Negasis- Chapter 8

AN: This is probly the best and longest chapter in the story. This one was also not written by me, but by my best friend and co-creator of this story. He's always been a much better writer than I'll ever be and Ive always loved this chapter most of all in the story...

---------------------

Once again the distant sun sets in a murky sky over the castle known as Negasis. Two figures stand in a battle stance over the two tallest towers of the castle. The two angelic figures prepare themselves, drawing their swords. One form greets the other with disgust in his pure white eyes while the others gaze back with the darkest of dark blue. The fight began with a strike of violet lightening filling the air. The figures leap from tower to tower. Blinded with anger, the angel releases an onslaught of attacking sword swipes onto the waiting darkling. Laughter fills the dreary sky as the darkest form takes flight, toying with the enraged holy one.

Bacardie: They’re at it again, my lady.

Three figures lay amongst cushions and the remains of a glorious feast. A soft sigh comes from the crimson lips of the red haired queen. She’s stands, adjusting her royal drapes and looking to the others. The boy lies on his back, sprawled over a pillow, eating the remains of roasted chicken, upon further examination…a carrot can be found in his right nostril, the aqua haired boy only giggles,

Nate: I betcha I can shoot this twenty feet, Aura…

Aura: Twenty feet if you don’t sneeze first, freak-o.

Nate: Shut up.

Rini: No, both of you.

Seeing where this is heading, the Queen stops the two immediately. She speaks with heavy heart from her throne room window, watching the fierce battle the flying beings take part in.

Rini: This is just awful. Raylin seems furious; they’ll have each other’s heads if I don’t stop them.

Aura: Well that’s what happens when you let in strays.
Aura walked up next to Rini and watched out the window along side her.

Nate: Yeah, strays are—wait…

He looked enraged at the comment, realizing that most of his friends, and himself were mere strangers to the Mistress of the dark castle.

Nate: No, I think it’s the freaks she should avoid.

Aura: Exactly. Freak-o.

The Blonde giggled and hugs her friend

Aura: Rini…it’ll be okay. Raylin gets like this often…he loves you. He will calm down.

Rini: No, I’ve never seen him this angry.

Nate: Except for when that puppy dated your puppy. And when that puppy married your puppy, and when you tried to get him to try on your dress.

Aura: Which both of us would of done with no problem.

The two spoke, listing times when Raylin’s anger seemed to blind him from all reason. But the queen knew they were wrong, they did not know him like she did. She knew what he was truly like. They were never present when he expressed his emotions to her. No one ever saw how deeply he just wanted her happy. No one would ever understand him like she did.

Aura sighs and grasps Rini’s hand, cupping it into hers. She can only look to her friend with remorse, knowing she does not understand, she turns away, walking down the long hall to the door.

Aura: I will get you something to drink, sweetie. It will be okay.

With that, she was gone, slipping through the door, taking one last gaze at the broken hearted queen, before she shuts the door, leaving the boy to comfort his queen. Nate stands, wrapping his arms around Darklight, giggling softly.

Nate: Come on lovely, it’s not like they hate each other…um…too much. Maybe just dislike strongly.

Rini had her eyes focused on the ceiling above, listening to the clashing of swords, a gust of wind from the partially open door dancing along the curtains and around Lady Darklight. She bites her lip, and hugs the long curtain to her body, the tears flowing down her cheek. How could this happen. She cared so much for Raylin. But she was not his…she did not want that. He did not want that. He…did not want that, did he?

Nate adjusted himself in the mirror. He turned to look at his queen. A beautiful image of torment fell upon his eyes: Red velvet flowing around, grasping the tormented form of the elegant mistress. He had been with her for so long. Nate knew all of Rini’s pains…It was his personal duty to make her happy, no matter what that meant. But this was a lost task; he did not see how he could stop Rini’s pain.

Another clash of the swords meets a strike of lightening. Nate’s senses return to him. He yelled out his queen’s name as he jumped forward, tackling the distraught queen moments before a massive forms crashes threw the window, landing on the floor in a rumbled mess of glass.

Raylin: Bloody Hell! Bastard won’t get away with that.

