Sunshine

Sunshine
When I close my eyes, you are all that I see,
In my dreams and in my day,
Baby, you are everywhere to me,
Here in my arms, you should stay,
Here I’ll forever be, holding you so close, so tenderly.

I never saw the sunlight,
Rising in the dawn.
I never saw the sight,
Of a new day being born.

I never heard the birds,
Sing such a saintly chorus.
Blackbirds, songbirds, lovebirds,
Singing all before us.

When I close my eyes, you are all that I see,
In my dreams and in my day,
Baby, you are everywhere to me,
Here in my arms, you should stay,
Here I’ll forever be, holding you so close, so tenderly.

Now you are here baby,
I see such wondrous colours,
And now, maybe, just maybe,
I’ll stay covered in such colours.

I never knew the joyous sun
Chasing night-time’s shadow.
It seems my life has begun
When you walked into my life, you know.

When I close my eyes, you are all that I see,
In my dreams and in my day,
Baby, you are everywhere to me,
Here in my arms, you should stay,
Here I’ll forever be, holding you so close, so tenderly.

But thought the sun is shining outside,
Darling you have to know,
That till I can be with you,
I’ll always be in the shadow.
