirate, who before that was a former dark elf, didn’t stop at adult nope this guy, stealing candy from children just to see them cry is like one of the lowest a man can go. The citizens cried out in protest to stop this menace
"We could set a trap with a treasure for him to try to steal. Then when he comes, he’ll get caught in the trap" said one. Few citizens whispered and clapped or booed the idea.
"That won't work, he isn't that stupid" a few cheers were heard.
"Yeah besides, he’s way to fast for us to even see him" claps from a few others.
"We can at least try, you never know"
"Then it's settled, we set a trap for Kibatori" cried out one of the council members of the court. The head cloaked figure banged his gavel upon the wood desk in sign of approval. So that afternoon the townspeople of Kaishi set to work, building a trap that no thief could break out.
~~~~~Later

Just so, you know...their trapped worked, only problem was, it only worked on every other villain and thief in the city...except Kibatori. The Kaishi council guard squad checked every hoodlum, ruffian, thug, yobbo and hooligan. There was no sign of that sneaky wood elf anywhere. Speaking of Kibatori, he was watching the whole event unfold from the treetops, laughing till his sides hurt and tears of pure enjoyment was running down his face. It was the funniest thing he had ever seen.
He didn't know what to say, he was touched, they actually tried to do something about him, how sweet. Of course he was way too smart to fall for a simple thing like that. At least all hard work didn't go to total waste, now there was less competition for him. Grinning from ear to ear, he stood among the treetops to admire his gold mine, just ready for picking once again. But for now till another day.
Feeling soo good, Kibatori decided to take the main road back to his house, when he heard something. Suddenly on alert, shifting his hawk like eyes glancing around at his surroundings to pin point where the noise was coming from. Finding it was quite easy; it was something rustling in the buses near by. Smirking, he strolled over to the bush knowing there was nothing to fret about. It fact there were no people were around anywhere, those buffoons were all in the town square still searching for him. Therefore, the only other explanation is it's was a little animal, maybe a squirrel.
Leaning in closer, a being leaped out and tripped falling on top on Kibatori, making him land flat on his back. The stranger, blinked a couple times before realizing where he was and whom he was on top of.
"Ah...oh I'm soo sorry!" the young man wailed. Shaking his head, along with the wave of shiny sliver mass of hair. Kibatori was caught in a daze; the sun was very bright that day, so it didn’t help much when it made even this gawky imbecile look mildly attractive. It was then he realized he was blushing; he turned his head and put it off at just being hot from the afternoon rays.
"Uh...yeah...umm it was nothing," Kibatori said, using his shirts over cover to shield some of face from the young clumsy man. Kibatori pushed the young man off him, but when the sliver haired man looked up at Kibatori, the thief could hardly keep the blood from coming to his face again this time at full force, as the other young man has these amazing aqua blue eyes staring right at him. But the moment was ruined when a loud voice came out of no where.
"RYOKUSHO!” Both men jumped to their feet, Kibatori scattered, but as the blue eyed man got to his feet, a stone got under him and fell forward, with quick instincts, the silver haired man latching onto to elf who was trying to get away which he didn’t know about. But in the end it was nothing but a losing battle, and gravity had won again, causing them both to fall to the ground. And not a minute later a cloaked older gentlemen came into their view.
"Ryokusho! There you are, I'd been loo.. GASP!

"This court is called to order to the punishment to the notorious thief Kibatori... How do you pled" The head elder commanded.
"..." The prisoner stayed silent.
"Alrighty, if you have nothing to defend yourself,"
"And it's not like he needs it, every one knows he is at fault" said another
"I agree, I mean we don't even need to read his crimes, because I'm sure he knows those too." someone else agreed
If you haven't noticed, Kibatori has been finally caught and is now being brought to justice, as he deserves. (Kiba: Hey, don't I get a say in this and that last comment was cruel, I thought you cared about me. Me: Sorry nope, at least not now! Heh)
In the main square of the city, the court hall stood tall and proud among the streets of Kaishi. This is where all serious and most heinous crimes and cases are settled and oh, where Kibatori seems to find himself right now. Our bad dark elf Kibatori is chained up with all sorts of shackles and restrains. He graces the court with an emotionless look on his face, he awaited sentence. But what everyone didn’t know is but he was scared, scared shitless. "What's going to happen to me? Oh man I’m toast; it's all that kid's fault! He got me in this mess, Grrr next time I see him, ohhhh I'm gonna..."