Before the angel had time to even acknowledge the other’s existence he was dashing out of the window, sword first. His wings expanding as he dives through the window, plummeting down in a swirl before turning around, once again charging full force the demon in the cloudy sky. Rain hits his battled beaten face as he pants heavily, he screams out his battle cry—

And it started again. A seemingly endless battle in the sky of a darkened world. In her friend’s arms, Lady Darklight looked in horror at the pieces of glass across the stone floor, showing a fade reflection of her. Had she really turned herself to such a way? Tears covering her once emotionalist face; she was once a violent, maniacal leader. She killed and tortured others for fun. Now, running eyeliner and rosy cheeks should other wise. Awakening her from her thoughts was the sound of a glass shattering on the floor. Her gaze rose to a shattered tea cup adding to the mess on her floor. Her eyes continue to rise, now meeting the angered look of Aura. She shook with rage, her blonde locks covering her eyes.

Aura: They’ve gone too far. Breaking into here, putting you in danger.

She spoke with rage while her arm reaches back and withdraws her massive blade.

Aura: No one has that right, no one.

A scream was released as massive bat wings ripped out her shoulder blades with only a slight amount of blood dripping down her back. She too charged the window, disappearing behind the dancing curtains.

Nate: Madness.

A calmer boy speaks. He seems to have matured in the eyes as he too lets wings form from his back, not so much ripping but expanding from the shoulder blades.

Nate: Rini, We will stop this. Do not worry. I promise they won’t do this anymore.

He went to the window and stood on the frame, turning back to his queen who had found her self to her throne.

Gone. They were all outside, being soaked by the sky’s tears. It is as if the heavens and hells knew her feelings. Her secret… Nate and Aura loved her, but did not realize why Raylin was fighting the newest visitor to the dark domain. She could hardly believe it…

The throne room was cold now, wind continued to make the cloth in the room dance. The only light was coming from the crashes of lightening and sparks from swords forming outside. She could see from her shadows the four figures outside. Aura had her sword against Raylin’s neck, yelling in his ear. Even from this distance, Rini could see Raylin was shaking with anger, but refraining from striking a female. Nate took a less hands on approach, talking with the dark angel. The dark figure flapped his wings lightly, perhaps he was smiling…having fun. That is how he always was…Tane…

Tane...He was a charmer. The first day he came to Negasis…everything was turned upside down. He was there for Raylin. His leaders were worried that the angel was corrupting the dark queen by his presence in her life. So his mission was easy. Kill the holy one. Sure, he could have taken other paths to get the same goal, but, well, killing just seemed easier. But that is not how it happened. Raylin was not there when Tane arrived. Only the queen…days began to pass, weeks, then a month. One month to the day from when they met. That is when it happened. Raylin had returned. He returned to meet the evil ones in embrace. Lip locked. She tried to explain that there was nothing wrong. That Tane loved her and was not tricking her to get to Raylin…he was not like that. But the two angelic men could only say one thing.

“I’m going to kill you.”

They said those words with such hatred and truth, like knives cutting into the poor queen’s heart. She died a little more inside as they began to fight for the first time that day. For the first time she saw two men who’s hearts were sworn to her clashing swords in order to…perhaps, prove their devotion? It was so absurd to prove their love. She had to throw the idea out…didn’t she?

She contemplated the idea…that perhaps they were fighting with rage not out of alignment, but out of jealousy. How could that be though? Raylin was not one she could be in love with and she was far from his ideal partner. They had argued since the moment they had met. Rini knew that Raylin had a spot for her in his heart, which was true. She had the same for him. But, even with a child, they knew that it was not love. Well, she knew. She…thought she knew. Ridiculous, things were very clear. Raylin was not her husband, her fiancée, her boyfriend. Heck, they could barely be considered friends in the eye of the public.

It was those tender moments that clouded her mind. Those times when she would look into his stern eyes and see the real gentle angel he was. The first time they kissed. The way he could touch her and make her feel so safe, something that not even her closest friends could do without effort. But Raylin had this aura around him. It was warm, like she had never felt before.

