Indigo Prophecy

At the beginning of time, the world was ruled personally by the gods themselves. High God Kanose and his siblings were, for the most part, benevolent rulers with the exception of the Chaos Queen Chaola. As her title rightfully suggests, Chaola reveled in Chaos, in inciting wars. She constantly sought power and skillfully devised ways to keep her siblings from even noticing.

Eventually attention became inevitable, for her power began to resonate so fiercely that even the Dream God Hakun, who’s Dream Realm rested solely in human minds, could feel it. Fights broke out over redundant things. Murders, thievery, deadly fights, and other rare but harmful acts began to escalate to a point where High God Kanose had no choice but to interfere. He pulled the Council of Gods together and after a fight that lasted ten years, managed to imprison her in supposedly impenetrable crystal, hiding the only key to her freedom among the human race. To maximize the security they chose a band of elite mages to watch over Chaola, to which they deemed the name the Melody Syndicate.

Despite the existence of the key, Kanose’s prison seemed absolute with the aid of the Melody Syndicate. But over time after the gods relinquished their reign to a handful of violet eyed chosen kings and queens, knowledge of the key surfaced among the human population. It came in the form of a divination, later titled the Indigo Prophecy, by the well known prophet Fabre, the chosen son of Uinose, the Keeper of peace and time. Over time though, the prophecy became just another legend to most. But to Chaolan-cult followers, it became the very thing their faith was based on.

The prophecy let on that the key to Chaola’s freedom and destruction lie within a violet eyed descendent of the ancient chosen Kings and Queens magic. A powerful magic that would fully awaken when the chosen mage reached the age of twenty.

Once the prophecy’s words spread throughout the world, the long standing, yet silent war between the Melody Syndicate and Chaolan followers began. However, as time is a major denominator in all forgotten things, the war all but disappeared. The Chaolan followers became a simple religion and the Melody Syndicate was reduced to a band of talented pirates with alternative goals.

Fast forward to the semi-present when a war erupted between three empires in vie for a large expanse of land in the middle of the ocean. The Austentarian War, as it would come to be called, was a long and bloody clash that lasted for an entire year. Eventually the kingdom of Austentaria won, by the sheer force of will. They took over the great expanse of land entitled Cambin, despite the fact that they lost just as much lives as their two enemies.

The bloodiest battle of the war was over an island adjacent to Cambin, named Keuka. It was an explosive battle from the beginning, cannon shells exploded overhead, rocks became projectile and the wild life erupted into flames. Days later as the battle died down and dead were retrieved, a cave uncovered by the explosions was discovered by a group of looting pirates who were using the chaos of battle to work undisturbed. A quick look around confirmed what myths and legends had been proclaiming years and centuries ahead of their time. The cave held a massive crystal-like structure that had what seemed to be an incredibly beautiful woman inside. It was quickly decided to be the imprisoned Goddess.

With the prison unearthed and rumors flying around about several purple-eyed boys the forgotten war erupted back with a vengeance. That is where this story starts. The tale of a young nobleman desperately trying to resist is fate while simultaneously getting thrown into a strange world way outside the homely comforts he has always known. And a group of uncouth pirates fighting to keep the world safe on their own terms.
