Happiness And Reliefe

Sika was walking from the store. It was a very hot and sunny day, but it changed. With the blink of an eye, black clouds blocked the sun. Looking more midnight then day, fortunately no rain came. About too continue walking, she heard a whimper. Glancing around she couldn't see anything until something moved. Focusing her eyes she saw it was a little girl, maybe four or five year old

“Hi sweetie. What are you doing out here?”
But she just growled at Sika while backing up, then the lights came on above them. And Sika saw that the girl was snarling, with two prominent shiny fangs. Cluing in, Sika knelled on one knee and held out her wrist

“Are you hungry? I won’t hurt you.”
Slowly the girl came over to Sika. Once she got to Sika she looked at her then her wrist

“Go on sweetheart it’s ok.”
Only hesitating once the girl sat on Sika’s knee, then bit until it bled. It stung at first but went numb quick, she stroked the girls hair asking

“So how did you get out here?’’
Sika started too get light headed when the girl stopped and answered in a whisper

“I don’t know. I was playing and then I was out here and the sun was out. I was scared, then the sun went away and you showed up.”
Smiling at the girl Sika wiped her mouth and stood up

“Well let’s get you too my place I don’t think the clouds will stay for long.”
With hands together they headed for Sika’s house

“My name’s Sika, what’s yours?”

“Mina is my name.”
After a couple minutes they reached her place. Ushering Mina to a spot, where the sun didn’t reached

“Ok just sit here and I’ll cover the windows.”
Compiling she sat on the stairs, after grabbing a porcelain doll off a corner table. The dress was orange and white in an old country fashion and the skirt was checkered, her hair was a blonde almost white

“She’s pretty Sika.”

“Thanks her name is Inara.”
While Mina played with the doll Sika taped garbage bags to the windows. As soon as she finished Sika saw the sun come out through the bags and she went to the couch

“So do you have any way too contact your family?”
Holding the doll, Mina looked thoughtful

“We have a phone.”
Sika laughed a little

“High tech vampires huh? Ok so can I have the number and who too talk with?”

“Ask for Masen and tell them it’s about his sister.”
Once Mina gave her the number Sika dialed and waited not expecting how the person answered

“WHO IS THIS?! HOW THE HELL’D YOU GET THIS NUMBER?!!”
Sika rolled her eyes making Mina giggle

“WHAT WAS THAT?!!”
Exasperated Sika snapped at the person

“LISTEN! JUST PUT MASEN ON THE PHONE! TELL HIM IT’S ABOUT HIS SISTER!!”

“YOU’RE THE ONE THAT KIDNAPPED HER!!”
For Sika outraged was putting it only mildly and she started too yell louder

“HELLS NO!! I FOUND HER!! LET ME TALK TOO MASEN, RIGHT NOW!!!”
Hearing feet shuffle she looked at Mina and smiled weakly, then she heard

“Hello? You have my sister, correct?”

“Yes, she is fine. I let her drink from me when I met her and covered the windows. Right now she is playing with some toys.”
There was a long silence, enough too think her phone died on her

“Well it’s good too know someone is caring for her. I am glad you found her, before her defense ran out.”

“What is her defense?”

“If she is caught in the sunlight, her powers activate and clouds block the sun. but it only lasts twenty minutes.”

“I see that is very handy. So when should I expect you too pick her up?”

“About midnight is when we can get her. She will need too eat by then.”

“Yeah that’s not a problem. How about we met at Keke park? I’ll take her there too play a hour before the meet.”

“I am sure she will like that very much. I shall meet you there.”

“Did you want too talk to her?”

“Yes please.”