Use to the cold and darkness, she never realized anyone could take it away from her. No one could permanently push away all signs of horrible nightmarish visions of her life, and make her only see and feel utter bliss. Only Raylin.

Rini: Only Raylin…

She found herself whispering with a tender voice. That was the first battle. The second one had a different story, in which the end has yet to be decided in her heart. Her eyes had fallen upon the other warrior now. He was smiling-- floating in the air, lightening cracking around his sword as he swung it around teasing his pursuer. This was a game to him, the battle was…because in his eyes. There was only one problem and he knew how to fix it. He was supposed to fix it one month ago.

Memories arouse in her mind. She was remembering every thing now. Every moment they spent together, from the first one…

Bacardie: My lady, I do not see why I must set an extra seat at the dining table. Sir Raylin told us he would not be back for a while and his visits are hardly long. And he is hardly one to join at the formal dinner hours.

Bacardie told her Mistress as she went ahead and began to set the angel’s seat at the elongated dining table. Her queen smiled as she walked by,

Rini: It is only for the sake of it, you know Raylin likes to crash in on us so often. Besides, Aura might show up. Who really knows, it is just a good idea.

The servant only nodded as she finished the luxurious décor of the table and quickly made her way out of the room. Alone, the queen examined the table. Three places were set. At the head of the table was her seat of course. To the right was the seat of her dearest friend and loyal servant, Nate Chan… And on the other end, so distant, was Raylin’s seat. So empty she thought. Once, loyal servants, friends, and family had gathered at this table for a feast every night. Now, her servants eat alone. Her family is gone…her friends had mostly disappeared and company just doesn’t seem to arrive daily like it use to. This frightened the queen. She did not like to be alone, she never liked it.

Funny, she found herself thinking. For months now, no more then two people have eaten at this table at the same time…Nate Chan had merely just returned home from his journey, and sometimes preferred to eat in his room where he could be alone with his thoughts. Usually during this time, her neighboring friend, Aura, would stop by for the meal. And when Raylin was around, well…he never did like the food here.

This only depressed the queen. It brought more and more memories, digging deeper into her until she was alone. A lonely child in an empty castle, in a hidden world. She swept a tear from her eye and took her seat at the table. She smiled graciously to Bacardie, who set the meal in front of her. Rini then turned to find herself in an empty room once more. Her body ached as she denied herself the dinner. Rini did not seem to notice, she could only feel the pain her heart was aching. She found herself heading towards her room, down the empty corridors, up the silent stairs and finally, into the place most private of all. Her room, where no one could see her cry. Or at least, she had always thought so.

Stepping out onto the balcony she looked out at her garden, thousands of flowers with hundred of types, all together blossoming in beauty. She could see the way the plants intertwined with each other, making one massive collage of color. She could only hope the plants would never die. But it was a futile hope, for the truth is, they will one day. And those that survived will soon wither away as well. The queen gave a reluctant sigh and turned away, only to find her self eye to eye with piercing blue eyes to the likes of which she had never seen. A deep gallant voice spoke softly.
Tane: So you are her?

Queen Darklight did not quite understand, she could only step back to the edge of the balcony to take in the sight before her. A stranger stood before her. He wore a mischievous smile and one of the two most gorgeous pair of angelic wings she had ever seen. But these, were different, these wings seemed to have dyed themselves black, almost as if an aura of evil had submerged them into the darkness. He seemed so familiar, and yet, he wasn’t.

The man took a step forward and clasped Rini’s hand into his own; he took a magnificent bow, which surprised the lady. Even more so was the gentlemen’s kiss he laid upon her hand. She could only look at him in the eyes and remain silent as he looked her over quickly and spoke flirtatiously.
Tane: You’re beauty surpasses all of our people, I am glad we are together at last, Darklight.

Days had passed since the demon, Tane, had come to the castle. He visited often now, twice even three times a day. It seemed he was never far away from Darklight, always watching her…like Raylin use to. She remembered the way the eyes of the holy being would fall upon her when she was looking. She could feel the examination of her body. Not the way such pigs had done, but the way some one would look, in awe and respect, not lust. Tane had the same way about him, except ever so often she could feel his eyes falling a little bit lower the Raylin’s gaze would. And for some reason…she was okay with that.

