Ghosts

This poem was done for no real reason. I just had had it in my mind for so long, it was beginning me to write it. It is actually one of my personal favorites.

Ghosts

I have seen the sky open with tears, making tracks on the water

I have seen a moon full, drawing the wolves to howl on the shore

I have seen the ghost of the maiden sea, her silver flank glowing in the depths

I have seen the razors tear through the waves like tissue

I have seen the crystalline masses surely scatter and turn red

I have seen her obsidian turn to the purest white

I have seen the storm and felt the maiden’s breath

I have seen the moon reflect off her, not yet disturbed by the rain

I have seen the soft glow of the ghost, yet I feel no fear
