Hiding from twilight’s shadow
I look for you
Up high in the marble orchard
Fruits of gold among glass
petals
Searching for a way to bleed
Screams and tears never
accomplish anything
But neither does hope
In an ephemeral world
Emotions are useless
Running towards the crystalline
moonlight
I know you hold the key
If I only knew where the door
leads
You know there is no point to
love
So why are you still
reaching?
A fragile field of daisies is
easily swept up by the ripping wind
I always knew how much weight
the branches could hold
I waited for you to fall from
your perch
Hiding from twilight’s shadow
Running from the pain
I waited an eternity
To no avail
My heart has already chosen
the way it will go
Climbing up a tree of dust
If I falter, I know I will
collide
Your strength leads me on
with a sturdy step
I grasp your hand and look
ahead
To the twilight’s own shadow
Perched on a branch of steel
High above a field of onyx
We await
for the sun to rise
Above to the cobalt sky
