Introduction

Big glimmering eyes peered though long messy pitch black bangs into the eyes of his brother. Beautiful emerald eyes sparkled, he sat crouched, unmoving, his elbows resting on his knees, his hands dangling loosely from his wrists. His pale feet were bare, and beneath them was grass, ever so soft, while above him a sun's rays warmed the earth, as soft puffy clouds drifted over yonder. He peered into his brother's eyes for a long moment before his piercing voice broke the serene song of birds' melody on a summer day.

This boy's brother, with his long well-managed white locks falling over his shoulders, looked to his brother with apathetic light pastel green eyes, "Idzi, what do you want?"

Idzi cocked his head, his black hair shifting messily with his head, he smiled, his cheeks dipping in to form dimples, as his cherubic face intently turned to the sky. "The sun is high in the sky, and the day is warm."

Iver glared at him, "So it is. Is that all you wanted to say?"

"Yes, why?" he asked, the sun glistening off his eyes.

"Because if so, you are a moron." His brother said, lying back against the grass, closing his eyes lazily.

Idzi glanced at him and laid against the grass beside him, "Do you think people actually go to heaven after they die?" he asked, after a few moments of silence.

"No." Iver answered briefly.

"Well, why not?" Idzi asked, a hint of disappointment in his voice.

Iver sighed, "Because all humans are moronic, and even if there was a heaven, no one would make it there, because everyone loves sinning even if they don't realize it. If there is a heaven, there is also a hell, and I guarantee you that is where everyone goes after death..."

Idzi turned his head to face his brother, "Do you honestly believe that?" he questioned.

"Yes." Iver answered, nonchalantly.

"So... humans are incapable of being saintly... pure and innocent..." Idzi summed up.

"Not just humans, but all living things with a mind of their own." Iver replied.

"So... am... I going to burn in hell?" Idzi asked sorrowfully.

"This situation is hypothetical of course, so hypothetically yes. But I don't believe in heaven or hell... You will die and rot in the ground..." Iver explained to his brother.

"Really?" Idzi's voice cracked, as tears built behind his eyes.

Iver's brilliant pale green eyes opened, and he turned to see his brother, as tears dripped onto the blades of grass, "That's just what I believe, feel free to think otherwise." he replied, in his best attempt to be comforting.

"So there is a heaven, and people can go there?" Idzi questioned again.

"If that's what you believe." Iver answered.

"That cloud looks like a hermit crab." Idzi commented, as he was now looking back up at the clear blue skies.

"If you say so..." Iver huffed out a final sigh, and yawned. He felt a presence close to him, as his younger brother embraced him, and he smiled only the slightest bit, wrapping an arm around his brother as his breath evened out and sure enough the boy was sleeping.
