The Forever Circle
The Forever Circle
The brown of the earth,
The gray of the stone,
It is all so final.
What do I do now?
I look out the window to the hill,
Where you used to stand.
All I see is the willow,
And that so final stone.
I want to cry, but can't.
I want to scream and rant,
but must be strong.
What do I do,
now that you've gone where I can't follow?
I live as you would want me to.
Take a day at a time,
And try not to think of not seeing your smile,
Or hearing your laugh ever again.
I hear a noise from the next room and smile.
You have not left me completely.
She has your eyes and hair,
This little piece you left behind.