Queen Darklight asked Tane why he visited so often. At first he would remain silent and just smirk…but as days turned to weeks, he no longer gave a secretive smirk, but a smile. A true smile focused right on her.
Tane: To see the most beautiful creature in all existence, that is why.

During his visits the Queen began to feel close to him, she no longer felt so alone. And while she grew closer to him emotionally, he grew closer to her physically. A stroke of the cheek; fingers running though her hair; a hand massaging her shoulders—Tane had become so close. While Raylin…Raylin was never there, was he?

The other residents and guests of the castle did not seem to mind the new demon in the land. He was much more talkative then the angel, and quiet funny. Though he was friendly towards them, he spent more time with Lady Darklight then anyone else. So once again, an angelic being was in her life, getting to know her while remaining a stranger to her closest friends and guardians. Perhaps this time…she found herself thinking one day. Perhaps this time it will go better.

Darklight had found herself walking past her garden on a cold winter’s night. She held her arms to her body, holding herself for warmth and comfort. Her mind wandered as she walked down the garden path and past the gate, soon leading to the forest that surrounded her acres of garden. Walking along the path around the frozen lake, she found herself thinking of Raylin.

She was in the garden with him when it happened. They had been arguing again. It seemed so trivial now that she could not ever remember what about. The memory of the kiss brought warmth to her lips, hey eyes drifted partially shut as she leaned up that winter night, remember the kiss, wishing it never stopped. She stood there by the lake, eyes now closed with her lips parted, in a world of her own.

She found arms wrapped around her, warming her body, she could only coo in pleasure as the warmth heated on her scarlet lips, the kiss was incredible. She found her memory had taken form as new heat was added to the tender kiss; she was now pulled onto her toes as a familiar touch ran down her back. She was lost now. Her hands rested on the man’s chest, not wanting him to ever stop. Never again.

Rini: …Raylin…?

She found the name escaping her lips into the kiss, she tried to push her body closer to him but she was stopped by a voice.

Tane: Far from the truth, beautiful.

Her eyes opened, a wave of shock woke her from her day dream. Standing before her was the demon. His blackened wings were wrapped around her, his eyes seemed tender to her, looking right inside her. He ran a hand through her hair.
Tane: I could not resist…forgive me.

Darklight examined her surroundings, she was in the forest still, much deeper on the path then she had ever traveled. She stood in an opening where twigs and leaves had been cleared and a fire sat in the center crackling. Her eyes met Tane’s once more, he had seen into her. He knew she was alone, and he knew that he could change that—he was a demon like her. It was destiny. They kissed once more.

Raylin: The hell?

She stirred once more, slowly turning her face to see an enraged angel floating over the lake. Wave crashed to the shore as the wind bend and broke tree branch. She swept her hair from her eyes; the gust of wind only seemed to get stronger as Raylin hovered above her, tears of rage in his eyes…

Tane seemed amused at this; he pushed Rini behind him and smiled.

Tane: So we meet at last. I have been waiting for such a long time to meet you face to face, Raylin…

She was no long reminiscing. The fight continued and now her friends had left to join or stop it. All she could do was think about the two. No, this was foolish. She must stop them before they do something that would change everything forever. She had to.

A scream broke into the darkened sky of Negasis. Aura found her self plummeting to the ground knocked away from Raylin by a powerful blast of what felt like wind that had the ability to cut. She could see that Raylin was too enraged to be stopped by anyone. She closed her eyes, the pain that had hit her being too much for her to bear. Her body was falling fast towards the ground with nothing to stop the impact. Nate looked down in shock at Raylin, he hardly had a second to think before he was dropping to Aura’s aide. Just as she landed in his arms, he could see the clashing of swords had begun.

Rini had joined the two spectators now. She stroked her hand through Aura’s hair, tears in her eyes.

Rini: I truly am sorry.

Aura: Psh, its okay, my lady. Not like I can’t just heal myself. But this head ache is really getting to me.

