Good night world
As I lay in my bed, his rifle in my hand,
The weapon he coveted above anything else in the land,
My mind races with visions of him.
His glory,
His smile,
His charming laugh,
More heart warming than any laugh of a child,
And my eyes burn.
Things he had once shared with me,
Belong now to another.
All the nights I was with hi, I prayed.
Not for money,
Not for myself,
But for His happiness,
And his health.
I could care less how I ended up,
As long as he came out on top.
That is where I failed,
Not him, but myself.
I failed to care for myself,
I cared too much for him.
But Love makes you blind,
And go out on a whim.
You lose track of time,
And the shape you are in.
Until they leave you for another,
And the pain doth begin.
And so his rifle is raised,
With a delicate hand.
This is not how I saw it all,
This is not what I saw as my plan.
I saw us together,
And we would life our days just fine.
But then he gave away what I held most precious,
What had once been mine.
He stole my heart and pawned it for cash,
For a thin boy who was lose and fast.
And as I part my lips he once kissed,
I place the barrel within.
And this is one battle,
I know I can’t win.
I'm not a gun fan,
Daggers and swords are what I treature,
But this seemed so much more sitting,
And would give Me more pleasure.
He was not there when the trigger was pulled,
Or when the bang took away my pain.
He was not there when the ash came to ash,
Or when the trumpets roared,
Then again neither was I.
Up I waited, and watched and prayed,
That he would be happy until his last day.
For love fallowed me to death, and was my pain,
To see him and his boy die the same way.
Aids from the lose boy’s many partners,
Contracted the night I left the pain of love,
From a one night stand, when no one wore a glove.
As fitting an end,
To so tragic a tale,
I’d do it all over,
Just to help him not fail.
I love him now,
Stuck between heaven and hell,
Waiting to hear, my last call, or bell.
To see where I go,
Though deep down I know,
That for my sin I’m stuck here,
For this is my hell.
I can see him now, him and his boys,
Both rotting away as Satan’s toys,
For no one is perfect,
And no one is right,
But for your mistakes in life,
You will pay one night.
A night that is black, or red as the sun,
A night when it all ends, and the world is done.
We will all pay for what we did wrong.
And for those we hurt.
But for people like me,
Who take the easy way out,
We soon realize that without a doubt,
Easy may not be the best road to go.
What is easy now gets harder in the long run.
What pains you now will kill you will kill you when it’s all done.
So remember pain only lasts so long.
And just like every good tale or song.
It all ends one way or another.
So goodnight to you all,
Goodbye to all that fall,
And to those that hang in it till the end.
I say good like to you, my friend.
The weapon he coveted above anything else in the land,
My mind races with visions of him.
