Prologue: Happy birthday...You're engaged!
"Damn it! How could you do such a thing to me!" Reishka asked in an angered tone. "Don't you love me anymore, don't you want me anymore? What did I do wrong?" He could feel the hot tears sting his cheeks, he felt hurt and betrayed. "Don't I help you enough?"
His mother Rasha looked at him with tears of her own. "You help me too much my dear son. You've sacrificed so much to take care of me. You shouldn't have too. This is the best thing for you."
"Mom...I love you. I don't want to go to America, I don't want to live with grandma Naggi. I want to stay here with you." Reishka stated grabbing his mother's hands he looked at her pleadingly. "Please Momma, please let me take care of you, you're sick. You need me."
Rasha looked down at her trembling hands, her heart felt as if it had been peirced with a sharp knife. She hated to see her son looking hurt but knew that it was for the best. The doctor gave her three months to live...she didn't want her son to see her wilting like a flower. She didn't want him to watch her die. Besides he was almost sixteen and would be under the bond. She would let Naggi explain that.
"Mom I don't want to go." Reishka spoke softly.
"I have made up my mind." Rasha said in a tough tone.
"I hate this! How could you do this, I'll never forgive you." Reishka said running upstairs and slamming the door to pack.
His mother had flinched when she heard the door slam. She broke into tears. Sending her son away was the hardest thing she had ever done.
Reishka didn't speak to his mother that morning and just stomped out the door to go to school. Though half-way there he felt like crap for yelling at her like that. He got of the bus and was immediantly hugged by his girlfriend Yuna. Yuna looked beautiful dressed in a white t-shirt and blue jeans. She had long thick brown hair that was braided back and brown eyes hidden behind square shaped glasses. "Hey Yuna."
Yuna kissed him gently on the cheek causing him to blush. "What's wrong sweetie...you look like shit warmed over on a hot dessert day."
Reishka chuckled. "I'm alright...well...I need to talk to you at lunch okay."
Yuna held his hand as they walked into the school together. "Sure thing sweetie." Lunch time arrived but Reishka who didn't feel like eating moved his food around his plate. "You should be happy summer is here we will be able to spend more time together."
"That is what I wanted to talk to you about." Reishka said softly his voice cracking. "Mother is sending me away to America."
Yuna looked shocked. "Why would she send you there?"
"To live with my grandmother Naggi." Reishka said frowning. "So what do we do...do you want to break up?"
"No hun, I'll write you and you writed me. Maybe I'll be able to visit you." Yuna replied taking his hand.
After school Reishka said goodbye to Yuna and promised to write her. Then he went home. "Mom I'm sorry about yelling last night." He was shocked to find her in the kitchen cooking kimchi fried rice and pulling out Sushi, his favorite. "Mom are you sure you're okay enough to cook?"
Rasha smiled at him. "I'm stronger then I was. I have to drive you to the airport." she felt saddened when his smile vanished. "I know you hate it now my dear. But maybe someday when your old enough to understand why I'm doing this...maybe then you will forgive me. Maybe then you won't hate me."
Reishka wrapped his arms around his mother. "I don't hate you! I love you...I just don't want to leave."
"Well you have no choice there." Rasha replied. "Come eat dinner with me."
Six hours later Reishka found himself stepping out of the airport. "Reishka!" An old lady yelled and wrapped him tightly in a hug. "My sweet gran baby how was your trip? Are you tired? Are you..."
"He can't breath." A girl replied.
"Oh..." Naggi said looking down to see Reishka in her bosoms. He was struggling to get out of the hug. Naggi dropped her arms. "I'm sorry. I was just so excited to see you again."
"Hey Reishka remember me?" A girl asked.
He looked up to see the weirdest looking girl he had ever seen. She had strawberry red braided into very small braids, bright neon green eyes. She was wearing a bright yellow shirt with wolfs on it, a hot pink skirt with green frogs on it. Brown moccosings and poka dotted suspenders. She had dangling firefly earings and weird scarrings on her face. On her left cheek was a bird shaped scar and on her right cheek was one lined scar and one scar that curled up. He knew he didn't know her. "No I'm sorry."
They drove home in silence and then it began to get weird. He was grabbed by a tall man with curly black hair. "So this is the one."
"Don't touch me!" Reishka said.
"But you are my fiance.."
Before Reishka could say anything a goth chick showed up smoking a cigarette. "That can't be as he is my fiance."
Then another person showed up. A tall man with long silver hair that went to his ankles. "I am his fiance."
"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!" Reishka yelled.