Aura contorted with a smile. It was true; the light wounds of her body had seemed to vanish, leaving the girl nearly a hundred percent better.

The battle had turned into a dance over the castle. As the swords clashed, the motions became beautiful in the ironic way that battles can do that. A Charge; a side step; a thrust; a parry. The swordsmen seemed to have every step planned, never faulting, never hitting each other. Performing for their spectators. But this was far from the truth. In fact, these men where out for blood. Equally matched, the battle would go on for days it seemed. Or at least it should of.

For the truth was, Rini could not stand by anymore. She cared truly for both of them, and did not want to see one or the other die by anyone’s hand, especially each others. She clenched her fist in fear as the warriors began to breathe more heavily, seeming to have problems in flight; exhausted. It was at that moment she saw it. Tane had let down his guard for a brief moment to give Darklight a mischievous smile. Raylin had seen it too.

Rini: Raylin! Don’t do it!

The cry of the queen’s words hit the angel’s ears hard. He turned to see the crying face of his queen. He was in the process of charging the hell spawn, having the perfect opportunity to destroy him. But now all he could do is look into the eyes of his beloved. She…she cared for Tane. She…she loves him. He was in shock, emotions had stunned him. Emotions in which he felt he would never see or feel for this girl. They had frozen him in the sky. Until he felt the piercing of the darkened angel’s blade penetrating his gut.

Down below, the three looked in horror at the scene. Rini held her hand over her lips, in shock. All she could see was Raylin looking directly at her…he was…hurt by her words. The others had seen it as well, the questions why Raylin would look at Rini in such a way. But it was too late for the too saw Tane’s blade ramming into the petrified angel’s body. Tane looked smugly at Raylin as he removed his sword from the weakened angel. He was the victor.

Now, Raylin too found himself falling to the earth, he could only look to Rini one last time before his eyes slipped shut and he fell into an unconscious state of mind. His body crashed into the ground, leaving a small crater around his wrecked body. Aura hastily ran to Raylin, knowing his wounds needed attention. Nate Chan followed after her, stopping briefly to look at Rini. But she was gone.

Floating up in the sky, Rini stood in front of Tane, looking directly into him, her anger seemed to burn the sky. Tane smiled and leaned in, about to kiss his prize. Before his lips could get close to her a burning slap came across his cheek, knocking him to the side. He quickly gathered himself and looked to Rini. He could feel the sting where her nails had dug themselves into his cheek, leaving four scratch lines. He looked confused to the angry queen.

Rini: How could you! How could you do that?

Tane: It was in self defense, my love. If I didn’t get him, you know damn well he would’ve gotten me for sure.

He argued his case to Darklight, whose eyes wept tears formed only by anger. He reached out a hand, cupping her cheek in the palm of his hand.

Tane: Rini…don’t you see. I must kill him. He would ruin everything we have. He would ruin our people’s plan.

To this the Queen looked shocked; she had never realized she had a group of people. She was one of a kind, wasn’t she? Maybe this is why she was not alone when she was with Tane. They were of the same race. They were the same. Tane continued.
Tane: Rini, sweetheart, don’t you want our families to be happy?

Family. She had a family. That was not right. Tane had to be wrong. There was no way she had family. They would be here, with her. She was alone-- Guarding this castle…alone. That was her destiny; no family would ever leave her to this destiny. She had no one. He was wrong.

But Tane continued, he told her how she honestly wasn’t alone. She was her people’s last hope. He told her so much. He told her of an epic battled between her people and Raylin’s. He told her how she was sent out to find a safe haven; a new world to rule, to rule with him. He told her of her birth, a thousand years ago on a distant planet that her people ruled over; a planet the locals had called Earth.
Tane: Rini…Do you not see, I will be King of this world, and you will be my bride. We will be together.

Tane spoke, holding Rini in his arms as they floated above the castle of Negasis, overlooking the world as far as they could see.

