prologue
For over a hundred years we have been call the greats the best the strongest for over a hundred years we have been call the elite but all that ends now as I lay here dieing my blood pooling around me and my friends perish around me one by one there powers exhausted to the limit there body’s ripped and torn just like mine by our mysterious foe our weapons lay useless not even having the energy to pick ourselves up much less a sword or hammer or any of the others the battle was over and I knew it as the others died there power comes to me the leader the last survivor of us but even then it wasn’t much just enough to do one last thing as our assailant comes to hover above me “now all of your gifts will be mine” and raised his blade above his head he paused and I looked him in his eyes those cold eyes “any last words mage” summoning the last of my strength I smiled “yea see you in hell magus relest emporos” the last thought that went though my head as my spell took effect was I hope that fate chooses someone better than us and with that the mages last resort destroyed everything for a two mile radius and released the gifts to be passed on
At that same time seven friends sat up with a start with a voice from there dreams still ringing in there ears a single message to them all “the new chapter begins awaken my chosen few”
