To Twist and Crinkle Sheets
Across the bed, the coverlet is pulled tight
over creaseless sheets. Meticulously set
pillows are carefully stacked ‘til just right.
The bed is painstakingly made for our duet,
though all of this matters little on this night.
After he breezes unrestrained through the door,
our amorous kiss will heighten our carnal cravings
for the consummation of our passionate ardor.
Soon, we eagerly lower our intimate beings
onto bed linens analogous to the blue yonder.
Beneath our sensuously entangled bodies,
the unwrinkled sheets will twist and crinkle,
but I draw his irresistible face closer. Then, he’s
pulling my hedonistic body toward him. Bestial
lust sparkles in his verdant eyes. He's such a tease.
One hand tightly holds the small of my back;
another firmly cups a breast. I relish the textures
of clothing as he pulls it from my body as if in attack.
He tempts me with grazing, wandering fingers.
His tantalizing touch raises goose bumps. For payback,
I arch against him, nibbling him. Claiming him my victim.
With ravenous and eyes, his voracious gaze drips
across my curvaceous shape—across my amble bosom
down to my narrowing waist which flairs to voluptuous hips—
Supremely aroused, his tumescent phallus offers no ransom,
As like an animal, he haphazardly forces pillows off of the bedding
as he lays me down with finesse. Gently now, his lips caress
mine as he wills me to cease my incessant carnal baiting.
With care, he settles between my shapely legs. His express
wish is realized as with a vigorous thrust our love is just beginning.

Author's Notes: This my first time deliberately using a rhyme scheme in at least four years, so I am particularly curious about how the rhyming aspect comes across to the reader. Of course, I am also curious about any other insights into my poem.
