Forlorn Sky Academy
Prologue
”Suberu! Hey Suberu! Get up or we’ll be late!!” an older woman in her mid-thirties yelled up the stairs. The mentioned blonde covered his head with a pillow, drowning out the yelling. His mother started up the stairs, still yelling the blonde’s name. She banged on the door until she heard him getting out of bed. “Finally, hurry up and get down here so we can eat before we leave.” Suberu climbed out of bed and grabbed a black t-shirt and jeans. He grabbed the last of his bags and went down stairs. Today was the ‘big day’. Suberu was going to an academy instead of a normal high school. He sat his bags down by the door and sat down at the huge dining room table. His mother brought in their breakfast and he quickly devoured it. He picked up his bags and beat his mom to the car. It was a 2005 Trail Blazer that was black and silver. Soon his mother exited the house, locking the door behind her. She got in the car and they soon were on their way towards Forlorn Sky Academy. It was a 2-½ hour drive to the academy and in no way was it pleasant. His mother insisted on listening to old country CDs. By the time they arrived, Suberu was grateful to be at school. Some people came and got his stuff and took them to his dorm room while he went to get his schedule. His mom left as soon as they were done unloading.
