Chapter 1
Chapter 1
The year is 2129, since our time Earth has gone through some major changes. Wars had escalated completely out of control, the economy in almost every major country was crashing, and the environment was in dire straits. If humanity had kept on with the path it was on, we would have destroyed ourselves in a matter of years, if not months. Instead creatures that were thought to only have existed in horror stories and fairy tales stepped in to stop the destruction. Now, demons lived more or less side by side with humans, and while there are still those that do not agree with getting help from something seen as evil for so long, everything was mostly peaceful. Well, at least for now…
…
…
“Good morning everyone, and welcome to your first lesson in Demonology.”
The entire class sat further up in their seats as the teacher walked into the room from one of the doors at the front of the room. The man was the embodiment of what you would imagine a college professor to look, old, in his fifties at least, portly, slightly balding head and a full gray mustache. He approached the desk in the front and placed a small, dime sized disk in an indent on the desk, which prompted a display to appear over the wall behind him. The images floated in mid air, showing diagrams of the anatomy of different demons, as well as maps, charts and many other pieces of information. The most of the class seemed unfazed by this, only one student looked on in awe at the spectacle. Pan was in utter shock, when he had asked to be transferred over from the local community college to the university to take their Demonology course, he’d never expect it to be this high-tech.
“So, how many of you have completely read through your Demonology, Year One books?” They’re professor, a one Rudolf Serentio, asked the class. And Pan was horrified to see a few students actually raised their hands. Serentio laughed, “I figured as much. Well, as ahead as you all are, let’s go over the basics for the rest of the class, shall we?”
“How many can tell me what is the difference between a demon and a human?” Serentio glanced around the room, before pointing at a girl that had raised her hand.
“Umm, one has magic the other doesn’t?”
“Yes, that’s right in a very broad description, anyone have something a bit more specific?” He asked the class again.
This time a guy raised his hand, “Humans are born of evolution, we as well the rest of the animal kingdom started as prehistoric creatures and evolved from there. Demons, however, are born from magic, they are beings that thousands of years the Gods enlightened to act as mediators between our world and theirs. Because of this demons have an extended lifetime so that they’re decisions would not be as fickle as those of humans.”
Pan scoffed quietly enough so no one could hear him, the guy sounded like he was a walking textbook, it was ridiculous.
“Very good, uhh,” Serentio looked down at the class seating chart, “Markus?” The textbook nodded. “Yes, very good. So, can anyone say why demons that look more human are stronger than those that don’t?”
The textbook raised his hand again, but the professor chose another girl at the front of the class. “It is believed, but not proven, that demons that look more human are ones that complied with their Gods wishes, and in doing so kept in their good graces, but the demons who went against or ignored their Gods were punished for doing so, and over the generations became weaker and more unrefined.” Jeez, what was with these guys, did they just sit there and memorize everything word for word from the book?
The professor once again looked down at the seating chart before saying, “Ah, thank you, Emily. A wonderful answer. Alright, before we get into the actual lesson for today, does anyone have any questions?”
This time Pan was the one who raised his hand, though he was a little worried when he was the only one, he still kept his hand up. The professor looked up to see who it was, glanced at the seating chart before looking back again at Pan, “Ah, Mr. Pan Miers, correct?” Pan nodded. “And what’s you question, son?”
“I was just wondering… Um, when do you start teaching about elemental demons?” There were a sudden slew of whispers from about the room, as well as laughs and giggles. Had he said something funny?
The professor evaluated him, as if making sure he was asking seriously, before clearing his throat and answering, “Boy, if that is what you’re in this class for I’m sorry to disappoint. The only, and I mean the only things a can really tell you about elemental demons is that they keep to themselves, they don’t like cities or big crowds, and they’re the only demon that can only mate with those of its own kind. Sorry if you were looking for more, but that’s all anyone knows. Now is there anyone else with a relevant question?”
Pan sat back in his seat, embarrassed, as the rest of the class continued with their whispering and laughing, all shooting haughty, superior looks at the brunette. He slid low in his seat, and desperately wished for the day he’d been anticipating greatly to be over.
