Fight for a Family

“Have you two thought about it yet?” Silke asked, his hand moving over his rounded stomach as he watched the two men curled up together on his rather large chaise lounge. He had never thought it would be like this when he first had them meet but… that was one of life’s simple pleasures, wasn’t it? Not knowing what would happen… Faust and Ryoushi had gotten together… they had healed that empty part inside of themselves and were happily in love now. But Silke knew… he knew they were wanting something even if they wouldn’t admit it. They wanted what him and Akio had…

A family… a baby.

Ryoushi sighed softly, rubbing his hand over his own stomach as he laid back against Faust. “Yeah… we have.” He murmured, leaning up to give his white haired lover a soft kiss before he spoke again. “We talked to the medics… asking if it was possible.” He said, his eyes closing as he shrugged. “He said there was too much damage from the attack… unless we can find a really good healer… it just won’t happen.”

Faust looked a bit upset at that also but he just held Ryoushi close, nuzzling softly against his ear. “Shh baby, I told you we’d find someone… we won’t give up on this.” The words were only meant for Ryoushi’s ears. They weren’t meant to carry over to where Silke and Akio could hear them. He knew his lover loved to come here… he loved to see the other two men but every time they came here… he just sank further into depression about it. He wouldn’t stop him from coming here but… he tried to make the trips as infrequent as often. He didn’t like upsetting Ryoushi, especially not in his condition. It wasn’t only his stomach that was messed up… he had received a lot of injuries during the hunt that had gone wrong. The two injuries that had hurt him the worse though… a punctured lung and a bruise on his heart made it the hardest on him. Before they could even think about having a baby, they would have to fix that… they could barely have sex now with out Ryoushi breaking down into a coughing fit.

Silke made a soft noise at that, rubbing his stomach again as the baby kicked almost uncomfortably. “Have you thought about going to visit Komi?” He shook his head a bit at the confused looks he got from the other two men, looking up at his own lover with an exasperated sigh. “Komi… he’s a healer from the temple.” He murmured, speaking between the gentle kisses that Akio gave him, trying to stop himself from being distracted by the soft embraces. He even had to stop them, chuckling when Akio pouted at him. “Later, luv…” He murmured before looking back over at Ryoushi and Faust. “He could probably fix it. His lover… he came in pretty beat up with drugs in his system… a bad stab wound in his stomach…” He hummed as he watched Faust and Ryoushi, swallowing as he nervously rubbed his stomach. “And pregnant…”

“Pregnant?” Ryoushi whispered, looking down at his stomach. “Ohhh, that poor boy.” He murmured softly, sniffling a bit as he thought about it. “Losing a baby…”

“I never said he lost it.” Silke said, smiling at Faust and Ryoushi’s shocked faces. “His baby is fine… as is he. Komi saved them both… he had a little help but he saved them both.” He said, smiling again when he cuddled back against Akio. “That’s why I think you should go to him… I’m sure he could make it so that you could get pregnant.”

Ryoushi made a soft noise as he looked up at Silke, his hand clenching in his shirt. “You think he could… really?” He asked, licking his lips a bit as he watched Silke with wide eyes. He made a hopeful noise at the nod, sniffling a bit as he looked up at Faust, pouting cutely in that way that he knew his lover couldn’t resist.

Faust didn’t resist it either, just nodding as he looked down at Ryoushi. “Of course, we’ll go to him.”

“Tsk, ya shouldn’t of let it get this bad.”

Ryoushi was lying back against Faust, his shirt taken off so that the healer in front of him could have easier access. He swallowed nervously at the words, looking down at the hands on his body. They had easily found Komi… and Komi had just as easily found out what was wrong with him. He wasn’t focused on his stomach though… which confused Ryoushi. No, Komi’s hand was settled over his heart. “It… it’s bad?” He asked, sniffling a bit as he held onto Faust.

Komi just nodded, sighing as he pressed his hand against Ryoushi’s chest. “The bruise has spread.” He said, sliding his hand down just a bit. “Even if I fix your stomach… your heart would never hold out long enough for ya to have a baby.” He murmured, looking up at Ryoushi with sad eyes. “I’m sorry.”

