~*~*~*
It was a cold night, much like any other. The snow was falling heavy outside, and the whistle of the wind was blowing through the window, calling out a lonely tune.
A young girl named Kaya, lay in bed beside her fiancée contemplating the past few days. He had been so distant lately. Lying at every turn, and turning everything he did around, so that be her fault. It hurt her so much, because he had no clue how much she cared about him… and how much of a curse it was for her to do so. So much heart ach had occured between them, and yet she couldn’t let him go. There were too many memories; Happy and sad. There was just so much history. She couldn't let him go, and yet, she knew in her heart she HAD to. It was the only thing that she could do to keep her self sane.
She turned to the man beside her, sleeping. His sandy coloured hair was mussed and tangled in the cutest way. She smiled at him in spite of her self. She still loved him. More then he would ever know. She couldn't help but smile when she thought of him...But then her smile faded. She began to remember all the things he did. All the pain he caused her. A couple tears began to sting her eyes. That was when he began to stir.
“mmMMm..Kaya?”
She looked at him as his eyes slowly began to open.
“Yes?”
“…What time is it?...” He asked her, still partially dazed from sleep.
“It’s about 9:00…”
He sat up, rubbed his eyes and checked the clock for him self. He then lied back down and looked at her. His face looked concerned. He knew when she was upset, and often times he would either ask her why, or he would ignore it. When he asked her why, if she told him, he would dismiss it as unimportant, and thus, they would get into a fight. If he ignored it, the fight could be temporarily avoided. So this time, he chose to ignore it.
She leaned in and kissed his forehead softly, trying to will away the tears before he saw them. Her tears were something all too familiar to him in the past few days. No, make that months. But he refused to believe that it was his doing that made her like this. Hence why he often ignored when she was upset. In his mind, he was never the one at fault, and this was the main cause of Kaya's sadness, although Kaya wasn't the only one to be upset by it.
“You seemed a bit odd earlier today hon. What’s up?” She asked him.
He didn’t say anything; he just kind of looked away.
“Tell me. I know there is something you aren’t telling me. You can’t lie to me, you KNOW this. I always know…” She trailed off.
“Nothing. I’m fine.” He replied shortly with her.
Annoyed, she decided to press one more time.
“Tell me what’s bothering you?”
He was silent. A few moments passed, and Kaya got up.
“Ok… Fine...I wont press.” She headed for the door to go into the computer room, when he called her back.
“Wait... Come here please?” She paused at the door and turned around and looked at him. His hand was outstretched, as if to take hers.. But slowly dropped when it appeared she was not coming. She then took two steps forward to the bed. At this, he once again raised his hand to take hers but she just sat on the edge of the bed instead.
“…You can’t be freaking out and getting upset over stupid stuff anymore..” He said, plainly.
“..It’s not stupid. But if you think it is, then there is nothing I can do about it.” She replied to him. He then gave her a look and said to her,
“You can’t do this anymore. I am sick of it!” His tone was kind of angry.
She glanced at him, and then turned her head away. She could feel those tears coming back.
“I haven’t been acting any different. I can’t help it if you make me upset. I can’t help how I FEEL ok?!! So I wont be freaking out at you anymore, but if you want the truth, that wont stop me from being upset.”
“But it’s over dumb things. So I like to look at other women. So what? I wouldn’t ever do anything with them. So why does it matter? You shouldn’t get upset over stupid things like that.”
He was getting angry now at her, but she could feel her own anger building.
“Fine then. I’ll just bottle it all up so you won’t have to see it. I can’t tell you how I feel because you will just get mad at me for it anyway. So why does it matter? Don’t worry; you won’t have to see me get upset anymore. I’ll just keep it to my self.”
Kaya was crying at this point and didn’t care if he saw. Her pain was to great. After everything he did to her, he still felt it was her fault.
“You’re being dumb! Why does it bother you? You shouldn’t have such low self esteem.” He said.
“You are the one that made me that way! It’s because I don’t trust you and I can’t help that either. I keep finding all these reasons not to. Like you lying about the naked pictures of women on your computer, or the Adult Friends website. Lots of things! That’s a cheaters website where people go, to fool around on their spouses and girlfriends etc. What the hell am I supposed to think?”
He got really mad at her at this point, and he simply replied.
“You have to trust me! I would NEVER do anything with someone else. You just have to trust me! You keep bringing that up, when I never did ANYTHING wrong! I didn't!!”
“The fact you think that it’s ok to go looking is what you did wrong.... I can’t trust you.”
“THEN IT’S NOT GOING TO WORK THEN!!” He said, and started to cry. He stormed out of the room, and began to get ready for work.
Kaya said nothing; she just lay on her bed, numb. The tears stopped for some reason. She wanted to cry, but she couldn’t. It hurt, almost worse then anything else he did to her. His rustling and getting ready continued for a few minutes but when she heard the door close, her tears started again, this time a flood gate. Hard wrenched sobs into her pillow. He was the one who left her. She didn’t understand why it hurt so badly. This was exactly what she needed and yet, she felt like her soul had just died.