……………………………….
Brown eyes scanned the room, bored and uninterested. The party had started out promising, a great way to get his mind off of the embarrassment from this morning’s class, but once the local dealers had showed it quickly went down hill from there, now there were groups of people in various states of unconsciousness spaced across the living room, sprawled over the ratty and stained furniture. There were only about half a dozen people still conscious enough for conversation, but unfortunately thanks to the drugs their only means of communicating were fits of giggles and unintelligent rambling that only one in the same state of mind they were in would be able to understand.
Pan sighed and glanced down at his beer, before frowning slightly. For so many to be so out of it so quickly, would mean maybe they had spiked the beer? He lifted it up to his nose and sniffed, but couldn’t tell if it had been. Well, of course he wouldn’t, he berated himself, White Light, the liquid drug that he had seen being passed around, was known for being odorless and tasteless, harder to be picked up by testing that way. Sighing again Pan pushed himself off the wall he had been leaning against before heading out the front door of his friend’s home, pouring the beer into the lawn as he did so and tossing the empty cup into the nearest trash can. Running a hand through his dark brown, almost black short hair he turned and headed down the road in the direction of his shared apartment.
“What a waste of a night…” He muttered to himself, looking up at the darkened sky. His mind wandered back to the party and he made a sound of disgust in the back of his throat. If he would have known Charlie was going to invite the local drug dealers he would’ve refused the invitation to the party the minute he was asked, though admittedly, that’s probably why Charlie hadn’t said anything. Sticking his hands in his pockets Pan came upon the road that lead him the rest of the way back towards his home. He paused, debating inside himself to head home or keep walking. He glanced back and forth down the road, one way leading to a boring night in his apartment, the other lead directly into what most humans considered the ‘bad’ part of town, but in truth it was just the side of the city that the demons mostly inhabited. Pan knew that he was already pretty close to the demon’s area, only a few blocks and he’d truly be in the heart of it.
He continued to argue with himself silently, running through the pros and cons in his head, not really thinking of the countless horror stories he’d heard of people going missing there, instead focusing on the thrill of it all. Not only that but he couldn’t let go of the feeling of something drawing him, compelling him to go there tonight, and while that should’ve scared him, instead it just excited him more. Finally making up his mind Pan turned to the right, away from his home and towards the unknown. He ran another hand through his hair, messing it up even more, thinking back to what his room mate would say if he saw Pan right now. The shocked look before getting angry with the younger brunette, saying that one-day of Demonology lessons was not enough to go venturing into D-district, especially in the middle of the night by himself. Of course, Kyle couldn’t be too mad at Pan about poor judgment, since he was one of the bodies Pan had seen strewn unconsciously over a chair with a woman laying atop him, both of them in various states of undress.
Pan scoffed, lucky bastard, at least he was getting some sort of action that night, Pan’s own love life had been none existent for his entire life, the farthest he had ever gotten with girl was a few kisses, before she suddenly turned him down, saying that he was cold and distant. How exactly could you be cold and distant when your swapping saliva was beyond him, but it was just about the same thing every time. And getting absolutely shit faced and fooling around with someone wasn’t really a choice either because for some reason, no matter how much Pan tried to get drunk, it was impossible, only ever succeeding in getting a slight buzz. And since the man was too much of a gentleman to take advantage of a girl who had no clue where she was or what she doing, at least not without being in the same state of mind, Pan was one of the extremely few individuals in the world who was 21 and still a virgin.
Not that his name helped matters either. He didn’t realize how many people knew of the old children stories until he got into high school and college, people constantly asking him if he could fly and where the Lost boys were. Or even more embarrassing asking if he was actually a girl dressed up like a boy, like the original Peter Pan. The story was over a hundred years old! How did kids still now about it in this time period? It wasn’t even like he looked girly, he was about average height, somewhere around 5’ 9”, and while he wasn’t really big and muscular, he still had some muscle definition.
