A New Beginning

Robert Randall McKagan anxiously paced the waiting room of Logan Pacific hospital awaiting news on his wife who was about to deliver their first child. They were supposed to be on vacation away from the rigors of their careers. Veronica a self-made publisher and computer programmer and Robert the reins of ThunderStar Enterprses, a company that dabbled in everything from computers, publishing, music, fashion, production and secretly, a special crime fighting agency. The three original Patriarchs of the families, Harold Buchannon, William Knight, and Charles McKagan had joined forces back in the late eighteen hundreds and built the company that would gain world wide popularity before the first year was even complete. As the years progressed, the family company became world renowned, taking on computers and the other franchise along with it. Now here he was, awaiting news on the well being of his wife and child. Veronica was the youngest daughter of William Buchannon and the niece of Royce Knight, two of the latest in the family line. Robert was the eldest son of John McKagan. John's arrival startled Robert out of his thoughts.
"You do not need to worry so much my boy." John said, "Ronni is a strong woman, she and your son will be fine, you have to have faith in that. God is not going to let anything bad happen to them if he can help it." "You do not understand though, dad." Robert protested, "This child was not due to make his arrival for another month. I am worried about this."
"You have to remember Son," John replied, "God does not give us what he thinks we can not handle. If we can not handle it, He will not put it on us to carry it."
"Excuse me, Mr. McKagan." Dr. Wesley announced, "You have a beautiful baby girl and a handsome baby boy. Both mother and children are doing fine."
Not waiting for permission to go in and see his family, Robert took off in a mad dash for the room appointed for his wife and children. Veronica's brother Roger was already there holding the baby girl, while Veronica cuddled the baby boy. Veronica smiled when she saw Robert standing in the doorway.
"Come and say hello to your son and daughter, my love." Veronica whispered, "I do not think that they will bite you this early in their lives."
"Well now, is that not something." John said, "There has not been a set of twins in three generations. Now what did I tell you Rob? God has blessed you and Ronni double instead of single and you were worried they would not survive."
Robert and John chuckled at Veronica's obvious attempt at humor. At nineteen years of age, Veronica Rene Buchannon had travelled the world abroad eventually settling down in the small town of Milan in Italy. Despite the fact that she and Robert were of Irish and Norwegian descent, she caught on to the Italian culture, articulation, and history. Robert remembered when he first met Veronica her freshman year of high school and his junior year. She was a slim and wild beauty with a slender form that was willowy and strong. She had fine hips and shapely thighs. There was a strong soft brown color in her beautiful eyes. Her thick dark hair hung in long graceful curves over her shoulders. To Robert, it was love at first sight. Veronica was admiring the man who had been the love of her life for the last four years. He stood there, devilishly handsome, with soft sea foam green eyes that seemed to sparkle when he smiled. His hands were beautiful, long fingered, and strong. He had long sinewy legs and was ruggedly handsome, with smooth chiseled features, his lips were firm and sensual. Roger handed his the baby girl who stared at him with her light green eyes.
"She is the first born. He followed fifteen minutes later." Veronica said, "It looks as though your brother was only half right in his predictions. Dad is right, God has doubly blessed us by giving us a son and a daughter."
"I heard that, Veronica Buchannon." A new voice intoned.
The trio looked up and in walked Freyos in his human form of Andrew McKagan. His long brown hair was showing some signs of gray, but it was pulled back and held by a ponytail holder. He walked up beside Veronica and kissed her cheek while smiling inside about the children.
"You knew that they would come today, Andrew." Veronica said, "Can you ever forgive me for doubting you and your God given gifts of predictions?"
"Do not worry about it, Ronni." Andrew replied, "Both children will come a long way before they reach the age of thirty."
"I am glad that you have so much faith in their future." Veronica concluded.
Robert noticed a strange birthmark on the front of the baby girl's right shoulder, two lightning bolts crossed with what looked like a large sledge hammer. "I have seen this lightning bolts and hammer symbol before." Robert said.
He handed the baby girl to Andrew who was suddenly hit by some sort of power wave. Images began to flash through his mind. A strong warrior woman dressed in two different suits, finding love before twenty, then the images disappeared.
"She will face much trauma in her life, but she will find salvation as well." Andrew announced, "She has been chosen by Thor for a very special destiny."
"Thor and the other Asgardians were merely a group of myths and legends." Veronica said, "My parents used to tell me and my siblings the stories of Thor Thunderis and his adventures before and after the Galaxian Alliance."