When she finally calmed down, she pulled her self up and sat at the computer. She was planning to visit her parents place that weekend, and needed to get away from that hell, so she logged on to her online messenger and decided to vent her anger and sadness to some friends.
~Maybe they can help me feel better.~ She thought as she logged in.
*Kaya-Chan is logging in…*
*You have 4 friends online*
She stared at the screen for a few moments appearing offline, contemplating what to say, but then decided to mark her self appearing online. That’s when her friend Akito-Chan messaged her.
*Akito-Chan: Did you two get home ok?*
Kaya smiled. He was a good friend to her. She had seen him earlier that day, when her and her fiancée were heading out to the local arcade for some fun. Akito had called her up, asking what she was doing that day, and she happily replied she was not busy.
Her hunny didn’t really feel like going to the mall with her. His plans were set weather she came with him or not, so she said she would meet up with him afterwards. At Kennedy Station they split up for a while, so while her fiancée went to the arcade, she and Akito went to the Town Mall.
She spent the better portion of the morning with Akito, and it was a nice change from the constant tension and stress she was under. It was just to bad that it didn't last very long.
*Kaya-Chan: Yes, we got home just fine….*
They had chatted during that day, from the moment they reached the mall, and he could see that she was stressed the moment he laid eyes on her. He offered to take her to Lush, so she could relax a bit, and she gladly accepted his kindness. They walked to the store, and a wave of warm pleasant smells greeted her nose. After about 15 minutes, the flood gate of problems opened and she vented everything that was going on in her life to him. Now here she sat, her problems maybe ten times worse then they were that morning and once again he was there to comfort her. How coincidental.
*Akito-Chan: Your manner of typing seems off. You alright? I get the feeling you are upset still.*
Kaya stared at the screen for a few moments before typing. Should she burden him farther with what’s going on in her life?
*Kaya-Chan: He left me…*
*Akito-Chan: What?! Why?*
*Kaya-Chan: Because I was honest and told him I didn’t trust him…And it hurts so bad Aki-chan, why wont it stop?*
The tears again began to come, but she stopped them before they fell. She refused to cry anymore. The break up was what was best for her. He just saved her the trouble of having to do it her self. It WAS what she was planning to do eventually to him, after all.
*Akito-Chan: Oh Kaya, I am so sorry to hear that… But you know, I don’t want to sound cruel but, it was a long time coming. You said so you’re self.*
*Kaya-Chan: Yes I know. ..I shared so much with you. I just really wanted someone to understand me. He doesn’t Aki-chan, and I don’t think he ever will. But you... You seem to have so much in common with me. Morally and spiritually. It’s as if we have some sort of connection.*
*Akito-Chan: I know what you mean all too well.*
Again she smiled. He was good at making her do that.
*Kaya-Chan: I just feel so lonely.. But it will get better.
*Akito-Chan: You are right. It will. ^_^ *
Akito and Kaya continued to talk for hours. They went over everything that happened with her, and talked about all kinds of things that were going on in his life too. Kaya began to feel a lot better. It was short lived though, because around 2 am, she received a phone call.
*Kaya-Chan: Oh! The phone! I’ll be right back.*
She almost didn’t want to answer it. She knew who it was going to be, and she wasn’t really in the mood for fighting with him again. He left her. Now why not leave her alone about it. Against her better judgement though, she picked up the phone.
“Hello?” She said groggy sounding. Having not said anything aloud since their fight, Kaya was startled at her voice. It almost sounded foren to her. Then she figured maybe it would serve him right to hear how upset he made her.
“Kaya? I am sorry, alright? I didn’t mean it.”
Silence. He broke her heart in two again, and expected her to just, take him back, just like that? How dare he…
“..uhuh..Yeah…ok then..”
“No really I am sorry. I will take you out tomorrow for breakfast ok? I don’t like seeing you cry.”
“It’s a little late for that now, isn’t it? ..I am going back to mum and dads for the weekend. Sorry, no dinner outing.”
“I’ll make it up to you, I promise.”
“Don’t worry about it. I got to go ok?”
“Wait! I didn't mean it. I love you… And I’ll make it up to you I swear.”
“Yeah.. I know… But I can't talk right now. I love you too..” ~And it will be the death of me I swear~ She added in thoughts as she hung up the phone.
She walked back to the computer and immediately told Akito what he wanted.
