Tantiedan: The Return

AN- I only have the files for the Preface and the first two chapters for "Book Two", ALSO you can read this with out reading The Awakening, although that is not advisable, The Return (working title) is a new plot, BUT we (Kevin and I) didn't take to much time to redevelop major characters from the first story. (NO THE EMAILS DON'T REALLY EXIST-- at least to my knowledge they don't!)

Makafushigi,
I know every inch of you wants to close this e-mail. DON’T. Please, just read it; you owe me nothing, but I am begging you. You are in more danger now than ever before. I realize what went wrong! I must tell you everything…and hope that you can find it in your heart to believe what I have to say.
I tried to bring Him back. I don’t know what you have learned about Him—He was a great man-no, a great God. In the beginning the Alpha walked the Earth with his followers, teaching, healing. You see, a group opposed Him; a father and his son led the group. They tried to kill him—but he was a God and they failed. They managed to destroy His physical manifestation; His Great Essence survived their unjustified attack.
On the eve of His assassination, nine of His most loyal followers—as well as the wife of one—held a feast in His honor. After drinking of the wine, the woman began to speak in a foreign tongue that only His followers ever could have recognized—a message from their captured leader; a message from Mephistopheles. She spoke of his resurrection to come…and it is here, in more than just my translation of the ancient texts, where I made an old fools mistake.
You see, Makafushigi, I misinterpreted the texts. I thought I understood. What I knew—or thought I knew—was this: Nine believers must take their lives in His name in order for the process of His resurrection to begin. Then there was the prophecy of the two with unwavering eyes and extraordinary gifts: a male who would become our Lord and a female to become His bride.
Writing it now, it all seems so foolish! I deeply regret all that I have done. I, once again, beg for your forgiveness. I cannot believe what I was willing to sacrifice. Now I may never get a chance to know you and your brother, my only living grandchildren.
I never felt that it was necessary to take more lives than needed, and I would have preferred if only those required had died. It is true that I had my granddaughter, your cousin, Sophia, killed, but it was in a moment of sheer panic. It is true that, through my zeal, I had my own son murdered; but that was so that I could meet you, so that—essentially—I could kill you and your brother as well. It is true that I lured your mother abroad with promises of reconciliation—your mother, whom I so deeply admired.
I will not lie to you, not anymore. I do not feel that I could, although I doubt that you would ever be willing to speak to me again. Please, forgive me.
The problem (and I am glad for it, without which you would certainly be dead) was that only eight lives were taken willingly; my error was in counting the death an unborn child’s death as willful. Like I have said, I did not want to take any more lives than necessary. Still, my hands are stained with blood and, try as I might, I cannot change that fact.
I don’t—no, I won’t—make any excuses; I will not blame my possession or any otherworldly entity for my actions. Know that I am sorry and would never do such a thing, though I almost did.
The danger is not gone. I feel terrible putting such pressure on you, after everything you have gone through at my hands. The Ninth is still out there. You must stop them from taking their life! Attached is a list of Possible Ninth Saints. I beg you, stop this.
