I Trust You
A stunning blond stood outside the bathroom, staring the closed door with radiant blue eyes, the only thing out of the ordinary about him were the small horns on his head, acting as the only physical indicator that he was, in fact, not human. His name was Ril and he was an incubus, a demon of seduction that fed off of the life force given off by a person during moments of pleasure. Not but two weeks ago, he’d been content with wandering, visiting the odd group that he called some of his better friends every so often. Now, after finding Naito, one of said friends, out at night, walking around with a pale skinned, pointy eared boy that was introduced to him only as Moses, he’d found himself drawn back to his group of friends. Though not because of Moses, no, not that specific enigma, but because of another mysterious individual there. He closed his eyes for a moment, the conversation he’d had almost two weeks earlier running through his head, he remembered everything exactly as though he was living it all over again.
He’d accompanied Moses and Naito back home, finding two of the somewhat newer arrivals out on the porch, one looking bored and tired, the other looking content with watching the sun rising.
“are you finished yet?” Vexen, the tired and bored one of the duo asked, looking at the smaller, younger, one sitting on the front steps. There hadn’t been anything spectacular about the boy, silverish-blue hair, bangs hanging down to cover his right eye, pale, smooth skin, and blue eyes that were as cold and fierce as they were somehow innocent and childlike in a way. He was small, slender, and dressed in an outfit that Ril had categorized as “gothic-slut”.
“No. The sun’s not up yet.” he’d responded, glancing at Vexen over his shoulder for a second.
“Hello, Vexen, Zexion.” Ril said, he’d met them both once or twice before, knew that both had rather tortured lives since they’d lost their hearts. Though Zexion had been by far the most damaged of the two of them. Ril had seen the scars covering the young Nobody, though he normally hid them under an illusion, making it look as though he didn’t have a mark on him. He hid it well, not just the scars but just how damaged he really was in general. Vexen sighed heavily, shaking his head a bit.
“I could be in bed. I could be sleeping right now.” he said as Naito and Moses snuck inside quickly, neither did well in the sun, “but no, he wanted to watch the sunrise and who does he drag along with him? Not Bobby, not Xigbar, but me.”
“I’ll sit out here with him if you want to go back to bed for a bit, Vexen.” Ril had offered, “and I won’t even snack off you.”
“You have no idea just how grateful I am for that.” Vexen said, then he’d disappeared inside. Ril sat down next to Zexion, he honestly didn’t know the Nobody very well, and at times he thought even the other Nobodies he was alright with didn’t know a lot about him. There was a while of awkward silence before the conversation slowly kicked into gear. Zexion, though he, at multiple points during the conversation, admitted he had no idea why he was saying half the things he did, had opened up quite a bit, discussing his past life as Ienzo, how drastically he’d changed, and even the copious amounts of abuse that had changed him so, made him actually despise who he had once been, though he hadn't said completely why he hated who he once was as much as he did. Ril himself had also opened up to the Nobody, confessing something he’d never shared with anyone, Zexion now knew of the act of ultimate betrayal Ril’s father had committed, and he in turn told Ril where his hate for the boy he’d once been stemmed from. From the fact that he’d trusted the man that had brutally robbed him of his innocence not even six months after they’d lost their hearts. They now knew each other’s darkest secrets. And somehow, from just that one conversation, Ril had earned the trust of the Cloaked Schemer, a feat that was rarely accomplished. He took some pride in that knowledge.
Now, not even two weeks later, he’d learned just how loyal and resilient the petit illusionist really was. Thanks to Zexion, Ril had finally gathered the resolve to convince his mother to come stay with him and the group he was now living with, though Zexion, who was one of the three people that accompanied him, had done a majority of the talking in the end, and had coaxed Ril through not having a breakdown when his father showed up for a moment, though he hadn’t noticed his son or the three strangers in his house, only passing by the room they were in twice, once coming, the next going. A few days later, Ril’s mother safe and away from her husband, again, thanks to Zexion, Ril had finally confronted his father. Though the circumstances had been far different than just watching him pass by in the hall. Two of the group’s demon exterminator friends had showed up one night, requesting Zexion’s services in finding an incubus they were attempting to do in. Everyone that knew about Ril’s family situation had done the math rather fast and Zexion had agreed to help them, through the use of his peculiar sense of smell. Ril had accompanied them, they met up with two other exterminators, and the group of five had followed Zexion’s directions until they’d finally found Ril’s father, but at a rather high cost.