“Alright, here you go sweetie.”
She passed the phone to mina, who looked confused because she had not listen to the conversation

“Hello brother, yes I’m fine, yes I will eat. Good bye brother.”
Passing the phone back to Sika, she continued playing with Inara and the other toys Sika brought out. It made her wonder why Mina acted like a normal child with her, but sounding robotic while talking to her brother. An hour later Sika’s mother came home, half yelling

“What the hell?!”
When she saw the house, Sika turned to Mina

“Sounds like mom’s home. You better get to the stairs, so you don’t get the sun.”
Sika opened the door and her mom stared at her

“Have you gone insane? Why’d you cover the windows?”
Sighing Sika pushed her mother aside so she could close the door

“We have a visitor that’s photo sensitive and the reason they’re covered.”
With the door was securely shut and locked Sika called Mina

“Ok sweetie, you can come out now.”
The way Mina poked her head around the corner and stared at Sika’s mom was too hilarious for Sika not too laughed

“You silly goose. This is my mom, Alice. Say hello Mina.”

“Hello.”

“Hi.”
Replied Alice, Sika moved passed them and sat on the couch Mina following her. A few hours passed by quickly with Mina cuddled on Sika’s lap watching TV. Suddenly she looked at Sika, saying

“I’m hungry.”

“Ok sweetie, just a second. Mom I am going too warn you, she doesn’t eat food. She drinks blood.”
So she held out her wrist and Mina drank from her, with Alice watching stunned. Finally Mina pulled back and Sika wiped her mouth, then Mina quickly fell asleep on her

“Before eleven I am going too take Mina to the park. We will then met up with her brother. Depending on what happens, I may or may not be back before you wake up so don’t worry.”
Stroking Mina’s hair Sika watched the TV again, Alice went too bed a hour later and a couple hours passed it was eleven and time too wake Mina

“Hey little one it’s time too wake up and go to the park. You can play some before your brother comes, but we got to go now.”
Mina stretched and looked around lazily before yawning

“What time is it?”

“It’s eleven now when we get to the park it will be eleven thirty, so you can play some before Masen comes.”

“YAY!!!”
After shushing Mina, Sika hoped it didn’t wake her mother up or any one else. Once ready they left, talking on the way. Finally they reached it and Mina ran to a slide, sliding once before running for the swings while giggling

“Push me!”
When finished laughing Sika walked over to Mina and began too push her, suddenly a man screamed

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THE PRINCESS HUMAN?!!!”
Mina jumped off the swing and hid behind Sika

“ I was pushing her on the swing, until you scared her.”

“AS IF THE PRINCESS WOULD LET A MERE HUMAN TOO PLAY WITH HER!!!”

“Sika, make him leave. I don’t like him.”
Whined Mina

“You heard her, leave. Now!”

“A HUMAN WENCH LIKE YOU! CAN NOT ORDER ME AROUND! I AM TAKING THE PRINCESS AND KILLING YOU FOR TAINTING HER!”
Mina screamed and ran behind a bush, Sika ducked as the man swiped his razor sharp claws at her. Pulling out a pocket knife Sika got in a defensive position, and the man laughed evilly

“Do you think a little knife like that, would be able too hurt me?”

“It doesn’t need too. Just stall you long enough for Masen too come get her, and punish you for scaring her.”

“Like that will happen, he will thank me for saving her.”
Again the man swiped at her, this time she sliced her throat. Causing a gurgled from him, she watched him slump to the ground and then Mina yelled

“BROTHER!”
Turning around she saw Mina run out of the bush and scramble to a young man behind four others, two of the men stopped her. One of the men scolded with a condescending tone

“You are too dirty princess, we will not have you dirty the prince as well. You know the rules.”
Tears dropped from Mina’s eyes as she ran too Sika, and Sika hugged her tightly

“You stupid men. Princess or not, she’s only a child and needs love and affection. Would you have her grow too hate you and run away when older?”

“See how much you taint her human? You are not worthy too live.”
Menacing words came from behind Sika, then everything went slow motion. From Mina screaming and starring in shock, too the searing pain. That slowly took hold in her neck, from where the man viciously bit her. Very slowly she collapsed onto her knees. Everything became blurry and muffled, but she could make out Mina crying