Over a thousand years ago…

“ATTACK!” I blood thirsty commander screamed at his men as they charged the hundreds of angel forms that had come from the heavens to destroy those who had taken the now dead planet. Angel and Demon fought against each other. The demons seemed crazed with their attacked, fighting and killing at random while the angelic beings attacked and destroyed in harmony. Once again battle took place all over this poor planet. Perhaps for the last time.
Inside the tallest tower in the entire world, darkened angels had gathered. They were of higher stature then that of the beasts that fought for them and had yet not seen true battle. They argued amongst each other.
“We are doomed!” One shouted.
“Silence the fool!” Another yelled. They continued their arguments over the fate of their people, until the eldest spoke. “We are not doomed. We still have hope.”
A woman enter, holding a child wrapped in silk clothe followed by a young boy with darkened wings. The woman looked to the men of the room and smiled. They bowed respectively to their queen.
“It is simple.” The eldest spoke. “Our bodies may be gone soon, but we will be revived to this plan thanks to these two. The son of Lucifer and the daughter of Lilith shall be our saviors.”
A ceremony had begun focusing around the young babe while the elder spoke to his fellow fallen angels. “We will encase the child in a seal.” He spoke while the beginnings of a transparent crystal began to form around the red eyed girl. “..and send her away to a new world for us to conquer.”
“Sir, But what of the boy and our royal family?!”
“Simple,” the man continued to speak. “We will guard them while they are to be sent off with our greatest warriors.”
“And if the girl is to die?” The old man responded to another question with a stroke of the Queen’s stomach. “There is no problem.”

And so the last chance effort to rules the galaxy was sent out, sealed asleep in a crystal of pure dark energy, heading off to a distant planet. The demons continued to fight to the last one, and then the darkened angel began to take on the angels while the Royal Mother and boy were sent off in similar crystals surrounded by the strongest fallen angels the dark ones had to offer, until one by one they stopped to fight any pursuers.

Days passed, a once great and powerful race had been banished back to the depths of their creation, leaving only a certain few to decide if their kind were ever to freely rule again.

Rini looked in shock, this could not be true. The bastard had no right to make up such lies. She had no family, and he was not destined to rule with her. She did not want to revive a whole race of blood thirsty monsters. Did she?

Tane: Do you not see, my love. It does not matter anyway you put it. Now that we are together our race can return to this plane and start their quest of destruction once more. It all starts with his death.

With that Tane turned, raising his sword and thrusting his arm out, the sword aimed at Raylin. It began to send a surge of dark energy from its base.

Tane: Time to die, Ang-

His words were cut as he watched an explosion of purple smoke form around his arm. He gasped out; reaching his free hand to grasps his now armless lump of flesh, trying to hold in the flow of blood that poured from the wound. He looked at Darklight with a crazed look of shock on his face. Gripping harder to his wound as a trickle of blood came from his lip. Darklight floated over him with a smirk upon her usually so innocent lips.
Rini: You are mistaken. I need no one by my side to rule.

Before Tane could respond, Darklight continued.
Rini: Now get out of my sight before you are short a few more limbs, you bastard.

With that Tane limpishly made his way into the woods leaving a trail of blood behind him. Rini found her way next to Aura.
Rini: Is he okay, Aura?

Rini asked the blonde while looking over Raylin. The blonde nodded and smiled to Rini. But no smile returned. Rini looked away from the two and spoke softly.

Rini: Aura…Tane he…

Rini turned to face Aura now. Tears had returned to her already red face.
Rini: He told me I wasn’t of this world.

To this Aura was the one who could not face the Queen now. She looked to Raylin before standing, concentrating on the ground. Rini questioned Aura’s actions now.

Rini: You knew, didn’t you.

Aura began to walk away, but Rini followed her grabbing her arm, pulling her around to greet eyes filled with anger and sorrow. It was true. Rini realized this now. Aura had been around for millennia’s it seemed. She knew all, but with years of intelligence, comes hatred by others, so she remained hidden to the world. But now she had to tell Rini. Had to tell Rini all she had seen on this world.
Aura: It was the castle of my people. How could I not remember it. You are a destroyer of races, Rini. You may never know it. But you are destined to destroy us all.

