Negasis- Chapter 7

Rini: So, you got everything on the list?

Rini asked her friend who sat on the opposite side of the elegantly made bed.

Aura: Yeah, everything except his present. I figured we could do that together. I wasn't too sure on what he may want or like."

Aura answered as she took the list from her pocket and handed it over.

Rini: Tonight I'm sending him off with Torrent to go camping. While Torrent keeps him busy we can go into town and find something for him.

Rini got up and walked across the room to the balcony.

Rini: Do you think everyone will come..?
Aura: I don't know.
Aura stood and followed after her. She stood next to Rini on the balcony and watched the sky.

Aura: You only invited very close friends and family, and you know how Raylin gets about these things.
Rini leaned down onto the balcony railing and sighed.

Rini: Yes, he can be so stubborn. But I can't help how he acts.
Aura: And you plan to marry him. Anyways, let’s get ready to go. I can see Torrent heading from the woods now. He and Nate will be leaving shortly. Let’s see them off.

Aura turned and left her friend on the balcony alone. A short while later they all met in the main hall. Torrent was helping Nate pack his things while Aura wandered around them telling them everything she thought might help them in the woods. Torrent laughed at her and reminded her that he lived in the woods and could keep his Nate Chan safe. Rini walked down the hall stairs and up to Nate, gave him a hug and told him to behave himself. After that, he and Torrent were off on horse back for their night away.

Aura: So, you all ready for some late night shopping?

Aura asked with a big smile as she pulled out her coin bag. She had been saving any money she got her hands on for this trip.

Rini: Let me just get my cloak and I'll meet you at the stables. We'll take my 2 fastest horses so we're not caught leaving. Raylin hates me going out so late, even with someone with me.

Rini said with slight irritancies in her voice. She turned and headed to the hall closet to get her black velvet cloak. (I wonder what he wants. I never really thought about it.) She thought to herself as she took her belongings and headed out the castle doors. She met Aura behind the stables and mounted her horse.

Rini: Ready?
Aura: You know it, let’s get going! Race you to the outer gates!

With that she took off on her black horse.

Rini: I don't think so, you cheated!

They took off down the road and out the open front gates that lead into the town. Rini knew even though the stores were closed for the public that if she needed something the owners would all let her in to do her business. It was only right of them. She couldn't leave the castle and go into town during the day, too many people would hoard about her and bother her. As the two girls reached the first shop they hopped off their horses and tied them to the stable posts. They walked to the back door rather than the front and got the shop owner up. He gladly let them into the shop. They looked around at everything but couldn’t find a single thing that screamed out that it was good enough for their friend. Though, Aura did find, and buy, a lovely new tunic top for him. The two girls spent hours in town, sneaking into one store after another. But, still Rini couldn’t find anything. At the last shop, though, Rini hit pay dirt. It was the town’s most expensive shop. It had the most beautiful toys, clothes and jewelry. She found a small white dog made of the softest faux fur she had ever felt. Around its neck was a beautiful glass stone charm on a silver chain.

Rini: He loves toys, and this necklace would look gorgeous on him.

Rini mumbled to herself. She took it to the counter and bought it without second thought.

Meanwhile in the woods...

Torrent: So, are you having fun yet?

Torrent leaned over his lover who was sprawled out on the grass. He leaned down and gave him a kiss on the nose.

Nate: More than you could imagine. But why the sudden want to come out here with me?
Torrent: Can’t I bring you out for a nice night away from the girls once in a while?

He ran his long albino fingers through Nate's hair, putting a chill down the boys back.
Nate: I guess so. So, what do you have planned for tonight?

Nate asked, poking Torrent's nose. He then sat up and looked at his albino lover.

Torrent: I don’t know, a little of this…

He tugged at the smaller boy’s shirt.

Torrent: And a little of that…

He set one of his hands on the boy’s leg and smiled. The other boy just smiled back at him. Nate leaned forward and gave the wolf a quick sweet kiss and laid back down in the grass. Just as he yawned and was ready to fall partly asleep when he felt a heavy weight on his chest. He opened his eyes to find Torrent right in his face.

Nate: Someone’s playful, aren’t they?

He asked, laughing. But his laughter was cut short by Torrent's lips on his. Just that feeling alone put him into submission. He laid there and let the were-child have him. Long into the night the two teased each other in little childish games. There was the game of dare, where they dared each other to the point of them both being in their underwear. And there was truth, where they asked each other many a question that led to Nate being pinned to the ground by a very lust filled Torrent. It turned Nate on badly the way Torrent's eyes got when he was like this. And it did the same to Torrent the way Nate used his nails on his back, and the way he'd bite his neck. After hours of having it at each other Nate found himself lying in the arms of his lover, who was fast asleep by now. He ran his fingers over the small bite marks and hickies he left on Torrent's stomach and arms. Soon after, he too, fell fast asleep.

Back at the castle...

Rini: Ok, the cake is being finished, and the decorations are being finished by Lady Bacardie.

Rini rushed around like a chicken with her head cut off. She was just about to race into the large dinning hall when she heard a door slam. (Oh no.... not now...) She turned to see Raylin walking in.

Rini: Must you slam the bloody doors?
Raylin: Habit. Most of the time when I'm brought here it's because you did something stupid and there is need to slam them.

He said low, under his breath. He looked around at the room full of color and food and decorations.

Raylin: Really going through with this, aren’t you?
Rini: Its for Nate Chan, of course I am. Will you be here?