They’d had another Nobody, a friend of Vexen and Zexion’s, Xigbar, take Ril’s mother to The World That Never Was, knowing only Nobodies and/or Heartless had the ability to get to that world. Zexion had been in the lead when they’d stopped, Ril’s father had gone against the norm, and taken a hostage. And by the time Ril had caught up with him, it had been too late to bring Zexion back undamaged. Ril wasn’t sure how much of it was a lie and how much of it was the truth, but as he and his father fought, he was told that the only reason Zexion had been injured as severely as he was was because he’d refused to betray Ril and his mother, that life-threatening loyalty of his was almost the death of him, would have been had their friend Cole not been there to heal injuries, on both Zexion and Ril. The only one that hadn’t walked away from that fight had been Ril’s father.
And now, almost an hour later, after Zexion had regained consciousness, Ril felt inclined to apologize to him, and thank him. That thought in mind, he knocked on the door, early hearing the quiet “what?” Zexion had uttered as a response to he knock. He opened the door, a cloud of steam drifting out, and stepped into the room, closing the door behind himself, leaning against the wall next to the clouded glass door to the shower. After a long moment of silence, he finally spoke up.
“Zexion,” he said, “I just....well, I-I wanted to apologize, for what happened before, for what my father did.”
There was another long moment of silence, then Zexion spoke, quietly, hesitantly.
“He....thought we were sleeping together.” he said, “that’s why he.....” he choked on the words, but managed to get them out, “that’s why he raped me...to hurt you....”
Zexion was accustomed to being used, hurt, then tossed aside until the next time someone needed to vent their sexual frustrations on him, and it hadn’t hurt him as much as this time had, because even though he had no heart, even though he lacked true emotions, somehow, he’d found himself slowly falling for the incubus that he had so much in common with. And he felt a stinging in his non-existent heart when he heard the bathroom door open and close as Ril left without saying another word to him.
About an hour later, when he’d finally run out of hot water, he turned the shower off, stepping out of it and picking up the small black robe he’d brought in with him, pulling it on his still wet body. It was short, coming up a little higher than mid-thigh, even the sleeves were somewhat short, three-quarter length or so. He knew it didn’t make sense to people that knew about his past, why he’d dress provocatively, somewhat scantily, if the last thing he wanted was attention of any kind. He always responded the same “this is how I like to dress. So what?”
When he got to his room, closing the door behind him, he noticed something on the table by the window, an envelope, a plain white envelope, that he was sure hadn’t been there before. He draped the towel he’d grabbed over his shoulders and picked up the envelope, opening it and pulling out a piece of paper with a rather short message on it, he sighed, picking up his reading glasses, putting them on and reading the note. “Meet me in my room later on tonight, if you trust me. -Ril” he stared at it for a long moment, then took his glasses off, setting them back down and staring at the note again. He looked out the window, the moon was up already, the sky dark and blanketed with stars. He sighed, <“if you trust me”...> he thought, did he trust Ril? Yes, that was why he’d been as loyal as he had before. But....did he trust Ril to that point? To that extreme? After those six years of promising himself he’d never let anyone get close to him again, not only shying away from but dreading any kind of contact, and trying his damndest to never trust anyone again, could he open up to someone that much? He’d only actually known Ril for about two weeks, he’d met him before then but they’d never actually gotten to know each other, that wasn’t nearly long enough for him to jump in bed with the guy, was it? Then again, Ril had been hurt too, that would mean he wouldn’t turn on Zexion at all, wouldn’t it? It hadn’t taken even five minutes for Ril to get Zexion to trust him, to risk his life for him, but still... he looked outside again, watching the moon through a hazy layer of clouds that moved in while he was lost in thought. Did he trust an incubus enough to risk being hurt again?
Ril looked away from the window in his room when he heard the door open and close, somewhat surprised to see Zexion standing there, still somewhat wet from his shower earlier, in a short black robe, watching Ril quietly. Ril couldn’t help but smile, walking over to stand in front of the smaller, somehow fragile looking Nobody, he had to look down to meet Zexion’s eyes, still smiling at him.
“You actually came.” he said, “I didn’t think you would.”
Zexion leaned back against the door, unsure of what to do, he wasn’t used to having a say in the whole process.
“In all honesty, I wasn’t originally going to.” he admitted. Ril reached out, pulling him close, tilting his chin up gently, leaning down closer to him, stopping only centimeters away from his lips.
“I’m glad you did.” he whispered. He hesitated again, the look in Zexion’s eyes was almost enough to make him rethink the entire thing. He was begging, pleading, with everything he had in him, silently, with his eyes alone, for Ril not to hurt him, not to break his heart and make him regret trusting someone again. And it only took one small gesture to prove to Zexion that he hadn’t made a mistake in trusting Ril. One heated, passionate and slightly possessive kiss was all it took to put his mind at ease. Ril had told him once, after he’d commented on feeling childish about wanting to save his first kiss for someone who would actually appreciate it, that for a demon of seduction, sex may be a way of life, but kissing normally wasn’t part of the deal, it was a sign of true trust. And if a kiss was a display of trust, then it seemed Ril trusted his soon-to-be-lover quite a bit.