Pan paused in the middle of the sidewalk, glancing around he suddenly felt like he was being watched. He turned to look back from where he come from and realized how far he had come while lost in his own thoughts. The homes with small front lawns had been replaced with tall brick buildings that crowded the street and dim streetlamps that barely lit the deserted street. Not seeing anything he turned back around and visibly jumped when he saw a man standing about thirty feet ahead, watching Pan. He chuckled nervously, “Jeez, man. You scared the hell outta me.”
But the stranger didn’t say anything and Pan couldn’t properly see his face, for the guy was standing just out of reach of the nearest streetlamp. “Uh, right… I’m just get going now…” Pan said, stepping back from the strange man.
“What are you doing here?” The stranger suddenly spoke up, though still hadn’t moved an inch.
Pan stopped and focused on the other man again, “Uh… what?”
“I said what are you doing here?” Now he started slowly coming forward, passing under one of the streetlights. The man was tall, a few inches taller than Pan, though he looked taller with his ridiculous hair; it was dark red and spiky, shooting straight up. He couldn’t see the other’s face that well though, even under the light the shadows were too intense to see clearly, though he could see the other’s clothes, and wasn’t quite as intimidated as he once was. The man wore a dark colored button up shirt, but let the shirt hang open so you could see the red shirt underneath, and a pair of blue jeans. It actually took all Pan could do to not rib the man, and ask him if he knew it was the 22nd century, because by the way he dressed you wouldn’t have guessed it.
“Uh, just taking a walk, why do you have a problem with that?” Pan asked, now becoming defiant and crossing his arms across his chest.
He could see the stranger’s smile in the dark, as if his teeth were glow in the dark or something close to it. It unnerved him once again, but he refused to step back and let the other know he was afraid. “No problem at all, just wondering why a defenseless human is wandering around known demon territory in the middle of the night. That’s dangerous you know.”
“What about you? Shouldn’t you be worried as well?” Pan asked, his nervousness growing with each casual step the other man took.
If it was possible, the stranger’s smile grew wider, and as he stepped under the last light that separated him and Pan a change seemed to happen. His hair brightened to an unnatural shade of red, his eyes seemed to shine with an eerie yellow orange light, the pupils becoming thin like a cat’s, his incisors seemed to sharpen slightly and his entire body looked to have a slightly red hue, like he had just climbed out of a hot shower or something. The changes were subtle, but Pan knew what it meant and felt the color drain from his face as he realized the man he’s been talking was not a man at all, but a demon. “Oh shit…”
He spun on his heel and bolted, forgetting the about how self assured he was just a few minutes ago when he had started on his little side track, and now only thinking of all the horror stories he had heard about demons. But he didn’t get far before he felt a tight grip on his arm pull him back before pushing him against the wall.
“Oh, now where do you think you’re going, luchóg(1)?” Pan looked up into those strange yellow orange eyes, feeling quite like a mouse in the hold of a cat in the mood to play with his food. He struggled to free himself but a simple arm braced against his chest kept the brunette from going anywhere.
“Get off of me!” Pan yelled pushing against the demon’s chest, but his strength was nowhere near enough to do anything but amuse his captor. The demon laughed lightly before grabbing the human’s wrists, pulling them up and pinning them above the Pan’s head with a single hand. “Now come on now, can’t we be civilized about this?”
“Civilized, my ass! Let go!” He pulled on his arms, desperate to get free. But the demon just tsked slightly, yanking Pan’s arms up an extra couple inches, making the brunette wince in slight pain. Finally, Pan quieted down, but glared at the red head with a mixture of fear and hatred in his eyes. He now realized that the man he was fighting with didn’t look that much older than he did, at the most only a few years. His face was a little long, and he had strong cheekbones and jaw line, but overall he had a well-portioned, handsome face. Wait, handsome? Why the hell was he describing this guy as handsome? “What the fuck do you want?”
The demon shrugged, that damned grin still on his lips, “I was just curious why a human would be wandering around this area, but now I think it seems pretty apparent.”
Pan looked puzzled, “Apparent… How?”
