Poem #3style='font-size:16.0pt'>
Cold, concise movements
Echo throughout the hall
Grease the wheels
Creaking steps
Plastic orange bottles
Filled with metal parts
Stiff composure
Black doll’s eyes
Wires and cogs
Pliers
Coated with blood and grey
fur with yellow feathers
The living machine walks past
To bring forth the fog
The living machine
Inside human’s skin
If you can name the character
and book this poem is talking about, I will give you a virtual cookie. (Hint:
you probably read it in High School)
