A Moment in the Life of...
“Ko.” Shadou murmured, watching his little lover. The smaller man was just about bouncing, looking at him from the other end of the bed. He was talking adamantly, rambling on about something or another that he really didn’t understand. He had just gotten home so he wasn’t sure what was going on. It had seemed as soon as he had lain down, Ko had been there all excited over something that had happened while he was gone.
“Ko.” He tried again, sighing when the other man totally ignored him again, just continuing to rattle on. Shadou just watched him for a few more moments before he pushed himself up, suddenly grabbing Ko and pulling him back against his body, trying to hold him still. He wasn’t one for random touches or comforting words but… in the last few months he had spent with Ko, he could help but touch him every chance he had, especially now. “You need to calm down, little one, you shouldn’t be bouncing in your condition, now what are you trying to tell me?”
Ko looked a little confused for a few moments before his hand went to his stomach, another excited noise coming from his throat as he wiggled on Shadou’s lap. “Sorry, little baby.” He said, just watching his rapidly growing stomach. He had only been pregnant a couple months but it was already so precious to him. “I won’t do it again.” He murmured, patting his stomach. “Anyway!” He said, bouncing again without even thinking about it, quickly stopped by Shadou’s hands. “Fala had his baby!” He said, looking all excited. “We were all just sitting them and it was like, boom!” He giggled a bit at that, petting his own stomach. “His little baby is so cute and tiny and, and…”
“I can see you’re excited.” Shadou murmured, shifting them so that they were lying on the bed. “Very excited if all the bouncing you’re doing is any inclination.” He said, his hand sliding up to play with Ko’s delicately rounded stomach. “But I just got home from a hunt and am worn out.” He murmured, the shadows indicative of his name slowly climbing up his hand and onto the others stomach. They were his power, his strength and defense. They also allowed him to easily transfer power from himself into the smaller man. He knew having a child was taxing on Ko, especially have his child who did everything it could to drain the mothers energy dry. “How about we take a nap then I’ll take you to see him?” He asked, already drifting off as he laid there, his hand splayed protectively over the small medic’s stomach.
“Ok.” Ko said softly, automatically calming when he felt Shadou wrapped around him, his power coiling easily through his stomach. “Let’s take a nap.” He laid there, looking contemplative as the other man fell asleep beside him. “I love you, Shadou.” He said softly, leaning up to press a kiss against his lovers lips. It was something he would never tell him when he was awake but here, in the silence of sleep, he could tell him without hesitance. It was just another one of those moments in their lives.

Ahhha, I couldn’t think today and me and Nat did this awesomely cute scene with Ko and Shadou to the other day so, I decided to just write a small moment of their lives. They are just so adorable.
Well, this was just to make me feel better but I thought I would share it!