Moving away so only the hand Pan’s wrist remained, the demon looked away and raised his other hand up to his chin, as if pondering something, “Hmm, well let me guess, you’re a student from that University, probably in the demon science program, though only in your first year if you were foolish to come here at all, let alone by yourself…” He returned his gaze to the pinned human with that manic grin in place, “Well, how did I do?”
“How… how did you…?”
“Oh, you’d be amazed at how many idiotic students make the exact mistake you did. Didn’t they tell you the mortality and missing rate among the students in that program?” When Pan’s expression only became more shocked the demon smirked, “Apparently not.”
Pan gulped and looked down at his feet, feeling the desperateness of his situation consume him. “You’re going to kill me, aren’t you?”
“Hmm, no, sorry, I’m not a real fan of human flesh…” Pan looked back up, suddenly hopeful. “R-really?”
“Yeah, that’s more of those animal demons specialty.” The demon shivered at the thought of it, before grinning back at Pan, “Though, that doesn’t mean I’m not going to have some fun first.”
The hope that was blooming in Pan’s chest suddenly died. Sure, the demon said he wouldn’t kill him, but that didn’t eliminate the number of other things he could do. Realizing that he was still only being pinned with the one hand, Pan suddenly lashed out, kicking at the other’s torso and trying to get the demon to loosen his grip just enough for Pan to escape. The first kick was blocked easily with the other’s free hand, and when Pan recoiled to strike out again the demon stepped forward to bring his body flush against the human’s, making it impossible for Pan to move at all. “And here I thought we were past all this.”
“What the hell are you doing? Get off me!” Pan yelled, struggling again.
“I’m having fun, like I said, you’re so feisty that I just can’t help it.” The demon said with yet another grin before leaning in farther so his face his face was about an inch from Pan’s. “Though I have to say, you are rather cute…” And suddenly he was kissing him, mouth covering Pan’s and when the human gasped in shock he slid his tongue into the brunette’s mouth.
Pan was frozen, shocked by the kiss but even more shocked from the overall heat of it, spreading like fire through his veins. After getting over the initial surprise of the kiss Pan quickly started fighting back, first squirming but when that yet again proved fruitless he changed tactics and bit down on the intruding tongue, which did absolutely nothing at all besides amuse his assaulter. When he continued to increase pressure on the bite he heard the demon chuckle slightly before grabbing Pan’s chin and pulling on it to release his tongue and give the red head free reign of the brunette’s mouth once again. Still struggling in the other’s grip, Pan froze when after a particularly hard buck the demon moaned into his mouth, rubbing his groin against the brunette’s. Pan could feel the other’s arousal pressing against his body, and was horrified when he realized his own body was reacting to it as well. He started struggling again, even stronger than before, hoping to break free before the demon noticed it. But no such luck, he realized as the red head pulled his mouth away finally, chuckling again.
“I was about to ask if I was hurting you, but,” the demon rolled his hips against Pan’s again, and the brunette was barely able to bite back the moan threatening to escape, “Apparently I’m not.”
When Pan opened his mouth to protest it was captured again in that burning kiss, continuing that cursed rolling, and effectively confusing the poor human from the conflicting emotions colliding in his head. His mind was yelling at him, that this was a man he was kissing him, and not just a guy but a demon as well, but his body wasn’t listening, enjoying the searing kiss and the steady movement against his rapidly hardening member. He was still arguing with his own body’s emotions when the demon suddenly froze. Pan opened eyes he hadn’t realized he closed and looked around, well looked around as much as he could with his mouth still captured in a kiss and that damn hand on his jaw restricting his head as well. What had caused the sudden freeze became apparent when a low growl issued from a nearby alleyway.
“Shit.” The demon cursed, pulling away from Pan and releasing his hands. The brunette was about to take the chance to escape when an arm wrapped around his middle and slung him over the demon’s shoulder so he was now facing backwards, before running out into the middle of road. Pan yelped at the sudden change in position before the demon suddenly pushed hard against the ground and they were off, now jumping along rooftops instead of roads, Pan watching as the road they were occupying disappeared in the distance, as well as the yellow eyes of whatever had growled at them.
