The Manor: Poem # 2

Shimmering white blinds me.
I am in a garden of
Blue.
Tangled paradise, unkempt roses
and Thorns.
Thorns dripping moonlight like
silvery Blood.
No one should be here, but he is.
He hands me a bloody rose,
stars in his eyes, and says,
“The others have gone; I know not where.”
The grey sea lashes the cliff.
I want to go to it, but the
Thorns hold me back.
“There is more to do,” they tell me,
their voices cold and clear.
“There is more to do before you go.”