"That is not entirely accurate, Ronnie." Roger said, "Many of the myths and legends we were told over the years were all based on facts even the legends of the Norwegian warriors."
"Guard her well, Robert." his brother warned, "Your daughter is in serious danger until she reaches the age of discovery."
"What are we going to name them?" Veronica asked, "These two are going to need names in order for us to be able to tell them apart."
"Jamison Logan McKagan for our daughter, and Randall James McKagan for our son." Robert offered.
Andrew turned away smiling. Fate had dealt a very good hand for the McKagan family this day. A new legend was about to be born, a legend who, like her thunder and lightning wielding father, would change the world both as Knight Thunder and Jade Taylor. Meanwhile on the other side of the world, a young boy sat with his uncle on the veranda of the family villa. The young boy looked to be about five, with dark hair and crystalline sky blue eyes. His uncle spoke to him in the family's native Italian.
"A girl child has been born this night." he said, "She is very special and she is the other half of your heart and soul. The eternal soul mate everyone has been known to look for."
"But how am I to know her, Uncle Geno?" the boy asked, "She could be anyone in this vast world, so how will I know who she is?"
"Your heart will recognize her Remi." Geno replied, "And hers will know you. Many barriers will try and keep you apart, but you must always keep the faith that your love for each other will see you through. She is your future just as you are hers."
Genos got up and went inside the house while his nephew remained outside thinking about what his uncle had said. He wondered if the other half of his heart, as Genos had called her, would be anything like the girl who haunted his dreams. The dreams he had seemed to be set years ago in the past and he wondered, not for the first time, if he had been born in the wrong part of the time line, or if he had been reincarnated and these dreams were actually memories of a past life. He sighed heavily as his father came out to join him.
"Tristan, it is awful late for you to be outside." Daryien Llewellyn said, "Your brother ans sister went to bed hours ago. You seem troubled, my son. Is there something on your mind that you would like to discuss with me? I am all ears."
"No, actually my love, you always were, you always have been and you always will be all big mouth." his wife Seidre teased, "Now Daryien be reasonable, maybe his parents are the last people our son would want to confide in."
"I am not so sure that I should say anything, Dad." Tristan said, "You probably would not believe me, and I am afraid you would think what I have to say would be stupid."
Tristan got up and began to walk away from the house. Daryien and Seidre exchanged glances seemingly thinking the same thing to each other and then followed to catch up to their eldest son before they lost sight of him. They found him by the coral feeding his stallion Sun Raider a juicy carrot.
"Tristan, you know that you and your siblings can confide in me and your father, and your uncle about that which lies heavy on your heart and mind. Do not keep your thoughts hidden, my son, we might be able to help you work it out as well as find a solution." she said.
"Alright, for as long as I can truly remember, I have been having these dreams." Tristan explained, "These dreams are set, I guess you could say many centuries in the past and I am there as well as you and everyone else in our family including Uncle Genos. Only he is not my Uncle in that time as he is here, he is my grandfather."
"Your grandfather? Well how on earth did that manage to happen?" his father asked, "That could not have been unless Genos was your grandfather in a past life. It kind of makes me wonder if there is such a thing as reincarnation or something similar to it."
"I believe that we evolve from one lifetime into another." Tristan said, I guess I never really thought about it until I started having these I guess those recurring dreams. The thing of it is, those dreams feel more like memories instead of just dreams. I feel like I was there in that time. I mean, they seem so real I just can not explain it."
"The dreams will pass in time, my son." his father said, "Maybe you should have asked your uncle about these dreams, he is much better at interpreting them than I am. Anyway you need to get to bed pretty soon, you and your siblings have a long day tomorrow. I will not have you shirking your responsibilities because of a set of dreams that are set so far in the past. Now off with you."
"Yes, Father good night." Tristan replied, "Good night Mother, I love you two."
Tristan went back inside and up to his room to get ready for bed, but the dreams he spoke of continued to cloud his thoughts. Seidre and Daryien followed a short time later to search for Geno. He knew more than he was letting on and he needed to know what was going on. They found him in the study deep in thought.
"I know why you and Seidre are here, Daryien." Geno said, "Tristan has told you of the dreams he has been having about the past. He is starting to remember everything that happened. It is not time for us to tell him of our family secret where our past is concerned. I know he is the same age we were when we learned the truth. However, Once Reimeiko is revealed, so will the truth be. We must let them discover each other and the truth for themselves and then only then will their future together will be secure."
