Blood Gate

How the reality seeps through

Through the slits of darkness
brings

And angels sing of hell’s
gate

As the lark drowns in blood

The light is now long
forgotten

When the darkness creeps in

Steals away the innocence

Of the butterflies’ meadow
dim

Metallic red against the
flesh

The dawn is silenced once
again

Yet in the waning onyx

A thin ray pale

Shines on in feeble strength

And on it rides Hope

Bringing peace to the morn

Once again
