Introducing...

Jake - tall, well built, grey-eyed, with long black hair falling down his shoulders, his voice rough and oh so soothing at the same time, moving down the corridors of the old college building graciously, nodding to the people he knew – which was about anybody of his year and a bunch of people from other faculties – smiling politely and self-confidently when he passed a group of chattering girls with observing eyes locked to his statue, was the guy any girl would have usually died for.

Shane – well-muscled, reddish flaming hair framing his perfectly smooth face, green eyes of a mesmerising nature holding anybody’s gaze, grinning to the girls who were waving to him, walking down the steps in a relaxed manner, manoeuvring his well clad body through the crowds of students, was the guy any girl would have killed for.

What else did the two have in common? Many things.
Their beauty.
Their height.
Their basketball team of which Jake was the captain, while Shane was the vice.
Their faculty – both studied English Literatures and Linguistics.
Their history – they had attended the same high school.
Their popularity.
And finally: their insatiable desire for each other.

Everyone knew Jake. Everyone knew Shane.

Everybody knew that they shouldn’t mess with Jake. And if they messed with Shane, this would take them back to messing with Jake which was, as stated, not the best thing to do.

Everybody respected Jake and even feared him. Authority emanated from him. He was the best leader the basketball team had had for years. Everybody loved Shane, knew he would be there for them, the buddy you could depend on.
Everybody knew Jake and Shane were room mates and best friends. What they didn’t know was a) that the two handsome students had the wildest sex on campus b) that dominance does not always as expected come from the strongest personalities…

They didn’t know when it had started. It had already become a given fact. An unspoken agreement, renewed by their actions, in private, renewed by glances and touches and simple phrases. To the outside, they were best buddies. Nobody wondered when they disappeared together for a longer time.

“We need to discuss the strategy for the next season,” that was one of the excuses.
“Helping to catch up with homework,” was another.
“We want to talk about some stuff,” was the simplest and the most effective.
Privacy was granted. And used. Explicitly.

One of the two beds was always neglected during the night, naked sweaty bodies clutching to each other, caresses and sloppy kisses exchanged, light moans being the music of those moments. And the next morning when the left the room – all of this was forgotten until their gazes met again, be it during lesson, at lunchtime or at the field. Which was the worst. But it was manageable.

Until one of them wanted more.
