Azariel the sorrowful ( a poem)
Azariel the sorrowful
Azariel the sorrowful
An angel from above to fall
Azariel the sorrowful
An angel with wings so dark
Yet listen to his story hark
For no ill deed has he done
Yet still he was shunned
For all he did was see the truth
And to God he told this truth
Yet God did not want to see
So he made Azariel no longer free
He bound him to the earth
Made others think of him like dirt
But ill tell you what he saw that god did not see
He saw a little girl lying bleeding upon the floor
He saw innocents in the eyes of a boy who was broken
He saw a woman standing at the corner of a street
He saw chains and shackles were they were not meant to be
He saw force pain and people who were not free
Azariel the sorrowful
Azariel the sorrowful
An angel who was meant to be
Azariel the sorrowful
Oh oh can’t you see
Despite his wings his wings so dark
His hair as white as the softest blossoms hark
Yet still he was shunned
For god did say with wings like night
That he followed darkness and not light
They didn’t know that black comes from sorrow
Not red as comes from a darkened heart
And despite his pure white hair and so pure heart
They though he belonged to the dark
But Azariel did not morn that he’d been cast out
For now at last he could change what he’d seen
So though his wings are dark He comes to thee
So if an angel comes to you with dark wing
Ask him his name before you scream
For if it is Azariel let him heal you
If you see and angel with dark dark wings and bright bright hair
Remember this song and let him heal you.
