1—Scarlet’s Hobby
Often Jamie wondered what Scarlet’s hobby was.
He usually had his weapons clean, especially Navalm; so Jamie concluded that polishing and cleaning his weapons was his hobby.
He was wrong; that was proved by a fairly amount of gruffly sound Scarlet made during his task of polishing weapons.
Scarlet was often seen reading books or newspaper during his guarding shift; so Jamie concluded that reading was his hobby.
Once more he was wrong; for Scarlet was also often seen yawning during his reading session.
So what was Scarlet’s hobby? Jamie was curious.
Taking his curiosity no more, Jamie finally gave up and went to Arthur to ask for some answers.
The captain’s answer was surely surprising.
Scarlet’s hobby was staring at his own picture when he was still eight, posing side by side with Vermillion. He was definitely fond of the picture for he could spend minutes just staring at it without uttering any word.
After that, Jamie concluded two more things from his bodyguard that was certain of: Scarlet was surely one freaking of brother-complex for his own good... and kind of a narcissist too…
2—Love
Back then when Arthur was still in his post at PHANTOM HQ and still partnering with the First Division’s Commander, Vermillion himself, he often wondered how he could fall into this ‘miserable’ fate of being partnered with certain crimson lord.
He absentmindedly asked Vermillion about this particular matter one day, just joking around, and absolutely he didn’t suppose when his vampire partner and superior answered his question seriously and without any hint of humorous tone he usually had in every sentence he emitted.
“I intentionally picked you as my partner because you are cute and lovely and adorable; and I truly fall for you.”
Arthur was practically gawking… and instantly fainted for good.
3—What If… (Part 1)
What if…Vermillion didn’t truly die and he confessed everything about his relationship with Scarlet by his own mouth?
Sure, Scarlet would be happy and everything would be fine afterward…right?
No; at least for certain captain.
Vermillion would surely snap at him for being deserter of his own troop and drag him back to his previous seat as his vice-commander and partner… that was Arthur sometimes recalled as his ‘worst’ days ever on his life.
And the crimson lord definitely didn’t care about that.
4—Cruelty
Vermillion was a vicious mentor when it came to training session.
Both Arthur and Scarlet were absolutely sure about that.
They sometimes recalled the days whenever Vermillion scolding and taunting them during their training session. Seldom had he even hit them when they did mistakes.
He was also vicious fighter and assassin on the battleground. Their enemies were warned for flee-in-sight whenever crossing paths with him. His reputation as ‘Crimson Death Angel’ was so infamous, making him being respected and feared by most of his enemies and comrades also.
But the cruelest part of the crimson lord wasn’t resided on his reputation or his harsh demeanor. It was lying on his sense of humor.
Confused?
It was logical to think about; if Vermillion was vicious and cruel during his serious times, he would surely vicious and cruel during his humorous times.
Still confused?
Well, let’s take one example: read the second part of this drabbles.