Zexion gave a tiny yelp when he was pinned against the door he’d been leaning against with one of Ril’s legs jammed up between his own, the tie on the robe was loosed and the robe itself pushed open, his first thought was to feel some kind of shame as he was eyed up, in any and all sexual situations in the past, the shame and humiliation had been almost overwhelming and eventually were an automatic response. But, unlike the previous experiences, when he shut his eyes as Ril reached out to touch him, he wasn’t met with force, or pain, only a soft caress on his cheek, followed by an even softer kiss, gentle, even innocent in a way, harmless enough for him to allow it to deepen, parting his lips when he felt a tongue run along his bottom lip, requesting entrance. He wrapped his arms around Ril’s neck when the incubus pulled him close again, though he was on his toes as he did so. After a few moments of allowing Ril’s tongue to explore his mouth, he had to stand with his feet flat on the floor again, giving Ril a slightly sour look when he heard him laugh a bit at this.
“Sorry.” Ril said, still grinning in some amusement, “you know, whether you do it on purpose or not, you’re way too cute.” he gave a short laugh when the Nobody blushed and half-pout half-glared at him.
“I’m not cute.” he insisted. “Cute is a term for girls or children. I am neither of those two.”
“Ah, but you’re still cute. Especially when you’re blushing.” Ril said, making the blush darken a shade. “Alright, since vertical isn’t working...” Zexion yelped again when he was swept off his feet and into Ril’s arms, “we’ll try horizontal instead.” he said as he deposited Zexion on the bed carefully. He stood back and watched for a moment as he seemed to need to regroup after figuring out he was on someone else’s bed. When it seemed he was relaxed again, Ril sat on the edge of the bed, running his fingers through Zexion’s hair. “If you’re having second thoughts, we can wait. You don’t have to do this if you don’t think you’re ready.” he said, he and Zexion shared some of the same pains, though he’d figured out earlier on that Zexion was far more damaged than he himself was, more frequently, by more people as well. This had left him terrified of letting anyone get close to him, or of any kind of contact. He’d opened up to Ril though, had even allowed Ril to prove to him that not all contact had a hidden motive or promised pain. He shook his head a bit, that unintentionally cute smile he sometimes had was on his face.
“I trust you...I want this.” he said, knowing full well that Ril knew how rare it was to hear him say those words, and just how important those three words, ‘I trust you’, were when he used them. And even with that knowledge, Ril felt he should double-check anyway, not wanting to risk losing anything he’d gained between him and Zexion.
“You’re absolutely sure about this? You’ve been through a lot, I’ll understand if you’d rather wait.” he said, mentally kicking himself when the smile faded and Zexion looked away from him. After a long moment of silence, Zexion finally met his gaze again, reaching out and wrapping his arms around Ril’s neck again, kissing him, it was surprisingly gentle, and for some reason, Ril felt his blood heating up from just that small bit of contact with the semi-petit Nobody. As though he knew from the start that that kiss would be enough incentive for Ril to put his doubts aside, Zexion moved away from him again, pausing to completely remove and discard his robe. And as Ril undressed, he again had to pause and simply admire the slender, somewhat childlike form Zexion had, the moonlight, which was the only light in the room at the moment, making his pale skin seemingly glow as he sat on Ril’s bed, watching and waiting. And like hell was Ril going to keep him waiting. Once he was undressed, he crawled onto the bed more, pulling Zexion close again and stealing another long kiss from him, smirking when Zexion gave a small moan into the kiss as he let his hands explore, adding in a small dose of pleasure with every touch, reveling in the soft moans, whines and whimpers he was eliciting from the normally calm and collected bookworm. He paused his exploration for a moment, guiding Zexion up onto his lap, shuddering as their erections rubbed against each other for a short moment. Then the kissing and caressing continued. He took his time, experimenting a bit to see what seemed to bring the most pleasure. Once he had that mapped out, he leaned forward until a now somewhat confused Zexion slid off his lap and was pinned under him.
Zexion’s first thought was to try to resist the hands on him, to try and escape the contact before the pain arrived, but there was no pain, only gentle touches and spikes of pleasure that were steadily turning any coherent thoughts he may have had to mush. He shuddered, giving an involuntary whimper when he felt hands on his hips, again, through the haze, his mind told him to brace himself for the pain, but, again, there was none. Only pleasure. He just barely managed to stifle a scream when Ril took him into his mouth, the heat was almost enough to send him over the edge, and again, all he was feeling was pleasure, white hot pleasure throughout every inch of his being. That was what sent him over, Ril swallowing however much he could. He sat up as Zexion caught his breath, looking down at him, face flushed, eyes still clouded with lust, hair and skin damp with sweat, the moonlight still giving him that somewhat eerie glow. He looked amazing. Once he was breathing somewhat normally again, Ril leaned in, kissing him even more possessively than he had before, he tasted what he assumed was himself in the kiss, and somehow that was a major turn on for him. Suddenly, Ril pulled back a bit, slicking his fingers with precum, then he leaned in close again, planting a short kiss on Zexion’s forehead.
