2136 A.D.
People have known for centuries that one day the earth would run out of resources. Billions upon billions of research grants were used to find a way to stop it. In the end it was all wasted money, the waste had gone on for to long and there was no stopping it, the earth was dieing.
So in a final solution the human race left.
Scattered across what started as several planets and space colonies, and slowly started to grow across the universe. There was a lesson to be learned, from what happened to earth, but sadly over the years very few humans had taken it to heart, they spanned across the universe like a disease leaving dead and dying planets in its wake.
The human race was by fare not the only race that lived in this galaxy, let alone the universe. They made contact with meny forms of new animal life and several other intelligent races, even farther advanced then humans.
Most of the races tolerated the human race, so-long as they stayed out of their systems, very few liked them. Some even showed outright hostility firing without warning when encountering a human vechile. Not to be outdone, these incidents lead to several wars.
Meanwhile, during this era of discovery and progress and during the wars. Earth lay forgotten in her little corner of the universe, not yet dead but crippled beyond repair. During the mass evacuations not every soul made it onto the ships. Some countries to poor, some people that just lived to far away from a launch area, and as always, those to stubborn to leave.
Earth however was no longer the loving mother she once was. Her soil is barren, growing food that is of poor quality and in meny cases deadly. Her seas held few fish, and those that still lived were more likely to catch the fisherman then the other way around. The skies once a beautiful blue now a muddy brown with dirty orange clouds and a deep red sun. The animals that once roamed her land peacefully, now consumed and killed anything they could find, to stave of the starvation.
Yet the human raced survived.
But the situations had pushed those that had been left behind, they were different then the ones who left. Eventually they were classified as a sub race, E-Humans. Humans of earth. These humans were slimmer and faster, built for running, they tended to have a six sense, knowing what was a danger and what was OK. But above all else they survived. They shifted and adapted quickly to anything that was thrown at them, in meny studies this was linked to there sixth sense.
Though these people have been forgotten and left to themselves, they have not forgotten there cousins, and meny strive to join them. Though the majority frowns upon it the youth of these people have a habit of trying to scrap together enough resources to leave there dieing planet, in hope of finding something better.
The sky was a lighter shade of brown today, only a few wisps of yellow-orange clouds floated across it. The sun was just coming up over the horizon, adding its deep red glow to the mix when a tall person left there walled village into the early morning. He had dusty blond hair, pulled to the back of his neck in a messy tail. Piercing green eyes skimmed the area around him, a habit, that had saved his life meny times. His skin was well tanned and for the most part smooth aside from scars that adorned his hands and arms, and a few very old ones around his neck.
His name was Christian Enith.
He was a seventeen year-old Ehuman, he had spent his entire life living in the small village that was fading into the distance behind him. Parents dead, he was raised by a woman who was a good friend of theirs and had a son close to his age. She had died to, a few years ago. Death was something that happened often in this world, you never spent long morning.
The Village was a good size village, most Ehumans stuck to small settlements, so they could provide for themselves about two hundred people lived in this village. It was named Geanode. It was a relatively new village, built only fifty years ago.
Christian Liked his little village. True he got along with very few of the other villagers, and his only family was his older adoptive brother Andrew, and that most of the time he was complaining that it was a rundown waste of resources. But still he liked it. He liked his little Item shop that He and Andrew ran together, he liked fixing things, something he did more often then selling it seemed. But most of all he liked the old ruins.
The ruins are all of what remained of a time long forgotten, before there cousins fled there dieing planet. They were beautiful, tall skeletal remains of building that had been pulled apart, for there resources, leaving just the frames, Smaller skeletons littered the wide streets, cars, some had been pulled apart some had been left to die.
It was beautiful.
This is were he came to find broken things, things people would call trash, and he wold fix them. If he was lucky he would find special things, things he had been keeping and hiding for a long time. Because he was building something.
Well to be truthful he was finishing something.
Twelve years ago his parents died. They had been smart people, spending lots of time in the ruins, looking for books and papers, learning. During there searching they had found a set of blueprints.
Blueprints for a spaceship.
So taking these instructions, they and a few trusted friends started to work on it. They horded and stole resources, neglected there lives and nearly finished it. Then they were found out.
One of there friends, who helped them steal what was needed, ratted them out. Theft was a very serious crime, everyone who participated was sentenced to death, including the man who sold them out.
Everyone asides from Christian and his foster mother and brother. Mrs. Eleen Kandii, was not a very smart woman, but she was kind and loving enough to make up for her shortcomings. She even held no grudge against the people that sentenced her husband to death along with Christians family. But she was smart enough to know when to lie. She kept and hid the blueprints and the location of the half built ship until Christian and Andrew were old enough. One of the last things she did before she died was show them were the ship was, saying "You boys are smart like your fathers, you can finish what was started. But I hope you'll be smarter then the people who worked on it before you, don't steal from the village, If you can't build it with things you find out here in the ruins then give it up. I watched my friends and husband hang, I will not watch my sons!"
And she wouldn't get the chance, she was killed by wolves a few short weeks after that. Christian and Andrew vowed to get off of this hateful world.
So now two years later they were almost done. They had opened a shop selling and fixing things to earn money to buy what they could not find. When ever either of them had a spare moment they went out into the ruins to work on there ship, meny times until it was to late to risk the trip back to the village.
That was why Christian had a rucksack slung over his back, it had everything he would need if he ended up staying out for a day or two. Andrew would come latter, after closing but before sunset, with a similar set up.
They had refused to steal from there village, but that didn't stop them from doing what there parents did and putting every spare moment into the ship.
The boy who was walking to the ruins picked up his stride. A grin split across his face, Today. Today or tomorrow would be the day that they finished. Tomorrow was a holiday the shop would be closed, After tomorrow they would sell everything, to buy supplies. Then they would leave this hateful world, to sail there ship Eleen across the galaxy and the universe if they needed.
Today must be destined to be a good day. Christian decided braking into a jog, he could feel in his bones. It made him hopeful. A feeling not often felt on this baron world.
I'm sorry but this is going to be a very long story, I will post when I can and I am also sorry my spelling and grammer sucks balls.
