Mihangel (Untitled)

It was too easy... the thought ran through the back of his head, but he couldn't stop running. She didn't change her easy pace, or look around. She just continued to walk down the dark and empty street in no hurry. Mihangel strained against the compulsion running through his veins. He knew something was wrong, but there was nothing he could do to stop himself. His body hesitated for only a moment, as he watched the girl turn the corner into a dark alley.

No....No! Something is wrong! He strained and pulled against following her but he crept silently around the corner of the wall, melting into the shadows.

He was surprised to feel himself stop, and drop into a crouch. The alley was empty. Mihangel hissed at the empty alley, and his eyes darted around the dark space, easily seeing into the corners.

“Has anyone ever told you that your name is a little bit ironic?” Mihangel turned instantly and and lunged at the girl behind him. With a shudder he was flat against the wall at the end of the alley, blinking in surprise as the girl walked toward him.

“Mihangel....do you know what our problem is here?” She stood in front of him calmly, staring into his eyes.

His body hissed and snarled, but Mihangel was screaming, Just kill me, if it will release me from this beast! He struggled to gain control of his body, and failed. He just stared at the girl through his dead eyes, willing her to run.

“Don't worry, I'm not going to run Mihangel.” she smiled slightly. “I was sent here for you...and I never leave without what I came for.”

A keening noise escaped Mihangel's body. Vampires who were sent for disappeared, they were never seen again. Mihangel struggled harder to regain control of his body. No! This isn't me...help...

“Oh Mihangel, we know that. I'm not who you think I am...” she took a step closer and raised a hand, placing it lightly on his stone cold cheek. A snarl escaped Mihangel's lips and his fangs closed around the place where the mystery girl's hand was only an instant before. A frown creased her brow. “It's worse than we thought.”

Mihangel had never wished for control of his body more than in that moment.

“Sleep now Mihangel...everything will be okay.” His eyes fluttered, and right before he slipped into unconsciousness he thought he saw two gigantic black forms behind his angel, but he had no time to warn her.

The stranger took a few steps back, another figure stepped out from behind her and gather Mihangel up, throwing the man over his shoulder like a rag doll.

“Come Maddox, lets get back.”