"Kibatori, are you ready for you punishment..."
"..." too petrified to even talk at this part in time you see, only think running in his mind was "I’m dead, I’m dead, I’m dead"

BAM!

CRASH!

"Owwie!!" the whole room went silent; the door burst open and reveals a certain sliver hair, aqua blue eyed figure. It would seem he was coming to make a statement, and on the trip over he was running down the hall and full speed and practically not watching were he was going and simple enough he stumbled, only in end up crashing right into a vase near by, knocking it over causing it to it to smash into like a bazzion pieces, and making a big mess
"Heheheh, oops, sorry about that" was all the young man could reply. Everyone in the room sighed as they were use to this, except the one in chains. Kibatori had a very scary look in his eyes, one of eyes was twitching he sure was holding back a lot of anger, and all of it was directed towards that clumsy freak. But then Kibatori got another look at the brought hi m to his doom. The young man was not a pretty young exotic human boy like his first thought…he was…a dragon…a pretty ….soon to be dead dragon.
You heard me, a dragon. Not only did he have the long shiny silky sliver hair, and the aqua blue eyes, he also had cute almost pointy elf ears and a long snake like tail. "Funny, how come I never noticed these things when we first met?"
Through out all the silence after the dragon guy's entrance, the elders and other cloaked members discussed the situation over with deciding of a change of plan, evilly eyeing the two young men below, smiling gracefully as if they suddenly had a change of heart, and announced the decision to give out a new penalty to Kibatori.
When the dark elf heard this he was overjoyed. He couldn’t believe his ears…and his luck…it’s changed…good old luck always there for him when he’s in the deepest of trouble…
But not for long.
"Kibatori, this is your punishment you must do a good deed for every crime..."
"Damn I hate you luck…."
"Wait were not done yet, the second part is the real torture, while doing said deeds you must be accompanied by Kaishi city's guardian of the sacred temple, THERE NOW I'M DONE!"
"Is that all, ok so where is this guardian?.." all pointed to Ryokusho...who smiled at the attention he was getting, or maybe he too busy looking at how the light glistened through the glass pane windows and not listening to a single thing being said.
"No! No.....you can't be serious... Ahh I change my mind; I'll take whatever you had planned before. What was it? Exile, cleaning all the streets in the city with my tongue, I beg you, please anything but him..."
"Sorry, my boy but it's time for us to break for lunch. You’re all out of luck now Kibatori, our decision is final. Now you must leave us and Kaishi to seek out people in need. Don't forget to bring Ryokusho with you everywhere"
"Huh, I'm leaving with him...........YAY!”
The elders left the room leaving the two young men alone, Ryokusho with an even bigger grin on his face, leaving Kibatori with a sour one. Once the elf was unchained and set free, the duo left the building and headed for home to pack. Kibatori would say he was depressed with this new turn of events, but that would be an understatement to how he really feels. His life was ruined, he had to leave the greatest treasure to ever exist behind for what, to help others, Blah…why should he help anyone? But oh no that wasn’t the worst of it, because now trailing only a few steps behind him was the son of all disasters, forced to following him for the rest of eternity.
Or until one of them dies, which ever comes first....
_______________________________________________________

Miles away from Kaishi, the two young men walked in silence. (Kibatori or Tori for short, b/c I'm getting tired of writing it all. I know I'm lazy, same goes for Ryokusho, just Ryo) Tori was looking straight ahead no bothered by anything around them, while Ryo on the other hand was amazed by the outside world, you can guess he hasn't been out of the city for a very long time by how he sprinting around at everything down the tiniest detail. But Ryo just could keep still, he was soo excited, he wanted to know soo much, but his new companion was refusing to share, and sad to say Ryo was getting rather bored
Ryo was very curious to know about his new travel partner. I mean who wouldn’t be? It’s not ever day you meet a dark elf; they’re suppose to be a terribly private race. Rarely ever seen you know, at least compared to their distinguished relative species the common forest and wood elves. And with this unfriendly attitude he doesn’t see much conversation in the near future. Ryo just had to take this one step at a time.