“This might hurt a bit, but I’ll try to keep the pain to a minimum.” he said quietly, watching as the mild bit of dread leaked into Zexion’s eyes, “it’s ok,” he said, “you can trust me, remember? I won’t hurt you, Zexion. I promise.” Zexion gave a small nod. “Atta boy.” he said, “just try to relax and it’ll hurt less.” he said as he pushed one finger into Zexion, making him wince a bit, that dread still there in his eyes. Hesitating for a moment, he pushed a second finger into the tight entrance, watching the dread increase a bit, again he began to rethink the entire thing when he saw tears starting to form in those beautiful blue eyes. Zexion shut his eyes tightly when a third finger was finally added, the fear rising as he felt the fingers in him moving, ever so slowly, pulling almost all the way out, then pushing back in, going a bit deeper each time, picking up the pace a bit each time, he was struggling to relax, the pain ebbing a bit as he adjusted. Then he felt a shock of pleasure, eyes open and widening a bit, his vision filling with stars at the next jolt of pleasure, the pain slowly being forgotten. Finally, the fingers left him and Ril moved over him, pushing his legs apart more, the fear was slowly returning, he gripped the sheets tightly, waiting for the pain to come, shutting his eyes again, only to open them a few seconds later, confused when he felt Ril grab his hand, entwining their fingers, then leaning down to kiss him again. “Ready?” he whispered, Zexion hesitated, finally giving a shaky nod. “Alright.” he positioned himself at Zexion’s entrance, debating on what would and wouldn’t possibly make Zexion panic, finally pushing in slowly, pausing after he was in to the hilt, both to give Zexion time to adjust and to revel in the perfect balance of tightness and heat he was buried in. After waiting a short while, he started moving, not surprised when the damaged Nobody under him latched onto him, crying a bit. He held the smaller body close, carefully, as though Zexion would break if he was too rough with him. And he had a feeling that, in a way, he would. Not long into the affair though, after adding a spike of pleasure in every touch and kiss, and quiet, comforting words, he had Zexion moaning, crying out and begging for more. And he obliged, for most of the night.
“You...you know... “Ril said, for once out of breath after a bout of sex, “I think that....was the best sex....I have ever had.”
Zexion gave a tired laugh, snuggling up closer to Ril, glad that for once, he wasn’t left alone after sex.
“That’s flattery and you know it.” he said, again letting his new lover do as he pleased with him, a few chaste kisses turning into more passionate, longer kisses, turning into rather animated making out, ending in Zexion on his back under Ril again.
“Yeah, “Ril said before pushing into Zexion again, hitting that spot that had the Nobody seeing stars, “but it works.”
END!
Accompanying song:
Can’t Fight the Moonlight
by Leann Rimes
“Under a lovers' sky
Gonna be with you
And noone's gonna be around
If you think that you won't fall
Well just wait until
Til the sun goes down
Underneath the starlight - starlight
There's a magical feeling - so right
It'll steal your heart tonight
You can try to resist
Try to hide from my kiss
But you know
But you know that you can't fight the moonlight
Deep in the dark
You'll surrender your heart
But you know
But you know that you can't fight the moonlight
No, you can't fight it
It's gonna get to your heart
There's no escape from love
Once a gentle breeze
Weaves it's spell upon your heart
No matter what you think
It won't be too long
Til your in my arms
Underneath the starlight - starlight
We'll be lost in the rhythm - so right
Feel it steal your heart tonight
You can try to resist
Try to hide from my kiss
But you know
But you know that you can't fight the moonlight
Deep in the dark
You'll surrender your heart
But you know
But you know that you can't fight the moonlight
No you can't fight it
No matter what you do
The night is gonna get to you
Don't try then
You're never gonna win
Underneath the starlight - starlight
There's a magical feeling - so right
It will steal your heart tonight
You can try to resist
Try to hide from my kiss
But you know
But you know that you can't fight the moonlight
Deep in the dark
You'll surrender your heart
But you know
But you know that you can't fight the moonlight
No, you can't fight it
You can try to resist
Try to hide from my kiss
But you know
Don't you know that you can't fight the moonlight
Deep in the dark
You'll surrender your heart
But you know
But you know that you can't fight the moonlight
No, you can't fight it
It's gonna get to your heart”