Ages passed, all the races found each other as enemies on this once peaceful planet. The last of a group call De’ Talos had found themselves living in the area where the castle had been. Aura had watched the race for years. A might race they were, with the power to transform their bodies to anything they willed; they too had the same fate of Aura’s people. Four eighteen years ago a crack of lightening was heard all over this world. And it seemed there was a shatter in the sky. Aura watched in horror as the De’ Talos ran from their village as it seemed the entire area seemed to shatter. When it was over, jagged pieces of bodies were scattered over the land. Floating mirror pieces now filled the sky, surrounding a castle-- A castle which disappeared so long ago. And on top of that castle stood a young girl, looking to the land that had just awakened to her.

Aura: I was going to kill you Rini, for all the pain you had caused.
Rini looked away, she responded to the story with such angst,

Rini: I would of done the same if I had known, I…Aura I did not know!
She pleaded, trying to convince herself more then Aura.

Aura: I know that. That is why I did not kill you. I had every intention of slicing your head off that day we met. But you seemed so friendly, and caring. Pleading for help as you held a baby in your arms, frantically telling me you think some beast had killed his parents… I do believe you can change you’re fate, Rini.

Darklight released her grip on Aura’s arm; the two only looked to each other before Aura headed to her home. Knowing they all needed some time. Rini watched her go until she could no longer see the blonde hair in the white snow that had begun to fall. They both would need time.

Rini had just found out that she was destined to help kill and rule so many races. Her two closest friends, their people had fallen victim to her destiny. And why? Why, she did not know. She did not remember anything of her own people. She just remembers the castle, and being so alone. She had destroyed the barrier on the castle because of her loneliness. Her own selfishness had killed and she was ignorant to it.

Night had fallen and the Queen continued to think of the day eighteen years ago. All the body parts and blood, she thought a monster had killed everyone. But it was her. She broke their illusionary world, and broke them leaving them in fragments just like the barrier. Shattered all over her domain. Rini let out a sob before she found herself in a strong embrace. The angel had stirred from his restful state and had worked his was to her side. She looked up at him, tears covering her deep red eyes.

Rini: Raylin…I…

She was soon hushed. The man had placed a finger over her scarlet lips before replacing them with his own angelic lips. The girl was in ecstasy as her eyes shut, feeling the heated breath against her. She found her hand running down his muscular arm to grasp onto his while his other had wrapped around her finding its way to the arch in her back, pulling her to him. A subtle touch of tongues seem to wash away all the woes of the day. The dancing of their tongues ended with a deep look to each other.

The young queen smiled to the angel. He was home once more, where he belonged. She felt the touch of his hands covering her shoulders as they ran down to her arms, slipping the robe from her shoulders. The gentle hands then glided behind her to her back, pulling her to the chest of the holy being. She gazed upward into the gentle white pupils as once again the lips met in heated passion. Time seemed blurred with her senses as the two intertwined in lip lock. The angel lay on his back, sweat glistening from his now unwrapped body. The two seemed in total sync. Candle light caste dancing shadows on their rocking bodies. Darklight looked down to her lover, her eye lids seemed heavy as her held tipped back, a drop of sweat teasing its way down her neck. She felt her moans escape her as the drip slipped down around her virgin breasts.

A cold winter’s wind found its ways into the closed quarters, sending a chill though the heated bodies as it ran against the two lovers. The wind made the candle’s shadows dance and flicker. Flashes of heated pleasure could be seen as the candle’s flame burned away at its own wax. The light continued to dance against the shadows of the room with each gust of wind. It was until one final gust swirled between the bodies and to the candle that the flame thrilled about before going out with the release of two tender sighs. The Angel looked to his Queen in the darkened room,

Raylin: I love you, Rini Darklight.

Tane panted as he scurried against the cold wind that winter night, he was weak from his wound. Dry blood covered his hand. He stopped briefly, standing up and straightening himself.
Tane: What do you want?
He gasped out to the figure behind him.
Nate: Nothing.

The figure responded, but that was far from the truth. The scream filled the night. Tane’s body hit the ground in a burning mess of blood, melting the snow beneath it. The figure stepped onto the body, crushing the circuses skull open on the red snow.

Nate: Nothing at all…