She asked him as she went to the table to make sure everything Nate loved was ready and perfect.

Raylin: I suppose I could show for a bit. But I rather only be in this god forsaken castle for you, not for other people.

Raylin mumbled. He went to pick up a small cake but felt a sharp pain as Rini smacked his hand away from them.

Rini: Not for you. Now help me find Aura. She’s wrapping all the presents and I want to make sure she gets mine right. I bought something special for him and I don’t want it mixed with the rest.

Rini walked away towards the back hall storage room. There she found Aura covered in pieces of paper and tape and ribbon.

Rini: My gods, Aura, are you giving yourself to him as well?
Aura: No, I'm just not very good at this.

Aura said blushing. She herself was more wrapped than any of the gifts.

Rini: I just wanted to make sure mine was set aside. I want to give it to him specially tonight, alone.

Rini said somewhat quietly, but loud enough that the late arriving angel hear her.

Raylin: Alone with who?

Raylin asked deeply looking at her.

Rini: Nate Chan, stop being so jealous.

Rini snapped back. Nearly 4 hours later all the lights in the castle were turned down and off. Everyone except Rini went to the Great Hall and waited in silence. Rini stood by the entrance gates and greeted Torrent and Nate, who was still asleep on his horse.

Rini: Welcome home Torrent, dear. Did you two have fun?

Rini hugged her grandson and smiled at the sleeping Nate Chan.

Torrent: We had a lot of fun, and we behaved.

He lowered his very high head down to Rini's level.

Torrent: Is everything set for him?
Rini: Oh yes, everything is very well set. Help me get him to his bedroom. He needs to freshen up before hand. Don’t need a sleepy birthday boy, do we?

Rini took his things and watched Torrent lift Nate off the horse with little effort. They brought him to his bedroom and laid him in bed. After a bit he woke and looked over to Rini and Torrent.

Nate: What’s going on? When did I get back here?
Rini: A little while ago, Nate Chan. Put this on. I have something for you after you’re dressed.

Rini then walked out and left Torrent and Nate Chan in the bedroom alone. Moments later Nate came from the room in his new clothes. A Beautiful new black and silver tunic top with matching pants was what he was clad in. It made him look like a young prince. Rini smiled, happy to see the new outfit fitted him so well.

Rini: Ready?
Nate: I guess so. What’s up?

He followed her down the stairs, followed by Torrent. Rini led them both to the doors of the Great Hall and smiled.

Rini: Close your eyes Nate Chan.

The boy did so and let the two lead him into the dark room. They sat him down in Rini's thrown and told him to keep his eyes closed till he could notice lights on. When he finally noticed lights were shining in the room he opened his eyes and almost choked on the air he gasped in. Everyone, from Nagh and Random and family, to Raylin of all people were there. They all cheered for him with a loud "Happy Birthday!" Rini just stood off to the side, smiling. She loved seeing her closest friend this happy. After he regained himself he looked at her and smiled. He got up and gave her a tight hug and a kiss on the cheek.

Nate: Thanks Rini Chan.
Rini: Thank Torrent also. He agreed to bring you out while we got ready. He said it would be your birthday gift from him..

After thanking them both again he went down into the crowd to greet everyone and get to his favorite part of parties, the eating. After hours of foods and drinks they announced it was time for presents. He took his seat back in Rini's thrown and one by one opened presents. From Aura, aside from the lovley new clothes, he got new jade earrings and a new writing book. From Random and her family a new dagger, hand crafted by Random herself, and sharpened by Bowden . Torrent's gift was the night out in the woods that Nate would never forget. Bacardie gave him all the food he could eat that day. Raylin even got him somthing. He got him a special wrist cuff that could protect him from danger by use of his own aura. he thanked everyone for their gifts, but noticed Rini hadnt gotten him anything.
Many more hours of feasting and drinking went by. But Nate noticed that two people had gone missing. He quietly excused himself from the party and knew right where to find them. He went around the back corridors and out into Rini's garden. He stood in the door and watched Rini and Raylin. They had snuck out for some time alone. It was hard for them to get alone time with everything that had been going on. He watched for about 15minuets untill Raylin gave Rini a deep kiss, ran his fingers through her hair and was gone with a flap of his white wings. He waited a few seconds and headed out to her. He walked up behind her and set his hand on her shoulder which startled Rini. She turned and smiled.

Rini: Sorry we left Nate Chan, We needed to talk about things.
Nate: It's fine. I was just wondering where your present went.
Rini: Oh yes, I wanted to give it to you away from everyone else. You know I like to do things away from the masses. This is for you, I hope you like it.
Nate: I love anything you give me Rini Chan.

Nate took it and opened it slowly and more carefully than all the other presents. When he got the box open he smiled and sighed.

Nate: The best present ever.

Nate lifted the small dog out of the box and took the necklace off it. He slid it around his neck and looked down at it. Then, he looked at the dog and got the biggest grin.

Nate: It looks like Torrie, so that’s what I'll name him. Torrent Jr.

He laughed and hugged Rini tight and thanked her. The two sat outside for a while, talking about things to come and things that had passed. By the time they noticed everyone had gone it was day break. Nate stood up and looked down at Rini.

Nate: Let me walk you to your room, you need your sleep, princess.

He put his hand out to her and helped her up. After getting her to her bedroom and saying good night he went to his own. Lying on his bed he took in hand the new toy she had gotten him.

Nate: Torrent Jr…

He managed to mumble just before his eyes closed and he fell fast asleep...