“Wh-what the… Hey, let me down, asshole!” Pan yelled, struggling again.
“I would highly suggest you not do that, since you would probably break your neck if you got out of my hold right now.” The demon readjusted his grip around Pan’s middle, and brought his other hand up to hold him there, the other hand just happening to rest on Pan’s bottom, cupping it slightly.
“Hey! Get your hand off my ass!” the brunette protested, thrashing once again until the hand was moved a little farther down to hold his leg instead.
The demon chuckled, “You are fun to play with though. Oh, and before I forget, the name’s Xane.”
There was silence from the human for a little while before, “You’re shitting me, right?”
“I am not shitting you, why?” The demon, Xane, asked, humor still in his voice.
“You just got done molesting me on the side of the street, and are now carting me off to who knows where the hell to, and you decide to introduce yourself.” Pan said accusingly, feeling very uncomfortable trying to have a conversation while he slung over this stranger’s shoulder.
Xane laughed, “Yeah, that might be true, but you can’t say you didn’t enjoy it.” He shifted Pan on his shoulder again, which made the brunette bite back the groan from the sudden friction on his still half hard cock. “See? And anyways, I thought it’d be pretty obvious where I’m taking you home.”
“Home? I’m human, I live in the exact opposite direction.” Pan said, trying to twist around to see where they were going. “If you won’t put me down, could you at least carry me in a different way? This is really uncomfortable.”
“Why? I think it’s rather nice, and it gives me a great view.” Xane patted Pan’s ass for emphasis, causing the human to sputter out another protest. “And anyways, I can’t slow down because I don’t want whatever disrupted us earlier to catch up. So, we’re going to my home that is protected from unwanted guests.”
Pan started to object again when Xane interrupted him, “By the way, I told you my name, what’s yours?”
“Wh-what? It’s Pan, now listen to me I’m not-“ But the human was once again interrupted.
“Pan? Really?” Xane asked sounding curious.
Suspicious now, Pan answered slowly, “Yeah… why?”
He could feel Xane shrug, “Oh, no reason. Ah, here we are.”
Pan once again tried to turn to see the what the destination was, but the only thing he had been able to see was Xane’s butt, which he was really trying not to look at, and the city speeding past them, becoming less industrial and more rolling lawns. They had stopped going from rooftop to rooftop, because now the only buildings were private homes, and the houses where becoming more and more apart. Suddenly a weird feeling passed over Pan like a wave, and he moaned into the other’s back, feeling boneless.
“Oh, sorry about that, the barrier is a little intense if you’ve never gone through one before.” Xane apologized over his shoulder, as Pan still was completely limp.
Since he no longer had the strength to look around, the only thing in Pan’s vision was the area right below them, so all he could tell was that the green grass had been replaced by what looked like the floor of a patio, then they where inside a house, walking through different rooms. They finally stopped in a carpeted room, before he was lifted off the demon’s shoulder and placed lightly on a bed.
Bed. Bedroom. Shit, he was in Xane’s bedroom! Pan shot back up but was restrained by a light hand on the chest, pushing him back down into the bed. The brunette looked up to have Xane looming over him, grinning still, “Now, where were we?”
Pan’s protest died in his throat as Xane descended on him, capturing his mouth yet again. He pushed his hands against Xane’s chest but the red head grabbed both wrists and pushed them into the bed above his head, mimicking the pose they had been in against the building before. Though now his free hand was no longer holding Pan’s chin so the brunette wouldn’t close his mouth, he didn’t need to since the barrier had drained the human of almost all his strength. Instead the hand traveled along Pan’s body, caressing his waist before moving lower to stoke the human’s awakening arousal through his pants. Pan jerked at the touch, not knowing what to do. He wanted to try to break free of the other’s grip, but instead of trying to do so, his body was arching into Xane’s, and causing Pan to moan openly into their kiss. The demon removed the teasing hand and instead had it roam over the younger male’s body, causing the other to squirm.