"Sooo...I don't think I ever caught your name?"
"That's because I never gave it to you"
"Oh...well can you tell me anyway?"
"Tori..." he whispered.
"Huh, sorry I couldn't hear you" Ryo said walked faster to walk side by side, instead of trailing behind.
"I said my name is Kibatori,"
"Heh, well mine is Ryokusho, How old are you Kibatori?"
"Way older then you...and you shouldn't be soo friendly with me..."
"Huh and why is that, I love being friendly" Tori stopped in his tracked and wheeled himself around to face his partner, nor dead weight, yeah that’s more like it. Glaring right into dead weights eyes and glared intensely as if to burn a hole in his travel companion. No such luck, but thankfully ceasing his glaring for he almost got himself staring longing into those heavenly pools of pure happiness. So he just vent out by yelling, maybe just maybe he’ll get his point across this near minded, dimwitted pond scum.
"That's my point, you love too much and then because you love everything, things will just get worse. I am a thief, a crook, I rob and steal, and... If something or someone gets in my way or causes me to get caught, heads are going to roll...Got that!"
"Ohhhh, are we going to go bowling...."
Another failure…
"Eh...your one weird kid you know that, I mean how's a kid like you become the guardian of the sacred temple anyway huh."
"...."
"I heard the temple was robbed like 5 times a week, I'm surprised if there's anything left in there"
"...."
"Nothing to say, well how about that" Must of his a nerve…yes!
"You don't have to be soo mean about it, I try...sniff sniff"
"Huh, what's the matter with you?"
"Wel-ll it's j-just that, I was trying to be nice, seeing we'll spending all this time together, and hoping we could...WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” Ryo began to wail, crouched to the ground; the young man threw his head in his hands hiding his face from the world. A pool of tears became to surround him almost like a halo, uhh freaky…
"AHHH! Hey! Wait a minute, what are...why are you crying...I didn't...GRRR" Kibatori was speechless; he didn't know what to do.
And from out of the blue, the pair of clouds appeared out of no where suddenly starting to gather together. Getting darker and darker, a small amount of rain clouds hovered directly over his head, and just like that a huge flood of water came falling right on top of him. Drenched to the bone like a drowned cat Kibatori was shocked and confused...well how would you feel if something like that happen to you. With the rain clouds completing its task, it dissipated as if it was never there in the first place. The soaked elf, glared at the sky, but then heard a small snort and a giggle from beside him. He sharply turned his head toward his traveling nuisance; the dragon boy was no longer cry but laughing, at him. Who could blame him really, it was a pretty funny sight to be seen, Tori did look hilarious. Evilly glaring, Ryo shut up immediately.
After that pleasantry, not for Tori's part the two set out again for the next town in search of deeds to be done.
"How that happen anyway? Did you have anything to do with this?" Tori pointed to the sky, glaring angrily directly at the young dragon man, but got no response except a
'Maybe...'

~~~~~~
"Tori?"
"..."
"Tooooorrrrriiii"
"...." 'I'm ignoring you, I'm ignoring you Lalalalalalalaala'
"Kibatori!"
"WHAT!”
"I'm bored...when are we in the next city?"
"We'll get there when I say we get there!"
"But what about all those small towns why couldn't we stop there?"
"Because..."
"Cause why?”
"Just because!"
"..."
"Your not going to cry again are you?"
"N-n-no" sniff-sniff
Oh no not again, I'm not getting wet for the second time today
"...."
"ALRIGHT, alright...we'll stop in the next city, ok with you?" he turned his back to the dragon boy but glanced over his shoulder, you know just to be sure we wasn't going to be flooded or drowned. Today luck seems to be on his side for once since this whole trip started because the younger of the two was smiling to full content....