Ryoushi whined at that before he suddenly twisted, pressing against Faust’s chest as he broke down crying. The tears triggered another coughing fit, something that had been happening regularly since his lung had been punctured.

Faust just held Ryoushi, rocking him softly as he looked up at Komi, his own eyes glittering with tears. “Never… we can’t ever have a baby?” He asked, his hands gripping a bit harder at Ryoushi when Komi nodded, his expression grim. “There’s nothing you can do.” He saw the hesitance, his brow furrowing as he looked at Komi. “Anything, just tell us.”

“Just one thing…”

“You can’t go through with it, Ryou! The risks are too great!” Faust yelled, grabbing his fuming lover and pulling him to his chest securely, his eyes flashing. “I’m not going to stand by and let you get hurt any worse!”

“So we’re never going to have a baby?!” Ryoushi yelled right back, pushing against Faust again and looking up with watery eyes. “Don’t you want a family with me?!” He asked, a few tears spilling over as he gasped in front of Faust.

“Don’t you remember what happened?” Faust asked, shaking Ryoushi a bit as he looked down at him. “You almost died. We can’t risk your life again!”

Ryoushi winced a bit at the words but he couldn’t help but think back on just what had happened to him… just what had happened to his partner to get him this bad…

“Run, Ryou! Just fucking run!” The words came out between gasping coughs, blood staining the ground each time Ryoushi’s partner yelled and coughed. He was already critically injured, his chest torn open and at least one of his lungs punctured by his broken ribs.

“No! I won’t leave you Ake!” Ryoushi yelled, running as quickly as he could towards his fallen partner, his steps only faltering when the black shadow that they had been fighting… been trying to fight suddenly appeared in front of him once again. “I won’t let you die!” He cried out, screaming in pain when he was thrown back by the shadow, tumbling head over heels before landing hard on the ground. His breath caught in his throat as he lunged to his side, coughing up thick blood, his breathing getting even harder. He pushed himself up, stumbling towards Ake once again, trying to reach him with sheer determination.

“No, Ryou!” Ake yelled, crying out when he was suddenly hit again, his body skidding across the ground. “We don’t even know what we’re fighting! Fucking run!” He cried out again, his eyes widening when he suddenly saw the formless shadow above him again, his eyes widening even more in fear as the… thing above him suddenly brought down its ‘arm’ again, sending slicing pain through his already mangled chest.

Ryoushi cried out as he looked over at Ake, his eyes widening when he heard the anguished scream his partner let out before going suddenly still and silent. “No…” He whispered, trying to push himself up, his eyes widening again as the shadows converged on his partner’s lifeless body. “Ake!” He screamed, his entire body trembling as he watched the shadows literally rip Ake apart, feeling like his heart was being ripped apart with him. “Ake!” He yelled again, tears streaming down his cheek before he suddenly gasped, his eyes widening as the shadow appeared in front of him, moving so much faster then him or Ake ever could. “No…” He gasped out as he watched the shadow move in front of him, dripping with blood now. He felt a hard, heavy pain against his chest before he his vision blacked, an image of his now dead partner the last thing he saw…

“Ryoushi!”

Ryoushi gasped when he was shook harshly by his lover, his tear filled eyes looking up at Faust. “Faust…” He whispered before pretty much collapsing against him, pained tears streaming down his cheeks again. “Ake…” He murmured, sniffling as he pressed against the other man. “Please…”

Faust felt his own heart clench as he held his smaller lover, sitting him down and pulling him into his arms soothingly. “Shh, Ryou.” He murmured, pressing soft kisses against his tear stained cheeks. “I’m sorry… I shouldn’t have made you think of that.” He whispered, rocking him softly, holding him through the shattering tears.

Ryoushi looked up, still gasping as he watched his lover. “I just… I want more with you… please…” He whispered, holding onto Faust’s shirt, his entire body trembling. “Just… think about it.” He murmured, rubbing his chest a bit.

Faust made a soft noise but nodded, pressing a soft kiss against Ryoushi’s lips. “I promise…” He murmured, running his hands through the others hair with a sigh. “I’ll think about it…”

“Thank you… thank you so much Faust.”

And, from that day forward, their seemingly futile battle to have their own family began.

BUT! This does spin off from an rp, that is why you see me using some characters that are not mine in it. I DO have permission to use them though!