The demon’s touches made his body feel like it was on fire, each touch sending shockwaves of pleasure the younger male didn’t even know were possible. Finally his mouth was released from the commanding kiss, leaving Pan to lie there panting, eyes half lidded in lust. He could feel the hot mouth of the demon trailing along his jaw line, before making an agitated sound when he encountered the collar of the young human’s shirt, which encased his entire neck. Suddenly Pan’s hands were released but before the human could do anything both of his shirts were pulled over his head, leaving the expanse of his chest open for the demon’s enjoyment. And enjoy he did, quickly ducking down to latch onto Pan’s left nipple, teasing it with his tongue while his right hand began to tweak the remaining bud. Pan moaned and arched instinctively under the demon’s actions, hands gripping Xane’s shoulders. Though while his mind was still telling his body to push the man away, instead he was pulling him closer, savoring the feeling racing through his body and straight to his groin.
He jumped suddenly when he felt the Xane’s remaining free hand slip inside his pants to lightly stroke his arousal, causing Pan to gasp loudly. Xane released the now hard nub and continued lower, kissing a path down the human’s abdomen as he did so. The hand that had once been teasing Pan’s swelling organ reemerged to make quick work of the front of the younger male’s pants, before pulling them and his undergarments off in one fell swoop. Pan made a sound of indignation, his mind gaining a little bit of control as he realized he was now completely naked in this stranger’s bed. The demon resettled himself between Pan’s legs, face now inches from the young man’s rebellious erect member. But when Pan opened his mouth to protest to whatever Xane was planning to do, all sounds died in his throat as the red head gave the entire length a teasingly slow lick. The human’s head fell back onto the bed once more as he gritted his teeth to quiet the loud moan, before gasping as a wet heat enveloped the tip of his member, sucking lightly before encasing the rest of him.
Pan was beside himself from all the pleasure, his brain was no longer protesting against the sensations that assaulted his body, instead the only thing he focused on was how amazing it felt. By Gods, why didn’t anyone tell him this could feel so good, it literally felt like he was just going to melt from it all. He glanced down to see those unnaturally bright yellow-orange eyes looking up at him, locking his gaze in place in keeping it there as he started to bob his head along the human’s shaft. He was so entranced by those glowing eyes he barely heard the soft pop of the lube, but he did feel the hands on his cheeks, kneading them slightly before pulling them apart and rubbing a slick finger across his entrance. He gasped slightly at the odd feeling when the finger slowly slid inside, before groaning when Xane gave him a particularly hard suck to get his attention off the weird sensation.
Their eye contact finally broke when Xane brushed a certain spot that made Pan moan and arch, almost making him orgasm. His hands clenched at the sheets when a second finger was then added, stretching him and rubbing against that wonderful spot again.
“Ah… I’m c-com.-“ Pan tried to say, before moaning loudly as his orgasm ripped through him. It was nothing like he had ever experienced; stars exploded before his eyes as he arched into the demon’s mouth, his entire body feeling like it was on fire. When the aftershocks finally subsided he slumped into the bed, feeling boneless and exhausted. Pan felt the bed shift slightly as Xane slid his way back up his body, nibbling here and there as he went before capturing the younger male’s mouth in a soft kiss. It took the human a while to respond, but when Pan felt Xane moving his legs, gently opening them a little wider and felt something blunt and hard press at his opening his mind finally snapped back into place.
This was wrong. This wasn’t just wrong, it was extremely wrong. He was laying naked in this strange demon’s bed, who was also naked, though Pan wasn’t exactly sure when that had happened, and they were about to have sex. Pan squirmed a little in the other’s embrace before pushing on Xane’s shoulders with as much strength as he could, which wasn’t much, but Xane seemed to get the idea and pulled away slightly looking down at him perplexed.
“I-I don’t… I’m not…” Pan protested, still pushing against the other’s shoulders. Xane continued to look confused before he finally nodded in understanding, and moving off of the younger male. Pan sat there, looking up to the ceiling for a few seconds when a small pile of clothes suddenly landed on his chest. He picked them up, glad that he would no longer be naked in this strange demon’s house when he noticed that these weren’t his clothes. They weren’t even clothes you’d go outside in, he realized holding up the clothes. The t-shirt he had been given wouldn’t be a problem, but for bottoms the only thing Xane had given him were boxers.
