Fallen Petal

ALT Title: Akio Background

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Where is he?! We can see him right?!” Akio was panicking, his mind running a mile a minute. He had just been informed that his partner, Kahen, had been taken down in a barrage of gun fire earlier that day. He had ran to the hospital as fast as he could, using the sirens in an entirely unlawful way to speed through the streets of the sleepy town. He was still panting harshly, his rust red hair drenched from rain, his deep brown eyes wide as he looked around. “Why the hell aren’t you saying anything, where is Kahen?!”
“Calm down, Akio.” Trevor’s calm voice filtered through the panic in the room as he reached forward, his hand landing heavily on Akio’s shoulder. “Sit down.” The blonde murmured, pushing the almost hyperventilating detective into one of the uncomfortable chairs the hospital provided. He kneeled in front of him after that, looking up at him with a soft sigh, a sad look in his green eyes. “I’m sorry Akio.” He said softly, patting the other mans knee as he swallowed softly.
Akio’s eyes widened, a soft, unbelieving sound coming from his throat as he looked at Trevor, his entire body starting to tremble. “What the hell are you trying to tell me, Trev?” He asked, his breath catching in his throat as his hands shook slightly. “Just spit it out!” He cried out, his hands gripping hard at Trevor’s shoulders and shaking slightly, taking his frustration out on the elder man.
“They killed him Akio…he’s dead.” The words brought a hush to the whole room; it was the first time the words had been spoken out loud. Everyone knew that it had happened…they had all been there when it happened but they had never thought to say it out loud. “He was shot…three times.” Trevor continued, feeling his own chest clench when he saw absolute despair cloud Akio’s eyes, tears marring the normally happy surface. “He was hit in the chest…twice.” He whispered, looking down and swallowing. “They did everything they could…I’m sorry.”
Akio’s eyes were wide, a soft sound of despair coming from his throat as he looked around the room, taking in the sad faces of all the cops in the room. “No…it can’t be…” He whispered, his eyes closing as tears started streaming down his cheeks. “He can’t be…” He broke down when he was pulled into Trevor’s arms, sobs ripping from his throat. His Kahen…his partner…more then his partner…his lover…his mate…his everything…
“Dead…”
Akio was the last one left standing in front of the fresh grave, his eyes were dry now but he could still feel the deep, painful squeeze in his heart from the loss of his lover. He sank to his knee’s, a whine coming from his throat as he reached forward, his fingers tracing the name freshly carved on the granite stone. “Kahen…” He whispered, his body shuddering as fresh tears started to spill from his eyes, his hand pressing flat against the stone as he cried over Kahen’s grave. “Never again…I love you so much…” He murmured, looking up with watering but determined eyes. “Never again…I will never let someone so important to me down again…I will never fail someone like this again.”
“Akio! Wake up Akio!” Silke was looking a bit panicked, his hands shaking as he tried to shake the bigger man awake. He had never seen the red head like this, he had never seen him cry and now he was sobbing in his sleep. He had felt him cry, he had felt Akio’s tears, his head buried in his neck and the warm liquid trickle down his neck…but Akio had never let him see him cry. Well…it wasn’t actually seeing since Silke was blind but Akio had never cried so openly in front of him.
Akio jerked awake, a slightly shocked noise coming from his throat as he suddenly moved, pushing the other man in his bed to his back without a conscious thought. It took him a while to figure out where he was…when he was. Five years…it had been five years since that fateful day, since the most important man in his life died. “I’m sorry Silke…are you ok?” He asked, looking down at the light red haired man under him, his hands sliding along his sides. Kahen had been the most important person in his life then…but now…his important person was lying right below him. It had taken almost four years for him to open himself up to another relationship…but he had and now he had Silke, he had love. “I…I didn’t hurt you, did I?”
Silke just shook his head, reaching up to brush the tears from Akio’s cheeks. “No, I’m fine.” He murmured, leaning up to kiss him, easily finding his lips even without being able to see. He sighed softly when he felt Akio’s hand smooth over his slightly rounded stomach, the sensation of being protected permeating his body. “It’s ok, we’re fine.” He murmured, pressing another soft kiss against Akio’s lips.
Akio sighed softly, sliding down to press soft kisses against Silke’s exposed stomach as he thought, nuzzling the precious bump softly. “I’m sorry Silke.” He murmured, still touching his lover softly as he calmed down from the gut wrenching dream.
Silke just shook his head, looking down at Akio with a soft smile. “It’s ok, luv.” He said, relaxing back into the bed as Akio continued to press soft, tender kisses against his stomach. “Was it a nightmare?”
“No…” Akio said, sliding back up to press another gentle kiss against Silke’s lips. “Memories…” That was the last word that was spoken as Akio curled protectively around Silke’s body, pulling him into the warm embrace of his arms so that they could drift off to sleep again. He would protect this man…he would protect the family they had made, even if he had to give his own life for it, he would do it gladly. A soft sigh came from his throat as he let his eyes close. He couldn’t stop the image of Kahen from filtering through his mind again though, the image of the last time he had seem him, tears hidden beneath his eyes as helooked over the death image constantly imprinted on his mind. He wouldn’t fail Silke…he wouldn’t let him die like he had let Kahen die. He couldn’t help but think he could have been there…he could have stopped it, even if he couldn’t he could of taken the bullets for the smaller man...He shook his head at that, leaning down to kiss Silke softly, he wouldn’t let this man die. He wouldn’t let that happen…One more, single tear streamed down his cheek, the image in his head brightening before fading away again…just like Kahen had…just like a fallen petal.
AN: Ok, this is just a bit of background on my character Akio. I don’t have a lot to say about it…
I saw the tree outside my house this morning and the petals were falling off of it and POOF, plot bunny. Well, suffice to say, I went to take a piccy then wrote this up.
So, the thumbnail is MINE, I took the picture (of the tree in MY front yard, isn’t it gorgeous?) and edited it with Razerwing, we had fun making it look all sad *smiles* I hosted it here
God…I think it’s just so pretty, I loves my tree.
Ok, this is another story about mine and Nat’s RP chars, Akio and Silke just went through some rigorous (don’t let them lie, they enjoyed it) work to get Silke preggy so I thought this would be cute to write. He’s only like a month preggy here, just barely showing, it’s so cute!
Trevor, Akio and Kahen are mine.
Silke is Nat’s.
Well, I hope you guys enjoy, thank you for reading and don’t forget to feed the author!
(just to be clear, this is NOT a collab, me and Nat did NOT rp this, I just wrote a story using the chars)
