Lost Love
Lost Love
The day was dreary,
And I started to feel weary.
When I saw my beautiful wife,
I knew that this was the life.
We went outside.
The rain pounded on our hides.
As we flew into the car,
I knew we couldn’t get far.
The rain roared,
And the tree branches soared.
The windows were blurred,
And the car went off the curve.
We crashed into a tree.
I couldn’t seem to get her free.
I smelled some gas,
And knew there would be a blast.
I ran from the car,
Trying to get away from the char.
I turned and looked at the blaze,
And was left staring in a daze.
My heart felt hollow,
And I couldn’t seem to swallow.
When help came,
To drench the flames
There was nothing they could do,
But I knew I was through.
After weeks had gone by,
All I wanted to do was die.
So I got a razor blade,
And was not afraid.
I went to my bed.
The sheets started to turn blood red.
As the blood spread,
Throughout my deathbed.
I smiled in felicity.
Remembering her caress for eternity.
I could see only darkness.
In my alertness,
I suddenly hear voices
And wicked noises.
I hear my dear.
Whispering in my ear.
All this time I thought she’d be in heaven,
With her father Evan.
I frowned
And was astound.
When she told me her sins,
They felt like pins.
She had an affair!
My eyes started to tear.
I knew that I count not bare,
The dishonest life we had shared.
I felt a sharp pain,
And knew this was all in vain.
I took a sharp breath
And escaped the death.
When I was released from my medical confinement,
I looked at the trees in amazement.
They seemed to be dancing,
Coming forth, and amassing.
I closed my eyes
Remembering the lies
And gave a demented smile.
They pulled out my files.
I went to a trial.
All I remember were the tiles.
They put me in this place
That had a lot of mace.
They put me in a warm embrace
And placed me in a white encase.
The walls and floors were padded.
My hair was very matted.
If they only knew,
That I haven’t lost my screw!
