What I Want
I'm not expecting anything really - I don't write poetry so I know this isn't amazing, but I like it.
I want to stay up all night
To read a book, be able to forget
Be told I’m beautiful, and know that you're right
I want to have a secret
To reach my potential
To know, without a doubt
And have no regret
I want to lie in long grass
To look up at the stars
And not let life pass
I want to defy,
To take a chance
I want to be reckless
I want to dance
I want to leap
To scream
To fly
To sing
To laugh
To dream
To love
To live in ecstasy
To be free
I want to stay up all night
To read a book, be able to forget
