A soft cry broke the fragile darkness that encompassed the small bedroom that Hyde had taken for himself. The airship was large, but he had chosen one of the smaller rooms. His eyes closed for a long moment and he struggled with the images in his head.

He nearly jumped out of his skin when the small form next to him stirred and a soft, sleepy voice murmured his name “Hyde?” Soft indigo eyes shined at him through the darkness as the Dark Summon pushed himself up a little, looking sleepy but curiously at him.

“It’s nothing,” Hyde bit out gruffly, shifting and laying back down. He rolled on his side, his back facing Erebus and he stared off into the darkness. The smaller man had been coming to him, seeking comfort from the hurt Lana had inflicted on his already fragile soul. In truth, Hyde didn’t have the heart to turn away the broken soul and gave him the comfort he sought…both physical and emotional.

“Liar,” Erebus called his bluff out right, the smaller man shifting so that his body cradled Hyde’s and soft kisses were pressed to the back of the silver-haired man’s neck. His fingers gently traced down Hyde’s spine, causing the man to arch away from the touch. “What’s wrong? Did you have a nightmare?”

I figured you needed a little reciprocation after all the comfort you’ve given me.” He sighed softly, sleep starting to overtake him and he rolled into Hyde’s side a little more as he drifted off with that simple explanation.

Hyde stayed awake for a little while after his tiny lover fell into an exhausted, but sated, sleep. The words he said melted a little of that ice around his heart and he smiled softly, turning his head to kiss the top of the Dark Summon’s head. “Thank you,” He murmured, settling in to sleep.
