Little One

Little One
Author: Butterfly Beauty

So alone in such a grand place,
Over looked and forgotten.
So many, yet so few.
We forget each other and drift apart.
No longer remembering our faces,
The dreams that we shared are gone long forgotten to the abyss of our past.
The light we had is now diminished; like a candle set out in the rain.
Who we were are no longer us for we are no one we are nothing. We are forgotten.
What is remembered is the light of before; of us as we used to be sweet, kind, and fortunate.
It was always who we were that was of importance, not who we would be. So now forgotten what remains is what there always was the light, the hope, the little one.

What would be given to be the little one once again.
With what it means to be in the sweet bliss of ignorance.
That of childhood or what it means for you to be carefree without worry and ignorant of the troubles of the world, or your own grief in whatever forms it may be.

I know it's not the best poem in the world, but I'm happy with how it turned out. Rate and Review please it would mean so much to me. To know your thoughts, opinions on my work I really hope to publish some of it someday. This poem in particular I can't explain in words what it means for me. For what it means to me can only be expressed through feelings that I've had about my life and those in it.