“Wait, where’s my clothes?” Pan asked, glancing over at Xane who was currently ruffling through one of the drawers on the other side of the room, still naked. He stared at the other’s butt when Xane bent over to look in one of the lower drawers, admiring the smooth firmness. “Your clothes smell like beer and smoke, and I don’t want to sleep next to that. So tonight you’re borrowing mine. Don’t worry you’ll be getting your clothes back tomorrow morning.” Xane said offhandedly, finally fishing out a pair of sweat pants, before turning around to face Pan, who quickly turned away, blushing madly. ‘I cannot believe I was just ogling that man’s ass!’ he thought furiously at himself, running his hands through his hair.
He could hear the demon chuckle lightly before he walked out of the room, “Now get dressed, because I don’t think you want to sleep naked with me.”
“S-sleep? I’m not staying here I’m going home!” He argued after Xane’s retreating form, who only chuckled again before heading into another room and shutting the door. He looked down at his proffered clothes for the night and scowled, he wasn’t staying here, no matter what Xane said. Though, when Pan looked around the bedroom he realized he’d have to at least use the clothes he had been given, for his were for some reason no where to be found, and he couldn’t open a single drawer or closet in the entire room, no matter how much he pulled. So now dressed in the boxers and shirt he softly made his way through the house, he could hear water running as he passed the room Xane had disappeared into, it became clear that he had taken a shower, which meant Pan should be able to get a good distance before he realized him missing.
Walking through the silent house he began to see just how large the home was, he must have passed several other rooms before he finally made his way into the living room. The room only even more established his belief that he was in some sort of mansion with its large size and grand style of decorating, though he didn’t have time to truly admire the room, he needed to leave, and soon. Pan headed towards the front door, but when he tried to open it the handle wouldn’t budge. Worried, he started trying the windows, but nothing would open. Now starting to panic a little he headed into the kitchen, trying the door in there locked as well.
“Shit!” Pan cursed, kicking the bottom of the door, cursing again from the pain that shot up his leg. He began to shake the door handle, not caring that if it doesn’t work once it wouldn’t work the twentieth time.
“I told you that you’re sleeping here tonight.”
Pan visibly jumped before turning around to see Xane standing there, arms crossed. Before he could stop himself Pan’s eyes roamed over the demon’s body, taking in his bare chest still slightly damp from the shower, and the sweat pants that rode low on his hips, showing off his lean stomach and muscled chest. He could feel his mouth start to water as he looked on, instinctively wanting to run his hands over the other’s chest, and barely able to restrain himself from doing so.
“Well, come on, I want to go to bed.” Xane said, interrupting Pan’s thoughts, before turning around and heading back towards his room, leaving Pan to stand there, face flaming red.
Finally regaining his composure, Pan glared at the demon’s back, “I’m not staying here.”
Xane paused and looked back at him, “Yes, you are. It’s not safe for you to return home, not yet at least.”
“Safe? What are you talking about?” Pan asked, looking a little worried.
“Don’t you remember? The demon that had interrupted us before, he’s here. Well, not here per se, but waiting out there,” He gestured outside, “for you, I’m guessing. Probably hoping that you’ll do exactly what you were trying to do, and walk out of here on your own, alone, and helpless.”
Pan glanced toward the door and stepped away from it, “How do you know that?” He asked, trying to convince himself that he didn’t sound scared and worried.
“I can sense him, of course. Now let’s go.” Xane once again turned away, but Pan didn’t move.
“Wait, you can sense him? What exactly kind of demon are you?” Pan asked, he knew at least the basics of identifying demons, and Xane didn’t fall into any of the categories he recognized.
Xane paused again and sighed, head falling back and arms collapsing at his sides. “If I tell you, can we finally go to bed? Or do we have to keep playing twenty questions?” He asked exasperated.
Pan hesitated a bit before answering, “Alright, fine. So? What are you?”
