Betrayed
Cloaked in a web of lustful betrayal
Broken memories of icy aquamarine eyes
Your whispering vows of forever
Echoed within me
Tortured my now silent ears
Hungry hands held
onto my faerytale dreams
That you so ruthlessly shattered
So I sat in a desolate garden
Among ruinous statues smiling at me
So pitifully
Among twisted overgrown trees…
Guardians of torn hearts
Under a canopy of wild summer blossoms
And felt moonlit tears
Like a haunting melody
The darkness called
Like the love you promised me
Oh how I believed
I was such a fool you see
Oh how I remember that starry midnight
Came upon me so swiftly
Velvet lips sang of passion’s song onto me
Lava escaped from bursting veins
Flowed through me
I drowned in a sea of fire…
Sea of illusions
Burned in your selfish desire
Till I realized…

So I rose from the shadowy ashes

From a cold black empty abyss

Warmth enveloped me
