The Sacred Story
Chapter 1
************************************************************************
Johnny Wickin age 24, brown hair and blue eyes was a fiction writer. He would travel to
find stories that he could write and share them with the world in his books. Johnny had
already written two books from two different stories which he had been told over seas.
Though he wasn’t quite sure if the stories actually happened or people just made them
up. However people seemed to buy his books and enjoyed them by sending him letters and
emails.
Johnny was happy that so many of his books were bought and decided to write another one.
All he needed was another story so he traveled to a small town in the middle of Alice
Springs in Australia. Johnny had to fly of course which took a couple of days since he
lived in America.
He had packed enough for the couple of days he would be staying their. Johnny had never
been to Australia but knew that it was a beautiful country. He had heard that in a small
town called ‘Lydia’ that their was a story that had been told through out the
generations. It was something that Johnny wanted to hear for himself about a single
story that lasted forever amongst the towns people.
When Johnny arrived the first thing he did was book into a hotel and then go were the
story had been told. Johnny put all his belongings into his hotel room before leaving
and shutting the door on the way out.
“Excuse me but could you tell me where the towns library is” Johnny asked the hotel
manager. “Why its just across the street from the laundry mat on ‘hopeday rd’ just
around the corner from here only walking distance” then the old man went back to his
business. “Thank you very much” and with that Johnny followed the old mans directions
which lead him straight to the library.
When Johnny walked in the whole library was deserted not a single soul insight. “Hello
anyone here” all Johnny could hear was his own footsteps along the smooth grey
tiles. “Hello” Johnny called out again until he heard some footsteps which were not his
own this time.
“Can I help you” an old lady walked out of a room she was crippled and grey. “Yes I am
sorry to disturb you but I have heard that someone here knows a very old story which has
been shared for many years in this town I was hoping to meet that person so I may hear
the story myself” Johnny asked her. “Then you have come just in time, please come with
me if you wish to hear it” so Johnny followed the old lady back into the room.
Inside the lady sat down near a fire place which was the only light in the room. “Please
sit down” she told him. Once seated he grabbed his pen and paper waiting for the old
lady to start.
“So you wish to know the story of ‘the sacred memory’ then so be it” the old lady
settled herself down. “Before the time of peace ther was the time of war and hatred,
humans were more like monsters to their fellow man, they were full of hate and rage and
some with despair in their hearts, in this world there were four clans separated by
their own greed and corruption” Johnny kept writing all the details the lady was telling
him.
“These four clans had different names ‘Orthia’ named after the goddess of wild things
and hunter, ‘Hephaestus’ named after the god of forge and fire, workman to the
immortals, ‘Hecate’ named after the goddess of crossways, the dark side of the moon and
magic and the fourth ‘Hespera’ named after the goddess of Dusk”.
This information was very interesting to Johnny’s ears he let the woman continue
on. “All four clans each had a story, telling why they were named after four powerful
gods, in each clan their was a leader who would rule over the entire clan and make all
the decisions just like in these days however their orders were quite different from our
own, which is how they brought war to their time”.
“What is the highlight of this story though” Johnny asked her, “the highlight is the
love that was in the hearts of two unlikely people, Sevadore the captain of the
Hephaestus clan and Norwin the captain of the Hecate clan, they were two strong brave
soldiers, they had courage, strength and were great captains to their army, both
Sevadore and Norwin were hand chosen by their leaders themselves”.
“How did the love become of these two men” Johnny was rather excited wanting to know
more and more. “It was not suppose to happen their love for one another but it did and
on very high grounds where great consequences would fall upon both of them if anyone
found out at all, the story truly takes place right here in ‘Lydia’ four thousand years
ago”.
