Skeleton in the Closet
Listen closely to me
I'll say this right now for you
I know my loyalty for you
Is incoherent with your faith
I know you want my surrender
My love and my life are yours
If you ever feel the need
Take it out of your pocket
I'll stand still for your aim
And you can pull the trigger
Down and down I'll fall
But then you'll know I'm here for you
A skeleton in the closet
Is something you can always keep close
A corpse doesn't leave you
A mummy does not betray you
I'll be the undead in the dead of night
So that you will always have me with you
If I get away from you, will you come
And hunt me down with that gun
Will you use it on anyone that tries
To save me, take me away from you
Is your love so cruel that you'll kill
Anyone in your twisted path
If you want my heart completely
You'll have to remove it entirely
I may fight back, so be warned
Scars may fade, but last eternally
If you succeed and I can't come back
Could you live with that guilt in the closet
