Paper Dragon
It's just a silly poem I made while working on an art project in a class of mine.
Paper Dragon
Little paper dragon,
With no eyes yet to see,
Confide in me dear dragon,
Who truly will you be?
Will you have a thinker's brain,
A warrior's strength, a poets heart?
Will you be an angel,
Or a sinner from the start?
Will you speak in birds' sweet tones,
Or feathered serpents' cries?
Will from your lips fall untrue words?
Will you speak in truth or lies?
Will you eyes show fear and anger,
Cowardice and fright?
Will they show the secret sins,
And shadows of the night?
Will your wings be devils' black,
Or winged Seraphs' angle white?
Will from your heart pour cruel dark,
Or warmth and love and light?
Will you run and play- a child,
Or stand ans stare- a spy?
Will at a kings proud throne you rest,
Or at his feet you die?
A thinker or an angel,
A warrior or sprite,
A seer or wizened age,
Or demon of the night.
Dear sweet paper dragon,
I ask of thee once more,
Tell to me the secrets,
Of long forgotten lore.