"Glad you find this amusing"
"I- I’m just glad you going to start being serious about this!"
"Huh about what?"
"Eh... your punishment, you know to right wrongs and do good deeds...remember?"
"Hmm...Yeah right"
"Uh...what's that suppose to mean?"
"Ok I'm only going to explain this once. I don't do good deeds, I live to do badly, and that’s how I survive. Now they said I had to take you with me, and I've done that, so..."
"Are you saying that's your going to abandon your task, and continue your sinful rein of thievery?" Ryo asked for the first time they’ve known each other looking quite cross with the dark elf...
"Wow, I do believe that the most intelligent thing I've heard say all day, thanks for the suggestion"
"Ehh...er...w-wait...No t-that's not what I m-me-meant"
"Oop...too late for that, my trusty companion"
"Grrrr...Why you" Ryo said then thought to himself 'What can I do to get him to see the error of his ways? Oh that would be hopeless...but still I got to try'
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The two finally reached the next town, it was a small town. When I say small I mean really small, this town only had two intersections. Mostly farmland, a small inn and one general store, you know that kind that did everything to doctor, undertaker, to postman, plus the fireman team. Yeah a lot of good they could do here.
“Well everything looks good here…no need to stop I say…lets go” Tori decided
“Wait…you said we’d stop in the next town and…” Ryo tried to protest
“You know I wouldn’t really call this speck of land a town” the dark elf debated
“But you said!” the young dragon began to whine
“Oh stop your bellyaching, I’m sick of it!”
The next moment felt like it went in low motion. People gathered around the commotion of the fighting duo, then everything became silence for the main event.

SMACK!

Ryo flew to the ground from the blow, shock graced his face, and his right cheek slowly began to swell. Tori towered above the smaller man, rage filled him and he didn’t care who saw him. Once he took a deep breath he brought he anger level down a few notches, he noticed the audience the two received, but with a quick death glare toward the crowd they split like ocean allowing Tori to walk away like nothing happened.
Meanwhile Ryo still haven’t moved from where he had fallen. Townspeople took there eyes away from the fleeing angry figure instead turning the gaze on the once stone figure. Now was gently touching his face to review the damage. The crowd watch in awe and sympathy for the young man’s eyes were in microsecond’s now flowing puddles on tears.
Regret filled the townspeople of the town: small village with no name. (A/N: that’s the actually name of this town, why? because I was just too lazy) Several people to the courage to approach the now wailing young man, in hope to comfort him and end to tears before all drowned. One middle aged woman had taken the plunge and got close enough to place a hand on his shoulder, the youth retracted from the woman’s warm touch. Ryo jumped to his feet and bolted away from the kind people and just ran…
The people looked as the youth just bolted away from them, sorrow and more regret hung over them. They asked themselves:
Why didn’t they do something?
___

Tori had found the inn; he thought might as well cool off before going back on the road. He kept thinking back toward the last moment just now, why did he leash out at the runt. He didn’t even know, it’s just the guy was just pushing his buttons over and over, he needing to something or he would have gone mad. Sure he did unnecessary things to get what he wanted, but resulting to violence isn’t one of them. Did he regret it…maybe…like I said he didn’t know he just let his emotions out all at once and this was what happened, there was no going back now.
“Ahh I’m sure the kid’s fine, he’s hurt himself soo many times. That probably was nothing to him.”
___

Ryo hasn’t run this much in his entire life, and he’s been living a long time. He thought about stopping sometime ago, his legs were starting to ache. But that strike to his face hurt a lot, not because it made him get a bruise, but because it hurt his heart. He and Kibatori were getting along sort of, and with a little more time, they could have become friends. But he could tell, that man didn’t want him around, no body did, all he was to everyone was a pain, Back in the temple and even back home where his family was, a pest and burden, and waste of life energy.
With that thought Ryo stopped, finally taking his surrounding he realized where...or where he not. For as far as he could see was nothing but trees, scary trees that drape over you like as if they were coming to snatch you away never to be seen again…

“Ahh I’m lost” sounds of chokes and sobs whispered in the woods nothingness.