The demon turned around to look back at him, grinning, “You really haven’t figured it out yet?” Pan just shook his head, causing the demon to grin wider, “Man, you humans truly are dense aren’t you?” This time Pan glared at him about to argue when Xane cut him off, “I’m a Fire Demon.”
Pan just stared at him, only managing to say, “Huh?”
“You know, Fire Demons? Elementals? Earth, Wind, Fire, Water and all that? Well, I’m a Fire Demon.”
But the human just shook his head, “No, you’re not.”
Xane arched an eyebrow and crossed his arms, “Yes, I am.” He argued.
“No, you’re not. I mean, you can’t be, there’s just no way.” Pan was in complete disbelief; it was just too much of a coincidence.
“Oh? And why can’t I be?” He asked, now grinning again.
“Because… That’s not possible. I just got lectured in front my entire class about how Elementals don’t exist in this area, and how unknown and mysterious they are. There’s no way that I just happen to meet one walking down some random street.” Pan said incredulously.
Xane continued to grin, “Well, sorry to disappoint you, but I am a Fire Demon, and right now I’m a very tired Fire Demon. So, now I’m going to hold you to your promise.” Before Pan could protest he was once again slung over the demon’s shoulder.
“H-hey! I can walk you know!” Pan shouted, struggling to free himself, though, as usual, there was no way to free himself from the other’s grasp, no matter how much he fought.
“Yes, but you were taking to long, so I’m helping you back to the room.” Xane said as he made his way out of the kitchen back towards his bedroom.
“You didn’t even give me a chance!” Pan argued, exasperated, “And why do I have to sleep in your room anyways? It’s not like you’re short on space, I could easily stay in one of the other rooms.”
He could feel Xane shrug beneath him, “You could, but why would I want to give up a chance to sleep with such a cute little human?” Xane rubbed his hand against Pan’s thigh as if to emphasize this.
“Would you stop doing that?! And I am not going to have sex with you!” Pan once again began struggling against the others hold.
“Do you think that if I truly wanted to have sex with you, you’d be able to stop me?” Pan froze at that, suddenly worried, but Xane just chuckled, “That’s what I thought. But don’t worry, I’m not going to rape you or anything.”
“You aren’t?” Pan asked, hopeful.
“No, I’m not. I have never taken my sexual partners by force, and I never intend to.” Xane said seriously. They were now back in Xane’s room, and the demon closed the door behind them, setting Pan down on the left side of the bed before heading over to the other side and climbing in as well.
“Oh, okay.” Pan said awkwardly. Xane leaned over towards Pan, bringing their faces only inches apart and brushing a hand along his cheek, “But, of course, if you do want it, all you have to do is say so.” He said this in a low husky whisper that sent shivers through Pan’s entire body. Coupled with the hand now softly caressing his cheek Pan started to lean forward without realizing, before suddenly snapping out of it and pulling backwards.
“No! I-I don’t want it!” He said forcefully, pushing on Xane’s shoulders. The demon chuckled once again, pulling back to get comfortable on his own side of the bed.
“If that’s the case then, get some sleep. I’m sure you’re tired after such an… eventful evening.” Xane said this with a smirk, rolling over to face opposite of Pan.
Pan glared at the naked back, “Aren’t you going to put a shirt on or something?”
“No, I’m comfortable like this. You should be happy I’m wearing pants, since my usually night time garb is nothing.” Came Xane’s muffled reply.
After another glance to make sure Xane wasn’t going to sudden turn around and ravish him, Pan settled down into the bed, turning away from Xane as he did so. He sat there in silence, trying to fend off sleep until he was certain the other man was asleep as well, but was finding it impossible. The bed was too soft and comfortable, and Xane was right he was tired; actually, it was more like exhausted. And sure enough within a few minutes he fell into a deep slumber.

1. Roughly (very roughly) Gaelic for mouse
Whew, finally done with chapter 1! I hope you all enjoyed my little foray into the world of fantasy. This is one of those stories that have been nagging at me to write it, so I hope it came out well.
As always reviews and ratings are most welcome!