*Akito-Chan: So he wants you back hmm. Don’t do it. It’s not a good idea. You were planning on getting out of this relationship anyway, why walk back into it?*
*Kaya-Chan: I know. I am not. He might think I am, but I really am not. I am just trying to avoid a fight.*
*Akito-Chan: Well so long as you know.*
More time passed and Kaya realized how late the clock was ticking. It was already 4 am. She figured she would decide to call it a night. She had a big day a head of her, and was looking forward to some time away from here.. away from HIM. She got off the pc after wishing Aki-chan a good night, and then proceeded to crawl into bed. Sleep weighed heavy on her eye lids and soon she felt her self drift off into dream land… Little did she know, she was not alone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Light.
Light was all she could see, and it surrounded her, enveloping her in its warm embrace. She smiled to her self. It felt so calm.
“I know this place…” She said into the solitude.
The light then began to expand. It shot out around from her and she could almost make out the form of someone. Then he stepped into the light; a young boy, about 11 or 12 years old.
“…who are you?” Kaya asked. The boy then smiled at her warmly, to which she smiled back. Then to her surprised, he ran up to her and gave her a hug.
~ I feel like I know you…~ She thought and hugged the young man back.
There were many possibilities who the boy could be, but she knew it couldn’t be Seth.
Seth was her unborn son. Yet another one of the pains her loving fiancée put her through. He had gotten her pregnant about a year and a half ago, and once Kaya told him, he became almost demanding of her.
Kaya had been scared. She had never carried a child before, and knew she was not ready for kids, and she cried a lot about it, in worry. One would expect the father of the child to support the mother in her decision making process, but all he did was just complain that she couldn’t go on the roller coasters at Wonderland, or be annoyed that she was sick all the time. He even said to her, “You are over reacting! This isn’t as big a deal as you make it.” This only farther upset her.
On the day of surgery, where she had to terminate the child, he wasn’t even there. His work was more important. She had to go through that entire time alone. It was hell.
Seth had visited her dreams many nights the following year. He looked like his father a lot, but had his mother’s nose. She loved her unborn son, and only wished he hadn’t come to her as early as he did in life.
The boy hugging her however, was a different boy. He had darker hair, and darker eyes then her blue eyed son she knew and loved. And yet she still felt as if she knew him.
Suddenly, someone else caught her attention. The boy turned around to look who it was, and when he saw, he smiled again in recognition.
Seth was standing off to the side slightly, but that wasn’t who the boy was looking at. There was someone else behind him.
As Seth side stepped out of the way, Kaya’s jaw almost dropped. She knew him too.
Akito-san.
He stood there looking at her, almost as if he didn’t know who she was. She had never seen him so clearly as she had in that moment, and it was amazing. His hair was a little mussed, but yet still suited him. His eyes were filled with such a strong energy. They almost glowed. The ambers, golds and browns were shining so clearly. There was something within them she could not place, but she knew she had to find out what it was. He was hansom. He was like no one she has ever seen before. It was almost as if the world stopped as she got lost in his eyes.
“Akito-chan? Wha-”
*Flash*
The light from the morning sun was pouring through her window. The clock read 10:30 AM. The blizzard had stopped and it was morning already. What a strange dream. What could it have meant?
Kaya could only sit and wonder… Just as her fiancée walked in the door.
Alright everyone, there is chapter 1 for you. I know I usually don’t write stories and post them unfinished, but I felt as if this was a good place to leave off. I apologise for cutting it off before it gets hot, but I want to build on my characters a little bit before I go into the intimate part of why she is dreaming the way she is.
To answer a few questions anyone may have, yes everything in this chapter happened. The person, who I placed as Kaya’s fiancée, isn’t really the greatest boyfriend to her, but that doesn’t make him a bad person, as you will find out in later chapters. I omitted his name for confidential reasons, as some people who know him read on this website, and I didn’t want them to be offended for sharing such private moments in their relationship.
EDIT: I will be leaving this story be for a while, as I fell that a second chapter is unnessesary. If any of you review me to continue this, I might add more chapters in future, but until then, consider the story finished.
I own all the characters in this fan fiction except for those mentioned below. If you want to use them just ask.
“Akito-chan? Wha-”
*Flash*
The light from the morning sun was pouring through her window. The clock read 10:30 AM. The blizzard had stopped and it was morning already. What a strange dream. What could it have meant?
Kaya could only sit and wonder… Just as her fiancée walked in the door.
Alright everyone, there is chapter 1 for you. I know I usually don’t write stories and post them unfinished, but I felt as if this was a good place to leave off. I apologise for cutting it off before it gets hot, but I want to build on my characters a little bit before I go into the intimate part of why she is dreaming the way she is.
To answer a few questions anyone may have, yes everything in this chapter happened. The person, who I placed as Kaya’s fiancée, isn’t really the greatest boyfriend to her, but that doesn’t make him a bad person, as you will find out in later chapters. I omitted his name for confidential reasons, as some people who know him read on this website, and I didn’t want them to be offended for sharing such private moments in their relationship.
EDIT: I will be leaving this story be for a while, as I fell that a second chapter is unnessesary. If any of you review me to continue this, I might add more chapters in future, but until then, consider the story finished.
